“With a senior dog, we do get nervous about leaving mango new places. I would say within five minutes of the meet and greet it was clear that Shanilka and her husband would be taking great care of him. They asked all the right questions and during our stay sent regular updates to make sure we knew he was in good hands. Would definitely use again!”

“Andy graciously boarded my dog Marble during the holidays. He was always prompt with communication, attentive, detailed, and sent pictures every day, so I knew my dog was well taken care of. Marble came back happy (with a washed blanket courtesy of Andy!) and I could not have been more grateful. Would board with Andy again in a heartbeat!”

“Christine was so fantastic. She boarded my baby girl for a week. Christine was very flexible and consistently sent me updates and photos of Dolly. Dolly also takes daily medication, and I truly appreciate the extra effort from Christine. Dolly clearly had a lovely time. I'm so happy she got a chance to hang out with other dogs and be at Christine's welcoming and wonderful home!”

“Evan and his wife stepped in at the very last minute to take care of Kobi for the weekend - and not only did they agree, but they were so enthusiastic it felt like I was doing them a favor and not the other way around! Communication was great with check ins during the day and drop off/pick up went smoothly. So grateful to have found them!”

“Erin watched Kiwi and Belsh for a couple of days and they had a great time! Erin was super communicative, sending pictures and updates, and was flexible with timing on pick up and drop off. We would use her again in the future!”

“We’re so grateful for the care our sitter gave our two pups during their stay. What began as a few days of boarding turned into a longer stay because of an unexpected medical emergency, and she was incredibly kind, flexible, and accommodating the entire time. Knowing our dogs were safe, cared for, and in good hands brought us real peace of mind during a very stressful situation. We truly appreciate her compassion and would absolutely trust her again.”

“Laurie and Richard were amazing with my older little pup with anxiety. She loved her stay with them and they catered to her needs so well. The communication and updates were wonderful!”

“This was my first time using the Rover app & im so glad that I did. I recently relocated to DC from TX & was very anxious about leaving Benji with someone knew but Erika made me feel more comfortable by keeping me updated with pics & videos. I think because she has a dog it made Benji more comfortable seeing another dog there. He looked so happy when I picked him up I would highly recommend you all to book with Erika she’s amazing!!!!”

“So grateful for Kerstyn to take our Charlie last minute. Our dog got along great with hers! I feel bad my she took such good care of her on walks and lots of snuggles. Will use again!”

“Matthew took great care of our dog! He regularly sent pictures and our pup came home exhausted from all the yard/park play. Will definitely book again with him next time we go away.”

“Jason & Becky were wonderful with Juneau. They were very responsive, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout her stay. It’s clear they are experienced dog owners who treated her with kindness and great care. I received frequent updates with photos and videos, along with helpful information about her behavior and daily routine, which gave me great peace of mind. Thank you both so much—Juneau is definitely looking forward to coming back!”

“Leah was fantastic! We have a sweet, old Boston Terrier who is a bit set in her ways. Leah was kind and patient with her. This was Pims first time staying with a Rover sitter. We would definitely use Leah again. We were thrilled. Thank you, Leah!”

“Jorge and Alejandra were amazing sitters! They sent us some wonderful pictures of our dog and were great at communicating. Very flexible and accommodating when our travel plans changed. Would highly recommend!”

“Molly and Gary were amazing! I really appreciated that they did a meet and greet before accepting my request to ensure our dogs got along. They were super responsive throughout the entire process, and provided lots of updates and photos/videos. They also took our pup on tons of walks and adventures. Really a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be using them again!”

“Our experience with Chad was wonderful. This was our puppy’s first ever boarding experience…I as a pet owner was concerned cause she does get separation anxiety. Chad handled it so well. We got regular picture/videos and I knew that she was in an environment where she was being properly cared for. We would definitely return.”

“Bridges watched my dog for a week and did a wonderful job. She met me and my dog beforehand which helped make me feel more at ease, and she provided frequent updates on how he was doing during the stay. She took him on a lot of walks, and he had a wonderful time with her. I would happily have my dog stay with Bridgid again!”
“Ellie took wonderful care of my little Bella. I had such peace of mind knowing that my geriatric dog was being pampered and loved every second that I was away, with lots of photos to prove it. She even made homemade snacks for Bella in line with her preferred diet!”

“I highly recommend Jessica for house-sitting. She took excellent care of my three cats and updated me with pictures and videos, which helped me relax during my trip. I was confident that my kitties were in good hands.”

“Lily is so professional and treats my cat, Tally, with such care and also looks out for me too by reading my handwritten instructions. She also gives me a super thoughtful report on how she is doing when I’m on work travel and I feel totally at ease with Lily taking tremendous care of my fur baby! I highly recommend Lily for your pet care needs!”

“Amber has been great each time she has cared for Nugget. She’s patient with Nugget’s mini attitude and has even been able to pet her which is rare for someone to do when I’m away. I appreciate the bond she’s established and how she keeps in contact with me. Amber will even do extra tasks like clean the litter area even though I forgot to ask that when we first established the details of care. Amber is and will continue to be my first call when I need someone to care for my fur baby.”

