About: Hi there! My name is Catherine. I have grown up with dogs in my house and have always had a passion for animals. I always want to make sure your furry family members feel comfortable and loved while you’re away! I am reliable and make sure to communicate clearly when a problem arises, or just to send pictures because I know you miss your pet. I love going for walks around my neighborhood and make sure to give plenty of cuddles! I am in online school full-time, so I can your pet my full attention during the day. I am very active during the day and am never in the same spot twice, so there will be lots of activity if your dog needs it. I live in a gated community and can accommodate crated dogs. I also do not mind your dog being on the furniture! I do not currently own a pets and I live in a smoke-free household.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our shy mini doxie! Danielle was incredibly responsive and sent us daily updates with photos that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Despite booking last minute, she was flexible and accommodating with our schedule. She handled our pup’s shy nature with patience and care, and we could tell our dog felt comfortable with her. We highly recommend Danielle’s services and will definitely book with her again!”
“Svitlana really knows dogs. She walked my dog and sent pics and got to know her quirks quickly. Svitlana also continued with the same house rules we use at home. I will definitely have Pi stay with her again!”

“Kathryn was a WONDERFUL pet sitter for our little English bulldog, Daisy. She kept in touch with us and sent updates. We could tell Daisy really enjoyed her stay! Thank you, Kathryn!!!”

My pup is sweet but has some anxiety issues—Heather thoughtfully supported all of his needs while providing lots of pictures and updates to ease my mind while he was under her care. Highly recommended… will definitely be booking again!”

“This is Jake's second stay. Jocelyn has been more than accommodating and I think Jake has decided he likes it at her house. She has worked with me on all aspects of getting Jake to and from her house. Thank you so much! Jake and I appreciate you and are glad to have found you 💜.”

“Laura was so accommodating. My other sitter canceled the morning of and Laura was able to watch my pup the same day. She even came home from work during lunch to meet at my scheduled pickup time. She sent lots of pics during Rocky’s stay and even gave him a mini report card so I could see how he did. Definitely recommend!!!”

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

“Excellent communication! Susie loved spending time with Casey and her family. I received great photos while I was away. I would ask her to watch Susie again in the future. Highly recommended!”
“Our pup was eager to be with Brooke, certainly seemed happy in all the photos she sent us during his stay, and was healthy & happy to see us when we picked him up. What more could one want?”

“Bertie was amazing! It was my first time using Rover as a pet owner, and I needed a sitter for the day while on vacation. My puppy is still fairly young and is very attached to me, but she appeared to settle in pretty quickly and have a great time with some other pups. Bertie stayed in touch while I was out, sending pics and updates, and even recommended some great local spots to check out. Super happy with this experience!”

“Jani & Paul were able to graciously accommodate my puppy for daycare on very short notice. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay and will most definitely be booking again. The best!!!”

“Love Carolyn. She is super easy to get ahold of; always available, professional, and responsible with all the dogs! She has other awesome doggies that play with Izzy and I can tell she has a blast. Carolyn sends the cutest photos; it’s good to see that she’s enjoying herself! I will be having Izzy stay at Carolyn’s more in the future!!”

“Jenny is a wonderful dog sitter. Couldn’t recommend her more highly. She helped care for my golden after her cancer diagnosis and made sure she had lots of fun, attention, and happy times. Also wonderful handling the less glamorous parts of medicine and appetite changes. Tons of photos and updates, and incredibly flexible with drop-off and pick-up times. Very grateful to have had Jenny as a sitter, thank you!”

I have experience with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, reptiles, fish, and chickens. I am excited for the opportunity to look after your pets of all kinds! I have a flexible schedule as an online college student so I can spend the majority of time with your pets, in your home or mine. I like to stick to the routine your pet is used to, but am also open to taking them on adventures if they do well in a small car.
“what is a very awesome Rover mommy I’m very funny where I leave my puppy and she took care of her better than if she was her own puppy she even trimmed her nails for me. I definitely will be returning to Paula again many times she is more than a five star sitter thank you so much, Paul”

“Kirtly was very responsive, and gave a ton of feedbacks on the daycare session with our two dogs, one of which a 2 month old puppy. Will definitely book with Kirtly again.”

“Brooke is a fabulous person. Three couples descended on her with three dogs and she never batted an eye. There were updates and pictures during their stay. You are the best Brooke. Thank you.”

“Tina was so wonderful! I was a bit nervous going in as this was the first time I was leaving my 8 month old puppy with someone that I did not know. We set up a meet and greet during which my pup, Maizy displayed some anxiety, but Tina was not deterred. She knew Maizy needed to warm up at her pace and she got some treats right away to help build up some trust! She sent pictures and really helped me feel at ease that Maizy was well cared for! There was even a storm that rolled by which Maizy is terrified of thunder and Tina helped her feel safe! I would definitely book with her again should we need it!”
“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Bowie! Jayden was wonderful from start to finish. He kept us updated throughout our time away with regular messages and adorable photos of Bowie, which gave us peace of mind. It was clear that Bowie was well cared for and happy. Jayden’s communication was excellent - they were always responsive and proactive about letting us know how things were going. I came back to one very content puppy! I would absolutely book with Jayden again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring sitter.”

