About: I’ve been taking care of Cats/Dogs since I was little, I’m exceptional at taking care of them when they are sick. Keeping up with good behavior habits/ following dietary guidelines, positive reinforcement. Morning: - 7:00 am: Wake up and let the pets out for a bathroom break. - 7:15 am: Provide fresh water and feed them breakfast. - 7:30 am: Groom and brush your pets, if necessary. - 8:00 am: Spend time playing with them or taking them for a walk. Mid-morning: - 10:00 am: Check and clean their living areas, including litter boxes, bedding, and cages. - 10:30 am: Allow for some free playtime and bonding with your pets. When I moved out on my own, I ended up with pets of my own & then starting doing it as a side gig to help out friends & family as I had the flexibility. I started doing this professionally a few years back & then stopped due to getting my dream career. Since then, I maintain that job but have the flexibility I wish to have meaning I can adapt to your schedule & needs. I have vast experience from puppies & kittens to elderly animals of many kinds, including those medically complex. I care for every animal as if they were my own. Not sure how to change it but I do have a dog, cat & teens of my own but they won’t be involved when caring for your pet unless wanted. Thank you. I make my own schedule & am able to adjust & prioritize my bookings as needed. If I am not available, it will be updated but I am very flexible. In my apartment I have a larger fenced area as well as access to parks etc close by. I have a crate available if necessary but do not require it. I have one dog currently & do have cats who are fine around dogs & will be in a entirely separate area in the home during in home bookings, so not an issue. I have two teens & a career in funeral service but I can adjust my days in advance easily.

About: As a life-long pet owner, lover, and caretaker, I am well-equipped to take in your furry friends and passionate about giving them a warm, safe place to stay (and play). I’ve had pets since I was a child — some of my fondest memories involve wet kisses and long, sniff-filled walks around the neighborhood. In addition to providing my family pets with basic care and love, I’ve watched and cared for dogs in my community since I was a tween. Neighbors enlisted my help to walk, feed, and check in on their pets while away, and I happily obliged any time I could. I’ve also cared for my own pup (a Golden Retriever) since I was 18, allowing me to adapt and grow with my dog over many years, homes, and chapters of life. Additionally, I lived with an experienced dog trainer for nearly five years, learning about dog behavior, care, training, and safety. Long story long, I am but a person who loves animals, is passionate about pet care and wellness, and wants to keep your pets safe and sound while away from their human families :) I currently work from home as a freelance content creator and musician. Most of my time spent away from home is flexible and lasts (at most) 5 hours (with a few exceptions). I enjoy spending time with dogs, and try to be home as often as possible when watching pets to ensure they are comfortable and safe. I have a large, fenced yard with plenty of room to explore, sniff, and play! I have one 11 year old dog — a sweet, social, pet-friendly Golden Retriever — to keep your pup company. His name is Simba, he loves to say hi and will engage if your pup initiates, but is also very content to keep to himself and takes cues and warnings well. Simba is a free roaming dog and I am happy to keep your pup out and about while I'm home and able to supervise. I also live with a cat who keeps to herself and stays confined to a dog-free room. She will not interact with your pets during their stay. For your pup's safety and mine, I prefer they are crate trained. That way, I can ensure they are safe and comfortable while I'm out. I also utilize kennels as a quiet space for dogs to decompress and recharge separate from outside distractions. However, they will be offered plenty of time outside of their crates, both indoors and outdoors. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds in my house. However, I can enforce any off-furniture rules to maintain their routine while away from home.

Since I set my own hours, I can easily accommodate pet care, always making time for dog walks, cat brushing, and any other needs. My adaptable routine ensures consistent and attentive care for all pets. I’ve had experience both welcoming pets into my home and house-sitting for others. I’m based in Taos, where there’s a fenced yard and access to great hikes nearby. If I stay at your home, you can expect it to be well-cared for, left clean, and I can also manage tasks like plant care as needed. NOTE for boarding: I do have a cat. Any visiting dogs must be cat-friendly and respect cat boundaries.
