I am reliable and make sure to communicate clearly when a problem arises, or just to send pictures because I know you miss your pet. I love going for walks around my neighborhood and make sure to give plenty of cuddles! I am in online school full-time, so I can your pet my full attention during the day. I am very active during the day and am never in the same spot twice, so there will be lots of activity if your dog needs it. I live in a gated community and can accommodate crated dogs. I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. And I’m working on becoming a certified trainer, but for now I do not offer training services. I work a few part time gigs that change with the seasons. About: Lifelong dog owner with decades of experience caring for dogs both big and small. I work from home and am able to provide maximum companionship and plenty of exercise. Boarders or daycare get 2-3 walks/day, dozens of photos, and lots of love of course! I provide toys, bowls, a dog bed, treats, poop bags and a backup leash. A tired dog is a good dog :) feel free to bring your pet’s crate if you’d like! I grew up with border collies and labs, then rescued my own dogs in adulthood. One of my rescues was a very sick 3-month old puppy that I raised, so I am well-versed with puppy care. I do not currently have pets living in the home, so your dogs will have the run of the place! I own my own home on a quiet circle street. My yard is an expansive quarter acre of grass with access to miles of mowed walking paths off my backyard. When a visit starts, I like to take the dogs on a “Welcome Walk” to get acquainted in neutral outdoor space. I prioritize safety and clear communication (with owners and dogs!) to create a comfortable experience for all. I look forward to taking care of your wonderful pets! I work from home, so I am flexible for drop-ins, last-minute needs, or regular walks, and can give your dog consistent companionship…and some fun of course! Rain or shine, I am happy to take them out. I provide a treats (if allowed), a dog bed, bowls, toys and backup leash (but I prefer you bring the leash your dog is familiar with!). About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, goats, chickens, pigs, peacocks. You name it. I’ve been a huge fan of animals since I can remember. I’m super active outside and love taking pups out on hikes or walks. My last dog had to take meds so I’m also extra sensitive to pups that may need more present care. About: I have 2 dogs currently, and have had lots of different pets growing up. I have cat and dog sat for family and neighbors. I have also taken care of and helped out with foster kitties. About: I’ve grown up with dogs, cats, and chickens. I have been responsible for taking care of them throughout my childhood. In high school, I would dog sit for neighbors and family friends. In college, I would house sit as well as walk dogs. I currently have 1 dog of my own. I have cared for elderly dogs who require additional care as well as anxious dogs that need that extra attention and reassurance. I am home for the summer before going to law school and my schedule is very open and flexible! I love spending times with dogs and animals, so I am eager to do so this summer. My personal dog is fairly anxious and attached so I care for her by crating her when leaving for more than a couple of hours as this is a safe soothing place for her. My family’s dog is less anxious so she is fine by herself. Generally, I walk them once a day through the neighborhood, occasionally take them to dog parks, and play in the backyard with them. We have a doggy door so they go in and out frequently, but I have house sat and dog sat animals in apartment complexes where I would to take them out frequently during the day.
About: I have had pets from day one. My family has had 4 cats, 2 dogs, hamsters, lizards, fish, and even a hedgehog!. I’m currently a Nursing student who’s past career was a veterinary technician. Caring for animals is my passion and I hope I get to meet your fur babies sometime and give them some extra love. I have experience with dogs with special needs as well as dogs who are in rehabilitation. I am up for any task that includes a precious pup or any other fur baby that needs me.