About: Personalized Boarding & Doggy Daycare! Your dog will be treated like part of the family while you're away. I intentionally keep my numbers low so every guest receives plenty of individualized attention and supervision. I'm a homeschool mom, homemaker, and lifelong dog lover. My husband, two daughters, and three dogs make our home a fun, safe, and loving environment where someone is home most of the day. 🐾 Meet & Greets Required I require a free meet-and-greet before accepting new clients to ensure we're a great fit for each other. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! As a homemaker, I'm present for the majority of the day, which allows me to provide consistent attention, potty breaks, and playtime throughout your dog's stay. Every dog adjusts differently, and I have the ability to tailor my routine accordingly. Your dog's comfort and safety are central to how I care for every guest. I closely supervise interactions between guest and resident dogs, and I take time to understand each dog's temperament and needs before allowing unsupervised play. Meals are served separately to maintain a calm environment and avoid food-related tension. I'm happy to follow your dog's established feeding schedule, medication routine, or any additional care instructions you provide. At bedtime, I do my best to replicate your dog's normal setup, whether that's a crate, a dog bed, or another familiar arrangement, so they feel settled and secure throughout their stay.

Whether you have a long day at work or a weekend vacation, I’ll be there for you! I work part time on the weekends up on the mountain and have lots of time during the week to help out with your dog! About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.
About: I am comfortable with all kinds of dogs and needs. I personally care for a GSD and a Heeler mix, and am comfortable with rambunctious and large dogs. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. I have lots of flexibility to meet the needs of your pets. I generally do not go out of town during major holidays. I have lived on estates as a property manager, and ran my own home repair business for several years. I’m good at handling emergencies, and enjoy fixing things when I have the opportunity
About: I have worked with several different breeds, and personalities of dogs. I also have experience with older dogs and being sensitive to their needs as they age. Providing a calm and reasurring presence to my canine friends, whether they are excited to see me or feeling a little stressed with their owner gone. I try to give my animal companions the best quality of life possible for them. I really love what I do. I currently work part time so I am able to give lots of time spending with furry friends. Animal care has become part of my daily routine and I couldn't imagine life with out it. In others homes I keep the enviorment low key and peaceful so as not disrupt them. I try to keep them on a regular schedule so they know what to expect and can relax a bit more.

About: I have a large family dog that I have been responsible for since I was about 10 years old. She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I am no stranger to having to clean up any accidents in the house so that is a non-issue for me. I am also open to taking care of other animals like rodents or turtles or other cage creatures. I am a true and passionate animal lover! My schedule is very flexible at the moment. I am happy to give as much or little time needed for the pets. I can figure out any scheduling and details necessary with clients. I am never loud coming into a home. I always let the pets come to me unless they are hiding on purpose. I take care instructions very seriously and will follow everything exactly and will reach out if I have questions about the best way I can care for your fur friend.

I am very active during the day and am never in the same spot twice, so there will be lots of activity if your dog needs it. I live in a gated community and can accommodate crated dogs. I also do not mind your dog being on the furniture! I do not currently own a pets and I live in a smoke-free household.
“Heather is super responsive and takes your pet’s needs seriously.

“Michelle was so amazing with our babies. They had a blast. She sent us videos and pictures each day as well as fun fandom daily updates as well which we greatly appreciated. We would recommend her to anyone in need of exceptional pet care. We know we will rebook in the future.”

“Sofia kept me posted on what and how my dog was doing, Althea, a 4 year old Labradoodle (who looks like a chocolate lab) Althea was in great shape and happy when I picked her up. I would definitely use Sophie again, and highly recommend her!”

“This was our first time leaving Pepe with a sitter and our first time using Rover, so we were a bit nervous, you never really know who you’re leaving your dog with. But Riley was exceptional from the very beginning. Even before I booked her, she helped me figure out how the app worked and made the whole process easy. During Pepe’s stay, she kept me 100% informed at all times with photos, videos, and messages. She was incredibly attentive, caring, and professional. I truly felt peace of mind knowing Pepe was in her hands. I have no doubt he was well cared for, and I would absolutely book her again. Thank you so much, Riley, for treating Pepe like your own dog, we truly appreciate it.”

“We needed a dog sitter last minute and Cory was able to accommodate and watch our dog Otto for the entire weekend we needed. He was very communicative and sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the weekend. Our dog was very happy and was well cared for the entire time. I would highly recommend using Cory and will definitely be reaching out to him again next time I am in the area.”

“Julie and her family took wonderful care of Willa! She got to go on plenty of walks and enjoyed lots of snuggles. Julie sent pictures and was easy to communicate with. Willa came home happy and we will definitely book with her again!”
