“Bunchy was well taken care of by Amer. Both her and her husband are extremely passionate about what they do and plan on taking Bunchy back every time I travel. They have a large yard for bunchy to run around and he came home happy and exhausted. Again, thank you for the daily pictures to keep me aware of his daily activities. This is much better than using those large pet hotels that restricts your dog. I am new to the area and grateful to have found Amber.”

“Sonja and Phil were very kind and welcoming. They did a great job making her feel at home and getting settled in. Sammi recently had spinal surgery, so they also ensured she was safe during her stay. Thank you so much for caring for my girl and also your rapid reasons to any inquires/messages.”

“Rosco had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend stay with Kathryn and her family :) They took such great care of him, like he was one of their own. She communicated and sent pictures daily. Rosco always looked so comfy and cozy, he sure enjoyed his holiday vacation!”

“Finn and Fiona had a great time staying with Connie and her family. They kept my dogs busy and happily playing, which is not an easy task as Finn is a 6 month old lab! She sent tons of pictures and videos, so I was able to relax and know that our pups were doing great and having a mini vacation too. They even went for a walk to the park which can be quite an event as Finn is an enthusiastic leash walker. Both Finn and Fiona came home and promptly fell into an exhausted sleep :] I would recommend Connie as a pet sitter and plan to book another stay for Finn and Fiona for an upcoming trip we have in November. ”

“Chris has alway been amazing!!! Great communication and flexibility. This is our third or fourth time booking and it won’t be our last!!! Thank you so much for always taking good care of Gunner!!!”

“Charlotte is absolutely amazing!!! She really helped us out with our two rambunctious 3 1/2 month old puppies when a family member was no longer able to watch the pups just days before our trip. With less than a week Charlotte was able to schedule an and meet and greet and add get us on her schedule. We were really in a jam and appreciate her so much. Charlotte has a lot of experience and with her background I felt very comfortable leaving our little ones in her care. Charlotte provided multiple daily updates and photos. Our girls had a wonderful time! We will definitely be using her again in the future!”

Prices are estimates per day. Pricing may vary based on your search. A booking fee of 11% and taxes will apply.

