“Kalley was amazing!! I needed a new sitter as my previous sitter stopped doing in-home boarding, and Kalley was phenomenal. She was very attentive and kept me updated daily on how Marley was doing via text and pictures. I knew he was extremely comfortable in her home which really put me at ease. Thank you Kalley to you and your family for taking such good care of Marley!”

“Yzabella is one of the best dog sitters we have ever hired. She is very dedicated to the pets and shows them love. We can tell because our dog return back home after nearly 2 weeks very happy. While we were away, Yzabella has been staying in frequent communication with us, sending pictures and we can really tell that she show pets a lot of attention. She is very caring and we will definitely be back to her and hire her for dog sitting again when we need to go on another trip where we can not take our dog with us. Great job, really thankful for everything she did. 5/5 definitely! Thank you really so much from bottom of our hearts, Yzabella! See you again soon!”

“Walter and his family continue to take amazing care of our puppy. When leaving today, she whimpered - that’s a sign of a happy girl! We are so happy to have found this loving family. Thank you again for all that you do to make Harper feel right at home. We look forward to working with you again soon!”

“Once again, Cindy was the best! My dog was happy to see Cindy. She treats my dog like one of the family. She makes sure she’s fed, walked, and sends me pictures and a note. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Cindy is the best!!”

“Alexsys has watched my dogs 3 times now and is the best dog sitter. My dogs love going over there and I love all the updates and pictures I get from her. As long as she is dog sitting and willing I will always use her!”

“Excellent as always we so appreciate how Tamara takes great care of Kai. He’s always so excited to stay with her. It makes it easier for us when we go out of town highly recommend.”

“Linda is the best! This is the second time we board our dog with her and let me tell you, Hades loves her!!! She is loving, and takes good care of our dog. Not to mention she gives us daily updates. Hades is always happy when he stays with her. We definitely will keep choosing her for our little guy.”

“Heather was great! Kept me informed on how my dog Cody was doing and sent pics of him with her dogs. Cody seemed to love her Lab. Lots of room to run in her fenced in back yard. Will definitely use her again!”

“Desirae took excellent care of my fur babies. She sent lots of pictures throughout the stay as well which was much appreciated. They always looked happy in the pictures as well. Desirae was also very flexible with the needs of my pups and with pickup/drop off times. Would definitely book with her again.”
“Lauren provided excellent care for Bryce. She regularly sent photos and videos of him throughout his stay with her. Her yard is large and fenced in so plenty of space for your pup to zoom around. High recommend her for your dog sitting needs!”

“Yogi enjoyed his stay. I like that there are options. Dogs can stay in the house. But if they are more comfortable outside, she has a deck with access to a fenced in grass area. Good communication. No problems.”

“Katherine did a great job with our shy dog. Katherine gave Ginger plenty of space and she gradually introduced Ginger to the rest of the dogs to create a smooth transition. I’m very pleased to have found Katherine and I’ll be calling on Katherine again when the need arises.”

“Millie had a great time. Pamela was very communicative and was understanding when my travel plans changed. Received photos and videos the whole time I was gone. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m Hope, a lifelong dog lover and experienced pet sitter offering in home dog boarding in a calm, family setting. I’m a stay at home mom to my two year old, so your dog will have constant supervision, attention, and care throughout the day. Our home is peaceful, loving, and ideal for dogs who enjoy being part of a family environment. We’re lucky to have a beautiful setup for pups: a fenced front yard/garden for safe outdoor time, plus an acre of land and nearby dog friendly trails for walks, sniffing, and exploring. Whether your dog loves playtime or prefers a slower pace, I tailor care to their needs and routine. Because I have a young child, I do require that all dogs are comfortable around children. Your dog will be treated like one of our own with plenty of love, structure, and attention so they feel safe, relaxed, and at home while you’re away. I’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine since I’m a stay-at-home mom and home throughout the day. Your dog will be part of our everyday rhythm—morning outdoor time, walks, play, rest, and evening wind-down. Because I’m home most of the time, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, attention, and care without long gaps. Throughout the week, I keep a steady routine while also adjusting to each dog’s needs, energy level, and schedule. My goal is to create a calm, predictable environment where your dog feels comfortable and cared for like part of the family. I send lots of updates and pictures and follow all care instructions carefully! I want you to feel comfortable with your pet in my care!
“We are so fortunate to have found Lori. Only problem is our dogs don’t want to come home with us after staying with her. Lori’s love for our pups comes through every time they stay with her. The talent she has to create the most amazing professional photographs we’ve ever seen is remarkable. We can’t get our 15 year old son to sit still for a picture, yet Lori is able to place our pups in the most beautiful settings - and stay there while she captures their photos! Just exceptional in all ways. Can’t wait to find an excuse to travel and send our dogs over to Lori for some more spoiling.”