“Aimee was amazing! I’d never been away from my cat and was very anxious and worried initially. She sent me great updates and pictures that made all of that worry go away! Highly recommend ❤️”

About: Hi there! I grew up loving dogs, in fact, my older sibling was our family German Shepard! She made sure I was safe, and I made sure she was well loved! All furry friends are welcome! Whatever you and your pet need, I am here to help. Currently, I am focused only on dog sitting. Your fur baby is more than welcome to hang out with me on the couch or on the bed! Let my love of pets help you feel secure in your fur baby's safety and well-being.
“Very happy with Andre, he was laid back and approachable in our communications, and happy to wear a mask when I asked (important to me). Our cat is super skittish, so he never saw her, but made sure to feed her and even tried to give her some of her other food when it seemed she hadn’t eaten much of the first. Thoughtful and cares about animals for sure!”

I’m experienced with: • Senior cats and kittens • anxious cats • Overnight pet care and drop-ins I’m active, reliable, calm under pressure, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I understand that not every cat wants to greet people. I’m always mindful of giving pets the space, structure, and calm environment they need to feel comfortable and safe. Whether your cat needs playtime, cuddles, consistency, or just someone dependable while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’ll be available in Arlington, VA, this summer and in San Diego this fall, and I have reliable transportation. My goal is simple: make your cat feel safe, loved, and happy, and make you feel completely comfortable while you’re away. Can’t wait to meet your furry family members!

“Aislyn was great! She updated us regularly and sent us pictures to let us know how our boys were doing. It is clear that she is an animal lover and both of our boys were well cared for while we were away.”

About: I have fifteen years of pet sitting and care experience, to include drop-ins, walks, feedings, litter box cleaning and overnight stays. When I was little, I wanted to be a veterinarian, and then a zoologist. Neither career panned out, but my love for animals remained. Now I get my fill of furry friends by providing excellent, worry-free care for your pets! As a proud mom of three urban hens, I know how nerve-wracking it is to be away from a beloved pet. That’s why I provide frequent updates and pictures to my clients so that they can go about their workdays or trips without anxiety. I specialize in cats, dogs and birds. I can’t wait to meet your pet! I am currently freelancing part-time, which provides me with an extremely flexible schedule to care for your pets! From walks to drop-ins to overnight stays, I can provide a variety of services to DMV pet owners When in your home whether for a drop-by or overnight stay, I am committed to making your pet feel as comfortable and happy as possible in the absence of their person/people. I follow my clients’ instructions and specifics of their pets’ routines, and follow them closely. I also provide lots of love and cuddles (or love from afar for pets that don’t like to be touched!)

“Sai stayed in our home and cat-sat our attention-addicted cat for 12 days. During this time, he gave our girl a lot of love, made sure she had all her needs met, and was responsive to any messages we sent him. Sai is trustworthy and professional. We would absolutely ask him to cat-sit for us again!”

“I messaged Karsyn last minute when my other sitter fell through, and she was eager to help! She was very patient and accommodating when there were issues getting into my home. Lots of pictures of my cat happy and playing! I would recommend her help to anyone!”

“I contacted Ella at the last moment last week and although we did not have the chance to meet, Ella came through 5 stars in helping out with our demanding hounds. I left several texts and Ella took that input and made a good experience for the girls. So we repeated the exercise a week later, and again Ella helped us out with minimal input. Ella is thoughtful and mature, and apparently is VERY comfortable around dogs, and I'll certainly ask her for help in the future.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, from energetic younger dogs to elderly dogs who need extra patience and attention. I have cared for my own dog, which has taught me how important it is to be responsible, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I have also helped care for my neighbors’ dogs, including both senior dogs and younger dogs, by making sure they are fed, walked, comfortable, and given plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has its own personality and routine, and I always do my best to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the rest of the week I am usually at home working or studying remotely. This gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I am also especially available on weekends, which is a great option for pet parents who need to board their dog at my apartment. I live in a pet-friendly one-bedroom apartment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I make sure to follow each pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also give pets plenty of attention, love, and a calm environment so they feel at home. My apartment is in a great area with plenty of parks and trails nearby, making it easy to take dogs on walks, get fresh air, and enjoy outdoor time. I always prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness while they are staying with me.

About: I know how important it is to find someone who will treat your pup like family while you're away. I work from home full-time, so your dog will always have company and lots of cuddles throughout the day. - I only host one client at a time, so you dont have to worry about unfamiliar dogs during their stay. -Whether your dog loves playtime, long walks, cuddles on the couch, or a slower-paced routine, I’m happy to match their needs. -I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. I also have experience with dogs with separation anxiety and food or environmental allergies. 📷 You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is happy and well cared for. **I live in an apartment building, so I can't safely accommodate large dogs that are reactive to people or other dogs, since it's not possible to completely avoid encounters in shared spaces.** I can accommodate regular walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and check-ins, and I’m able to adjust my routine to meet your dog’s needs. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my priority. I follow all care instructions, use leashes on walks, and provide a calm, secure environment with regular updates.