About: Hi there! I’m a caring and reliable dog sitter who truly enjoys getting to know each dog’s unique personality. I have experience with all kinds of dogs, including those who are shy or anxious, and I always take a calm, patient approach so they can feel safe and comfortable at their own pace. With anxious dogs especially, I focus on creating a gentle, low-pressure environment by slow introductions, calm energy, and routines that help build trust over time. I pay close attention to body language and adjust to whatever each dog needs in the moment, whether that’s space, reassurance, or a quiet walk. I also make sure to follow all care instructions closely and keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pup is doing. My goal is to be someone you and your dog feel completely comfortable with, like a trusted friend who shows up and cares every time. All dogs need to be current on their vaccinations (including bordatella) and flea/tick preventative. Please provide a screenshot of their most recent shots through the Rover app. I currently do NOT take more than 1 pup at a time unless the client requesting themselves has 2 pups that need taking care of! PLEASE NOTE: If you plan on booking for extended stay, our price is $40 a night for 5 days. I'm currently not employed so your pet will be attended to at all day! Any accommodation you need for them, I can surely provide at any time. I have a fenced yard and currently no other pets in the house, meaning your pet will have 100% of our time and attention so they don't feel out of place!
“⸻ Pedro had an amazing day with Yeny and Ray! He got plenty of playtime with his new furry friends, Charlie and Leo. When we got home, Pedro was happily tired and ready for bed. About: I have always had a dog for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and I love them. We currently have two dogs. I have a male Golden doodle named Bo and a female Teddy Bear named Annie. I like to walk the dogs for two 30 minute walks a day. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I have a 7 year old, 10 year old, 13 year old and 16 year old at home. Everyone loves dogs. We have a routine with the dogs and they are part of the family. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I am a firm believer that dogs need to be walked. I walk my dogs for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon on a walking path behind my house. I keep jingle bells on my door and my dogs ring them to go outside to potty. I have options to separate dogs if necessary. Dogs are separated at feeding time.
About: Growing up surrounded by the wagging tails of dogs and the gentle purrs of cats, my love for animals has been a lifelong passion. With over six years of experience as a Veterinary Technician, I bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to the care of your beloved pets. My background ensures that I am well-equipped to handle any situation with calm and confidence. In addition to my professional experience, I have been an active volunteer and foster for a local dog rescue organization for the past five years. During this time, I have fostered over 70 rescue dogs, providing them with the love, care, and stability they need to thrive and find their forever homes. My extensive experience with both dogs and cats, combined with my veterinary skills and dedication to rescue work, ensures that your pets will receive the highest level of care and attention. Whether it's daily walks, playtime, or medical needs, I am committed to making your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you are away. As someone who works from home, pet care is seamlessly integrated into my daily routine. My flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent and attentive care to each pet throughout the day. Here’s a glimpse of how pet care fits into my daily life: Morning Routine: Early Walks: I start the day with early morning walks or playtime in the yard, ensuring that pets get their first burst of energy out and start their day on a positive note. Feeding Time: After exercise, it’s breakfast time. I follow each pet’s specific dietary needs and ensure they have fresh water. Midday Routine: Interactive Play: Mid-morning, I take breaks from work to engage in interactive play sessions or training exercises, stimulating both their minds and bodies. Potty Breaks: Regular potty breaks are scheduled to keep pets comfortable and maintain a routine. Afternoon Routine: Exercise & Walks: Another round of exercise or a walk in the afternoon keeps pets active and happy. For those staying at my home, this might include a visit to a local park or a playdate with other friendly pets. Quiet Time: Pets also enjoy some quiet time while I focus on work, with cozy spaces available for napping and relaxation. Evening Routine: Dinner Time: As the workday winds down, it’s time for their evening meal. I maintain their feeding schedules and monitor their intake. Evening Walks & Play: We finish the day with another walk or play session, ensuring they are tired and content for the night. Nightly Routine: Before bed, I provide another potty break and some final cuddles or quiet time to help them settle in for a restful night. Weekend Routine: Extra Attention: Weekends often include extra activities like longer walks, visits to pet-friendly places, or more extended play sessions to make the most of the extra time. Working from home allows me to be present and responsive to the needs of each pet, ensuring they receive the care, attention, and love they deserve throughout the day. This routine provides a balanced blend of work and pet care, creating a harmonious and happy environment for everyone. About: Hey! I’m Kaitlynn, I have 7 years of experience with animals. I was on rover a few years ago for 5-6 years and took a break after I had kids. I have worked with a travel vet for 2 years (before kids) and dog grooming! My love for animals hasn’t changed, I’m recently new to Rover again because I love working with animals and would love to start to get out there again. I give updates often and will have plenty of photos to share with you! My dogs are super friendly to all animals as they lived on a farm before. I’m hoping to help families while providing for mine:) Pet care fits naturally into my daily life because I own my own business and work for myself, which gives me the flexibility to prioritize animals throughout the day. I can easily build my schedule around feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins without rushing or being tied to a strict 9–5 job. Caring for pets blends perfectly with my active, hands-on lifestyle, and I genuinely enjoy having animals as part of my routine while I manage my business responsibilities. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I provide a calm, clean, and safe environment where they can relax and feel comfortable. I make sure they get plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, playtime, and any feeding or medication schedules are followed closely. I also have two friendly dogs of my own who are very social and do well with other animals, which can be great for pets that enjoy companionship. In a client’s home, I follow their routine exactly to help pets feel secure in their familiar environment. I respect their space, keep everything clean and consistent, and make sure pets receive the same level of care, love, and attention they would get from their owner.
“My husband and I were in the area visiting and wanted to spend the day in DC. Stephanie and her family watched our two dogs for the day. She sent us lots of pictures and updates during the day! When we are back in the area we will use her again!”