“Whitney was incredible good with my little one. She took care of him very well when I was sick. And Tokyo had a great time with her dog Feather. She sent me lots of pictures and lmk all the time of how was my dog, and I appreciate that very much. Thank you Whitney!!!”

“Jordan was amazing. In her profile she mentions last-minute options & that saved our last minute trip. I'm new to Rover & expected people's availability was accurate but over a dozen people provided bad info. She accepted hours before we dropped our dog with her. She was kind & brought my dog on errands & Starbucks for a pup cup.😂 Her location is super convenient driving from Arlington to 81 on 66. She has a few children that loved playing with Opal. She didn't introduce her dog with ours which is fine. Would definitely reach out again if we go that way.”

“Kalley took wonderful care of my young cats over Christmas. My kittens are probably the most social cats out there so they loved that she played with them and gave them attention. Kalley sent detailed reports and pictures. I’ll definitely book her again!”

“Pamela did an amazing job taking care of my cat for a week while I was out!! She was really attentive and left me great pictures. I felt very at-ease knowing she was there to watch over my cat! 💛”

“Mariah was amazing with my cats and my African Grey Parrot. Came home to a clean and well fed crew. Highly recommend Mariah for all your pet sitting needs.”

“Meghan was a great choice for our little Bean! Very prompt, communicative, and was able to help us out for a very last minute trip. So grateful she was able to help us. Appreciate her loving care for our fur baby!”

“Lauren was so sweet and helpful while we were away. I was very nervous to leave my cats but she made it possible and sent photos and videos to help alleviate my anxiety. She always replied to me in a timely manner and I was so happy to leave my kitties in great hands. Choose Lauren if you want someone who goes out of their way to work with you!”

“Thank you so much for your wonderful care of our cat, Georgie! Delainey did a wonderful job taking care of him while we were gone. She kept us up-to-date with photos and details, which make traveling much easier. Thanks again!”

“I used Rover for the first time and chose Jordan because of experience based on her photos with bigger dogs. She booked a last minute with a 3 day commitment requiring 2 drop in visits per day. She communicated with me quick and well, sent photos etc. I was unsure about using Rover and thought I might need to call or text, but now fully confident in the service. I would book with Jordan again in the future and probably won't go back to boarding. Our dog seemed happy to stay at home, and not stress being away from us and at a kennel.”
“Nothing but great things to say about Molly. She was on time, stayed the whole length of visit, was kind and generous to my boy and gave him lots of attention and play time. I received multiple photos and videos of him being a total goober with her. She made me feel reassured and secure in knowing that he was in very capable hands. 10/10, would recommend!”

I have plenty of free time, so I would be able to keep your fur baby company anytime needed and give them lots of not only play time but affection. I have a fenced in yard and three fur babies to keep yours company! I can easily crate your pet if need be. Fun and loving environment.
“Kim was so great! This was our first time booking with Rover and I am so glad we found her. Kim was very thorough, sending updates and pictures each day of all our pets. I appreciated her wealth of experience; it was especially comforting to know that she has cared for senior cats, betta fish, and even chickens. She thought of things that I didn’t even think of in terms of pet care and went above and beyond to make sure all our animals were happy during our week away and things were tidy around food bowls and litter boxes for our return. I would absolutely book with Kim again!”
“Sherry was amazing! We decided to go on a last minute trip and she met with us the night before we left. She was so nice and a joy to be around so we knew Charlie would love her! This was our first time leaving him but we were reassured by her personality. She did everything we wanted and more. We can't thank her enough and we highly recommend her! We will definitely use her services in the future!”

