After that, I volunteered at our local SPCA, providing dogs that were waiting for adoption walks and socialization. Later, I became a foster parent for a Working-Dog training school. My dog Khaleesi is a high anxiety dog and does not do well with strangers and typically hides from them. Samantha had her during the day for 3 days, and from day 1 Khaleesi took right to her. It did take some warming up time, but Samantha kept me very updated and sent pictures throughout the day. By the end of the 3 days, Khaleesi was walking into Samantha’s house without hesitation and didn’t even turn around to look at me. Samantha is incredible and I highly recommend her!!!!”

About: I used to have another rover account and dog watching was my full time job for about 3 years. I quit for a little bit but now I am a stay at home mom and have a 4 1/2 year old golden who loves everyone and just wants some friends to play with. I personally own 3 dogs and several cats all at various ages. One of my cats is disabled- and I've owned and worked with dogs and cats that have special needs (seziures, CH, deaf, blind), take daily medications, and possess specific breed traits/personalities that can't make them difficult to manage. Currently work remote and have a large amount of flexibility in between travel for work. I can prov8de limited boarding in home- dogs must be able to coexhist with cats, be able to be crated and/or left in a single room unattended, and be respectful of baby gates. I do have a separate space for cats that is easier to manage. Current cats in the home do free roams but there is an entire space devoted to the dogs in the home. Can crate and rotate as needed and care for up to 2 dogs if everyone can get along. In your home I prefer to stick to as close of a routine that you provide them with- from their potty breaks to morning and evening walks. Staying as consistent as possible can help provide a relaxing trip for you and your pet.

About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours SUNDAY thru WEDNESDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. I carefully monitor eating habits, energy levels, and overall health while dogs are in my care, and I keep owners updated with photos and detailed communication. Whether your dog loves to play, explore, or simply relax, my goal is to provide a safe, calm environment where they can feel comfortable and secure. My schedule allows me to give dogs plenty of individual attention throughout the day. I plan my routine around exercise, structured play, rest periods, potty breaks, and enrichment rather than leaving dogs unattended for long stretches. I strive to maintain each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable while you’re away. Safety is always my highest priority. Every new dog is introduced gradually based on temperament and comfort level. I have experience using crates appropriately for rest, meals, and decompression when needed, and I carefully supervise all interactions between dogs. If your dog prefers quiet one-on-one attention, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. I believe every dog is an individual. I take time to observe behavior, communication, and comfort level so I can provide care that fits each dog’s personality rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

About: Growing up, I’ve always had a strong love for animals. Free of charge, I would cat sit for my neighbors while they went on vacation, walk my friends dogs in my spare time, and additionally scroll for hours on end through sites that had dogs for adoption. When I turned 13 years old my parents finally gave in. I’ve now had my dog (Riley) for almost 8 years. We’ve gone through nearly 8 birthdays, 7 gotcha days, countless training sessions, and an endless amount of love. She fills my heart all while simultaneously filling my camera roll. To me, she’s worth the extra phone storage payment😅 I’m currently 3rd-year college student studying biology on the premedical track. Before and after my classes begin, I’ll have plenty of free time to care for your pup. Each walk, I will be equipped with various supplies ranging from poo bags and paw wipes to fetching toys and water bowls. For home visits, I’ll ensure that your dog receives ample love and attention. I’ll do my best avoid any deviation from their normal routine!