“I was so happy to find this sitter! We just adopted a rescue dog. He has a lot of anxiety. He needs special care while he is adjusting to his new home. Because of his anxiety he needs a low stimulation environment. She has been so good working with my dogs special needs! I can’t say enough good about her!! We are so grateful for the care she has given our dog!!”

“Christie was AWESOME! She sent videos of my Dallas frolicking happily in her spacious backyard which put my mind at ease that he was having a wonderful time in her care! She is very loving, and attentive dog lover and I’ll definitely be calling on her again in the near future!”

“Jessica was amazing! She walked my two dogs, a high strung chihuahua and elderly dog (14 y.o.), for 30min for 4 days. She reached out and asked if I wanted her to meet the dogs before walking them which was great. The chihuahua tends to bark his head off at strangers, and I wasn't sure how he'd react (he ended up running away from her the first day for 15min, sorry Jessica). The older dog had diarrhea throughout the house one day, and cleaning up after something like that isn't really what I consider her job. I told her she didn't need to worry about it, and I'd deal with it when I got back. However, she ended up cleaning up as much as she could anyways (that's going to be a big tip). Besides my dogs being a huge pain. She always responded quickly and sent a lot of pictures from the walks.”

“Bethany was fantastic! My dog has a rare auto immune disease and she took in all of the information and kept him safe each time she walked him. Ryder can’t wait to see her again!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for 10 years, whether mine or those belonging to family. I have trained puppies as well as taken care of my dogs that have reached their golden years, and helped them over the rainbow bridge. My top two priorities are communication and safety. Any need you have regarding your pet is of utmost importance because pets aren’t just animals - they’re family! I have two dogs at home, one is 1 1/2 years old and the other is nearly 4. We walk 3 times daily, as well as plenty of enrichment time inside. Enrichment depends on the day, it can be playing with toys, eating treats from snuffle mats, lick mats, or just running around with them until they’re as tired as I am! Safety is my biggest priority. I follow instructions very carefully, I keep a close eye on your fur babies both in the house and outside. I can send real time updates that way you know exactly what is going on at all times, and I will always make sure to ask questions when needed. I can recreate your pets routine as closely as possible, and I will always bring positive energy!
“Came on time to meet us and our dog. Arrived on time even on a very hot day to walk, feed and play with our dog. My son (in a wheelchair so he can't walk him) was here and said she treated our dog so well the whole time and really seemed to enjoy him. She is just what we want for someone caring for our dog. We feel very comfortable having her come while we have to be away for a day!! I highly recommend her.”

About: I have been a pet owner for a majority of my life from cats, dogs, rodents, horses, and birds; they are a big part of my life and very dear to me. I have worked and lived with cats and kittens of different personalities, puppies, senior, and special needs dogs. Additionally, I have skills in dog training and teaching. Currently, I work part-time so I have a lot of time to be able to provide for caring for a client’s pet during the week as well! Animals know their routines well and are good at communicating their wants and needs. I find it very easy to figure out when they are wanting/needing to go outside, expend some extra energy, or just want to relax in a quiet environment.
“I truly appreciate the excellent service I received. She was very attentive and made me feel like she genuinely cared about my dog. I especially appreciate her accepting my request last minute and still providing such great service. I will definitely be using her again and highly recommend her to my friends.”

“Paige was great! 5 star experience all around from scheduling (she was flexible and responsive) to seeing how kind she was with our new puppy. She even took a picture of him that is by far the best photo we have so far. Thanks again!”

“Brianna was great! We did a meet and greet beforehand, and I could immediately tell she was someone I could trust with my dogs. She was very attentive, followed all my instructions, and kept me updated throughout the week with messages and pictures. Communication was easy the whole time, and it gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing the pups were in good hands while I was at work. I’d definitely book with her again in the future.”

