We have a large single-family home with lots of space to relax. They’re welcome on the couch and even in the bed for snuggles at night if that’s what they’re used to. My boys love giving extra attention, playtime, and belly rubs — always guided by what your dog is comfortable with. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I work from home full time. “Taking on a totally unknown dog from a cross-country road trip, IS a risk. We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. Linda really seems to love the dogs, she had 1-2 fosters there when we arrived (not sure, as I think I only saw 1). While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend.