“Jordan was amazing! I plan to book her again if available! I can tell my pup was excited & happy with his doggy daycare visits. Not only did she accept my last minute booking, but she was open and very negotiable with pick uo & drop off times. She frequently sent pics, walked my pup multiple time a day & had no doubts leaving my dog in her care. Would highly encourage anyone to consider booking her for pet services!”

“Emily treated Hank like a little prince. She provided pictures throughout Hank’s stay showing him being pampered. It was great to know Hank was having a fun stay. Thank you Emily”

“Shaghayegh made Tucker feel right at home. He went into her house happy and excited. I received photos of their walk. I’m happy and I highly recommend Shaghayegh.”

About: I've always had a love for animals and love working with them! I've grown up with dogs and love to be around them. My mom used to breed labs and I would help her socialize and take care of the puppies to prepare them for their new homes! My family always had at least six dogs at a time that I would help take care of as well! I also used to work for a kennel for almost two years, I have worked for a doggie daycare as well for about 2 years! I am currently enrolled in an online vet tech course and plan to finish that in the next year or so. I currently work a full time job 8-430 but am available weekends and would love to watch your pets!
“Absolutely the best, and works with my dysfunctional schedule… my dog comes home happy and tired from playing all day. I couldn’t work comfortably without her. 1000/10 recommend doggy day care with her!”

About: I love dogs! I’ve taken care of neighbor’s and friend’s dogs and currently have one of my own. I have experience with puppies, older dogs, walking and training dogs on and off lead. I currently work only part-time, so I have a lot of free time on my hands. There are a few weekends or nights that I’ll be away, but we can book in advance. I have a private house with tons of green space and corn fields. We have no visible neighbors, so your dog will enjoy a bit of the peaceful country lifestyle. My dog goes outside off-leash, but I can keep yours on to keep them safe.
“Haejin & Herscel were wondering caretakers! They were open to taking my dog for daycare a few days before and treated her so well. I liked that they only take a few dogs a day to reduce exposure and ensure they are all being watched. I loved the occasional photo and video updates, which her other daycare doesn't do it all. She came home very tired from playing all day, which was exactly what we wanted. I look forward to using them again!”

About: Dog care certified in Argentina, as an animal lover I want to pursue career caring for them. Since young, I used to spend a lot of time in dog walks and parks with them. I believe now, I can provide them the perfect environment of a fenced backyard of 10.000 sqf. I love to exercise and pamper pups and we're easy to reach, even for a last-minute need. With some dog training experience and a lot of love for dogs, I look forward to taking care of your family member like one of our own. Depending on your pup's needs, I will take long playtime or jogs with your dog. If your furry family member just needs companionship and loving attention, I am happy to provide that kind of care, too. Photos of your dog will be shared with you throughout their visit. I love to send lots of pictures of my guests. My house is generally a cage-free environment, but will use your crates if that is what your pup is used to at home. I have a couple of gates to use as necessary to separate dogs during meals and to give them a large, safe play area in our home.
About: I have owned and cared for a variety of dog breeds for 20+ years and will care for your furry kids like they are my own. I currently own two pups and live in a large home with lots of wooded acreage to have fun in. I work from home so am able to care for your pets in your own home with walks and drop ins, or am able to care for them in my own house and am present almost 24/7 for lots of potty breaks and play. I also have some knowledge in pet first aid in case of emergency I worked in a vet clinic and studied pet medicine in high school. My dogs love to play with others and can ware out your pooches to help them get a good night sleep!
“Lauren was a great sitter! She was very conscientious about making Max’s stay comfortable for him and checked in with me throughout the day. I would definitely have her watch him again”

“Taking on a totally unknown dog from a cross-country road trip, IS a risk. We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. Linda really seems to love the dogs, she had 1-2 fosters there when we arrived (not sure, as I think I only saw 1). While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend. If you read this Linda, I am interested in that food you had there for your fosters. Please shoot me a message, I may look at ordering it to try next time. Thanks again!”