About: Hi, I’m Katie! Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I bring years of hands on experience with dogs, cats, horses and even smaller pets like rabbits and turtles. I specialize in creating a calm and comforting environment, whether I’m working with energetic puppies or gentle senior pets who need a little extra TLC. I’m confident handling leash training, giving medication, and reading pet behavior to ensure they always feel safe and cared for. I treat every animal like family, because at the end of the day.. they are! I am currently only working part time nearby to my home so I am ready and available as soon as I’m off work. I have one dog of my own that i prioritize, so I don’t find it difficult doing the same for others. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, safety and trust are my top priorities. I maintain a clean, pet-friendly space that’s free of hazards and full of cozy spots to rest and play. I follow your routine closely, from feeding times to favorite walks, and I keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know your pet is happy and well cared for. I approach each visit with mindfulness and respect. because your pet deserves nothing less.
About: We provide care in our home and treat your babies like our own. We walk them multiple times a day, love on them, take them on field trips when possible, we spoil them rotten. We can help with crate training, potty training, house Manners etc. We have experience with Senior dogs ( most recent passed this December 2024 at 15 years old). I have had diabetic pets so am willing to administer meds as required. I have volunteered with a local rescue for 4 years now and have fostered for that long as well and have experience dealing with many difficult behaviors like resource guarding, counter surfing and more. Here at Bark n Kuddles we are a husband and Wife team so our dogs are very rarely alone. I teach high school so during the school day my husband takes the pups on walks, and outings and provides play time and snuggle time. When I am home we share the responsibilities and our kids are trained so they love on your babies too but they know boundaries and are very good at being mini pack leaders. The only time your pet would be alone is if we had to go somewhere as a family where dogs could not come but we have two pups of our own to keep them company but again that is rare that someone is not home. We only take one or two clients at a time as we have a small home but we take the dogs out on walks (Distance depends on the dogs need but could be 2 to 3 miles easily) and I have access to a big fenced in yard that my family owns should dogs need off leash time and play time (under our watch at all times of course). We do crate dogs when home alone for their safety and to protect the house but they get yummy kongs with frozen treats and other treats as long as owner is ok with it. We love on them how the pups want to be loved on. If they want to lay next to us we let them. If they prefer to just chill off to the side that's all good too. We also follow all owners instructions whether in our home or yours and give your baby the attention they need to keep them happy and safe while you are gone.
“Stephanie is a life-saver. She handled a dog with a sick stomach with grace, professionalism, clear communication and humor. I cannot be more grateful for her work and her care!”

About: Animals have always been a part of my life even before I was born. Have had mostly cats, but have a strong love and connection to all animals. I work at a local restaurant in the evening but I can be flexible sometimes. I'm also looking for a way give back to the community and work with animals at the same time. My cats and I are like a pride. They're very social with me and visitors. And when I eat the often eat when we do as well to discourage begging. I have friends with service dogs and animals, so I familiar with different needs for different animals and different species.

About: I’ve always had pets my whole life of all different kinds. I’m patient and playful with animals. I have cared for mostly seniors and puppies. I currently sit a senior Boxer with arthritis so I have experience with administering meds and providing comfort. I’m working with only one family with three dogs right now, so my availability is pretty open! I also do well with a lot of pets, as I live on a small homestead. I do best in a client’s home as I believe it makes the pet the most comfortable. I also have too many animals in my personal home to feel comfortable allowing my animals to interact with other pets. My pig isn’t the biggest fan of dogs these days. I prefer a backyard when possible so I have space to play with your buddy, but I also love a long walk. Whatever is most convenient and comfortable, I can work with just about anything.
“Great adjustment to my having to work late. Her flexibility was critical to my success at work, and being able to tell them “yes” immediately, thanks to her support. Grab her before she is booked up.”

“Sonja and Phil were very kind and welcoming. They did a great job making her feel at home and getting settled in. Sammi recently had spinal surgery, so they also ensured she was safe during her stay. Thank you so much for caring for my girl and also your rapid reasons to any inquires/messages.”

She kept me up-to-date with pics of him of their daily activities, relayed funny stories, and was thorough in asking questions and catering to his lifestyle and well being. Leaving Eli with Heather left me with peace of mine and I would recommend her to anyone!”