About: I’ve had dogs and taken care of them since I was a child. I’ve owned an Airedale terrier, a pug, a Russian terrier, and my family currently has a Japanese spitz. I’ve got all sorts of experience - I have adopted a doggie from a shelter before, and I’ve also raised my two pups from 3 months old until they passed a few months ago at ages 14 and 16. I’ve boarded dogs - I looked after a friend’s pug for a week, a family friend’s elderly golden retriever, and fostered a stray my sister and I rescued before someone adopted her. I’ve taken road trips with multiple pets, and flown across the country with 3 of my dogs, I’ve taken them to all sorts of vet appointments, and been with them through all stages of their lives. I’m on this platform looking for company to heal from losing my furry friends, because being around dogs brings me peace and joy. I am a performing artist and I travel a lot for concerts, so having my own pet is unfortunately not feasible at the moment, hence I decided that taking care of someone else’s furry babies while I’m home between performances is the second best thing:) You can rest assured that I’ll take great pleasure in taking care of them and having them in my home. I work from home during the day and I am home from evening until morning, too. I do however step out for errands and appointments. Your dog will be with me most of the time while staying in my home, walked 2-3 times and fed on schedule, but should be comfortable being on its own for 2-3 hours max, if I have things to do. If your doggie has severe separation anxiety and is unable to be alone at all, I can accommodate that with enough notice and for 2x my normal nightly rate. I’ve always let my dogs run free around the house and make a safe space for them where they liked, but I did crate my rescue doggie when he first arrived to slowly acclimate him to the new place. Whatever you prefer for your dog is fine by me and I’m happy to accommodate. I don’t have a yard, but I have plenty of green areas nearby where I’d walk your furry pal. I keep my dogs on leash at all times. I like training them and playing with them to give them some mental stimulation, but if they prefer to chill and not be bothered I’m cool with that as well
About: I have grown up with dogs and cats in my house my whole life. I also have 3 years of professional experience dog and cat sitting, I love all animals and enjoy taking care of them. I am a graduate student at Marymount University. My weekends are usually free and my class schedule is light and somewhat online so I’m very flexible with walks and check-ins. I am well experienced with all kinds of dogs and can handle almost all situations. I can walk, feed, play, and crate your dog if need be.

“Our whole family loves Amanda. From the first day she came to meet our 2 pups, they immediately took to her. She’s incredibly warm and knowledgeable about taking care of dogs with different needs, as well as reliable and great with communicating. We’re very, very lucky to have her taking care of our fur babies”

“Amber was very accommodating and understanding! She did a great job caring for my new puppy and sent pictures and gave great updates! Would definitely recommend her to anyone!!”

“Our dog Winnie loves going on walks with Aislyn! Aislyn is happy to let her wander and sniff to her heart’s delight, which really helps tire her out in time for some lazy afternoon naps.”

“Sarah was great with my senior pup and her love for animals is clear. I appreciated that she was available for a meet and greet and booking on short notice. Would gladly have her care for Finn again!”

“Anne has been amazing! Patient and flexible with my anxious, nervous, sensitive, and opinionated dog, Pumpkin. She's been key in helping to desensitize him to our surrounding area while we work through environmental anxiety issues. Anne has also been incredibly communicative, and we're so lucky to have found her 💖”

“Hannah was great getting Logan moving in the middle of the day while I was at work. She's super responsive and was a huge help to me in my first week back in the office.”

“Genevieve is amazing with our dog Louis!! She is super friendly, responsive, and always on time, and she provides helpful details in her reports on every walk. Our dog is BEYOND excited to see her every time she comes to pick him up, which is always the best sign. We highly recommend Genevieve to anyone looking for a dog walker in the area.”

“I was impressed with Daniel right from the start! He is a very humble, respectful, responsible, kind young man who loves animals. My dog Sophie immediately took to him and she would have great walks with him. I asked a lot from Daniel when I went on holiday…and he delivered! He came to my home for 10 days to not only walk my dog but also feed her…give her medicine, and as a bonus, he played with her. Socializing w Sophie went a long way because she was alone most of the time. He would always be on time and, when another dog walker canceled, he quickly covered that shift. No questions or higher charge. He sent a lot of photos too. Since I’ve been back from my holiday, I’ve been in poor health. I texted Daniel and he is now my dog walker on days when I’m unable to take Sophie out myself. Again, punctual & always thinking about what’s best for my dog…. For example, He remembers to dry Sophie’s paws when they arrive from a walk in the snow or rain. I highly recommend Daniel as your dog walker or sitter.”

She met me and my dog beforehand which helped make me feel more at ease, and she provided frequent updates on how he was doing during the stay. She took him on a lot of walks, and he had a wonderful time with her. I would happily have my dog stay with Bridgid again!”