“Lisette is WONDERFUL and her family is also so nice. She was very friendly and lovable, super communicative, helpful, and also flexible. She took great care of my dog and sent photos throughout the day, and he was really happy and relaxed (and in no hurry to leave) when I came to pick him up so I know he loved being there! I definitely recommend her and will send my dog there again anytime she's available!”

Our animals have access to water all day and we can feed them according to your schedule or leave food out.
“Sherry took our menagerie of dogs and cats in stride when she arrived and she handled my dog Duncan with ease during the walk. She obviously loves animals and my dog, who is sometimes shy with strangers, immediately liked her and will be happy to see her the next time she comes. I highly recommend her if you need a good caretaker for your pets.”

I provide a calm, clean, and secure environment for every visit. About: (Brand new to Rover) I’ve been around animals since the day I was born, and dogs have always felt like big, goofy, furry toddlers — full of personality, joy, and chaos in the best way. I currently live in an anti‑pet apartment (tragic, I know), so I’m looking to fill that dog‑shaped hole in my heart by being the next best thing: your pup’s reliable walking and hiking buddy. I’m an active, outdoorsy person who loves long walks, trails, and exploring. Whether your dog is a tiny ball of energy or a large, gentle giant, I’m comfortable with all sizes, temperaments, seniors, and puppies. I’m patient, confident, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s quirks. What I offer: Long walks or trail hikes for high‑energy pups Picture updates so you can see their adventures Flexible scheduling — I’m a teacher on summer break, so I’m wide open With a friendly, upbeat personality, your dog will warm up quickly If your dog needs exercise, company, or just someone who treats them like the lovable toddler they are, I’d love to help. Let’s get your pup out exploring and having fun. As a teacher on summer break, pet care fits naturally and easily into my weekly routine. I’m active every day, walking, hiking, or spending time outdoors, so adding a dog to that rhythm feels like the most joyful part of my schedule. I have plenty of flexibility, which means I can plan walks around your dog’s needs rather than squeezing them into a tight window. (ADDITION: Until May 30th, I can only walk dogs on weekends because of my teaching and coaching schedule) Since I live in an anti‑pet apartment, all of my care happens in your home or out on the trail. I treat every dog like the big furry toddler they are, with patience, structure, and a lot of enthusiasm. Here’s what my care typically looks like: Consistent routines: I follow your feeding, walking, and potty schedule exactly as you prefer. Active outings: long walks or trail hikes for dogs who need to burn energy, or gentle strolls for seniors. Safety first: secure leashing, checking gear, watching for heat, and keeping a close eye on body language. Clean and respectful home care: wiping paws, refreshing water, tidying up any messes, and leaving your home exactly as I found it. Photo updates: I send regular pictures so you can see your pup’s adventures and feel connected while you’re away. Calm companionship: whether your dog is tiny and energetic or large and mellow, I match their vibe and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Because I’m free all summer, I can offer flexible scheduling, longer walks, and extra attention, especially for dogs who thrive on activity and routine.
About: I have taken care of dogs for 3 to 4 years. I do have experience with cats as well. I enjoy making new friends and love playing, relaxing and cuddling, furry friends. I have watched dogs for friends for almost 3 to 4 years in a row. I’m currently doing in home care for clients and have tons of flexibility around that, as well as in school. I have most days free and would love to watch your furry friends! I always make sure to have whatever I need on daily walks if Dogs on meds I make sure they are given. I always make sure to leave the home as found, as well as follow instructions by clients.
About: What sets me apart is my personal experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and life stages. I’ve raised and cared for five dogs throughout my life, including Labs, Golden Retrievers, Chihuahuas, and German Shepherds, so I understand the very different needs of small, medium, and large breeds. I trained my own puppy from 8 weeks old, teaching her a wide range of tricks and good behaviors, which gave me a lot of patience and training skills. I’m also comfortable handling more challenging dogs as one of my Chihuahuas was very aggressive, which taught me how to read body language and safely manage reactive pets, from a young age. In addition, I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs. I’ve helped raise multiple dogs into old age, including a German Shepherd that lived until 15, and a Labrador Retriever that lived until 17! I understand the gentleness, and care older dogs require. Overall, I bring a lot of confidence to this role because of my genuine understanding of dogs at every stage of life. I just finished my undergrad and plan to be home all summer. I begin graduate school in the fall online and will practically have no big everyday commitments. I have a few vacations planned but besides that I am an open book willing to work anytime. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible. (Dogs know their schedule!) I follow all instructions closely and carefully for any specific care needs. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I have cared for dogs that experience extreme distress from their owner being gone and I have developed my skills to better care for dogs experiencing this. I’m also very attentive to behavior and health, so I can quickly notice if something seems off. I respect my client’s home by secure and exactly as I found it. My goal is to make both the pet, and the owner feel completely at ease, just as I would want if my dog was being watched.
“After 16 years, we finally decided to try a dog walker with our dog. We couldn't have picked a better person to trust her with! After meeting Meghan we felt very confident with her taking care of Lily. We will definitely use her again.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and done training and dog walking in a shelter as a volunteer. I love getting dogs outside and letting them run around. I have been hiking with my dog for his entire life and was able to train him on the leash and off the leash to allow us to have the freedom to run free and the ability to get him on the leash and behave around other dogs and people on the road and on the trails. I have been dog sitting for the last 8 years and love spending time with all the pups. I can’t wait to take care of animals and give them the necessary play time and exercise when you’re not there to. I keep my schedule updated to where I am unavailable when I work to allow for your pets to get the utmost care. However I am willing to work with you around my work schedule! I have experience with reactive dogs and I will keep your dog safe and on a leash unless in a fenced in yard. I prefer staying at the dogs home to help them stay comfortable
About: “Compassionate Care for All Creatures – Big, Small, and Furry 🐕🐈🐴” Hi, I’m Virginia — owner of Virginia’s Haven LLC, where pets of all kinds are treated like family. From playful pups and cozy cats to barn animals and reactive dogs, I bring years of experience, patience, and love to every pet I care for. Whether you need daily dog walks, drop-in cat care, house visits for your senior pet, or even a calm hand during end-of-life transitions, I’m here for you and your animals every step of the way. I also offer pet taxi services to help get your furry loved ones where they need to go — vet appointments, grooming, or even just home from daycare. At Virginia’s Haven, it’s not just about pet sitting — it’s about creating peace of mind, compassionate support, and a second home for your animals. I’m available 7 days a week, all year round, including holidays. I know how important consistent, reliable care is — and I’ll always do my best to integrate you and your pets into my schedule, even during busy times. Whether it’s a last-minute walk, a weekend getaway, or long-term support, I’m here to help whenever you need me. 💖 🏡 How I Care for Pets in Their Own Home At Virginia’s Haven, I know that some pets feel most comfortable in familiar surroundings. Caring for pets in their own home means they can stick to their normal environment, scents, and routines, which helps reduce stress and keep them happy. When providing care in your home, I offer: 🐾 Familiar Routines — Keeping mealtimes, walks, and play sessions consistent with your pet’s normal schedule. 🛏️ Comfort in Their Own Space — Allowing your pet to sleep in their favorite spot or cuddle up with their usual blanket. 🦴 Play & Enrichment — Interactive play, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention tailored to your pet’s personality. 💊 Special Care — Administering medications or following specific care instructions for pets with medical or behavioral needs. 📸 Updates for Peace of Mind — Regular photos and updates so you know your pet is safe and happy while you’re away. This approach allows pets to remain relaxed and secure, while still receiving the same level of love and attention they would in my own home. ⸻ 🐶 How I Care for Pets in My Home At Virginia’s Haven, your pets are treated like part of the family — welcomed into a calm, loving, and structured environment where their comfort and safety come first. When caring for pets in my home, I provide: 🐾 Safe, Supervised Introductions 🛏️ Cozy, Designated Rest Areas 🦴 Plenty of Playtime, Enrichment, and Love 📆 Routine and Structure to help them feel secure 🐶 Individual Attention — especially for pets with anxiety or special needs I understand that every animal is different, which is why I tailor care based on your pet’s personality, preferences, and comfort level. ⸻ 🐕🦺 Important Note About My Own Dog 🐕🦺 I also have a reactive dog of my own who lives with me full-time. She’s incredibly loved and well-managed, but she does take some time to warm up to new dogs — we call her our “nervous nelly.” Because of this: • I use slow, controlled introductions • I monitor all interactions carefully • I may keep pets separated until I’m confident they’re comfortable Your pet’s emotional well-being is just as important as their physical safety, and I’ll always make thoughtful, professional decisions based on what’s best for everyone involved. 💖

About: I am a husky lover and owner who has spent most of my life taking care of dogs! I enjoy long walks with my pups and lots of play time! On the weekends, I enjoy taking my dogs on long hikes, taking them to the dog park for some play time and even runs on the beach. About: I’ve been caring for pets since my early teen years and have over 15 years of experience pet sitting for friends, family, neighbors, and long-term clients. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, from young puppies to senior dogs in their final years, and I’m comfortable giving medications, including pills and daily injections. For several years, I ran my own pet-sitting business throughout Northern Virginia. After recently moving to the Winchester area, I’m joining Rover to connect with new local families and continue doing something I genuinely love. I’ll do my best to keep your dog happy, comfortable, and on their normal routine while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages along the way. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I have a very flexible schedule and am home throughout the day. This allows me to provide consistent attention, including walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins without needing to work around a fixed job schedule. I have a fenced-in side yard/patio, which allows for secure outdoor time and potty breaks. Pets are always supervised when outside to ensure their safety. I also have a friendly mini Goldendoodle who is social and comfortable around other dogs. In addition, I have a shy cat who is dog-friendly and generally keeps to himself.

“Alexsys has watched my dogs 3 times now and is the best dog sitter. My dogs love going over there and I love all the updates and pictures I get from her. As long as she is dog sitting and willing I will always use her!”

“Gabby was very responsive, caring, and flexible. She was engaged with the dogs during their stay and patient with our shy girl. She's also willing to take on this extra responsibilty during a busy holiday season. She is the best!”

“This was our second time using Barbara. Will definitely use her again. She clearly loves animals and her regular updates were great! I was worried our boy might not want to come home. 🙂”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine passion for animals of all sizes and personalities. I have cared for many dogs of various breeds & sizes throughout my life and currently have three dogs and two cats at home. Besides cats & dogs, I have also cared for rabbits, guinea pigs, parakeets, hamsters, chickens, goats, and sheep! For the past two years, I have also volunteered at the SPCA in Winchester, gaining hands-on experience with pets of all ages, temperaments, and care needs. I am confident working with playful puppies, senior pets, and everyone in between. I am patient, outgoing, and truly love providing animals with the care and attention they deserve. I am a student at Virginia Tech, so I have availability here and there throughout the day! I am also available most evenings/nights for longer periods of time. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort above all else. At my home, pets enjoy a fully fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play, a walkable neighborhood for daily walks and fresh air, and a spacious deck that’s perfect for lounging and sunbathing. Inside, animals are treated like family in a clean, pet-friendly space with constant attention and care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their routines and space, ensuring their pets feel secure, loved, and well cared for in their own environment.
“This is our second time using Erin. We rearranged our schedule a bit to accommodate her because I was more comfortable using her again than other sitters. I am nervous about leaving my little Lucy with someone because she is pretty used to being home with someone all day. With Erin, she or another family member is home with the dog most if not all the time. She also sends lots of pics and updates which is such a comfort when you are stressed about leaving your dog. My pup seemed vey content and got lots of attention! Would not hesitate to book Erin again!”

“Both our dogs stayed with Kristi for 10 days and she and her husband were wonderful with them. Kristi sent us regular updates with pictures and was great to communicate with. She also did not hesitate to dog sit our dogs even if one had epilepsy. I would highly recommend Kristi and will probably use her service again when the time comes.”
