“We were so impressed with how well Dominique handled Cricket. Cricket is a rescue that came from the home in Ogden with 159 dogs. She is extremely attached to us and is very timid around new people. I have no idea how Dominque did it, but she was able to hold cricket the second we dropped her off. She knows way more about dogs than us and I assume, most dog owners. Cricket had a fully fenced in yard to play in, got to socialize with other dogs, and got the gentle but effective care that she needed. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you Dominique.”
“Grecia was amazing and clearly had much experience with dog behavior. My girl is a bit overreactive with strangers and Grecia immediately assessed this and knew how to handle the situation effectively calming my dog and building up her initial trust. I explained that she also has some reactivity issues with new dogs until she warms up to them which she noted and apparently worked on because she was able to get my dog to walk along with hers. I even noticed that my Mei Mei was not going crazy when confronted with a pair of loose dogs at the park on my first walk back with her. Lastly, she was able to take this booking last minute as I had unplanned lengthy work hours for a couple of days and so that in of it self was so much help. I very much appreciate her ability to work with me and the awesome experience she gave. Thank you!”

About: I have had dogs all my life, since I was 12 I have been part of the training of my dogs and their puppies. Most of the dogs I've had have been Dobermans, so education was essential. As an owner of puppies and large adult dogs, I don't have any fear or difficulty dealing with large breed dogs. About: As a life-long pet owner, lover, and caretaker, I am well-equipped to take in your furry friends and passionate about giving them a warm, safe place to stay (and play). I’ve had pets since I was a child — some of my fondest memories involve wet kisses and long, sniff-filled walks around the neighborhood. In addition to providing my family pets with basic care and love, I’ve watched and cared for dogs in my community since I was a tween. Neighbors enlisted my help to walk, feed, and check in on their pets while away, and I happily obliged any time I could. I’ve also cared for my own pup (a Golden Retriever) since I was 18, allowing me to adapt and grow with my dog over many years, homes, and chapters of life. Additionally, I lived with an experienced dog trainer for nearly five years, learning about dog behavior, care, training, and safety. During this time, I interacted (at home and in training classes) with dozens of breeds each with unique temperaments. I’ve lived with multiple dogs at once, and have experience with reactive pups who need more space and patience than others. Long story long, I am but a person who loves animals, is passionate about pet care and wellness, and wants to keep your pets safe and sound while away from their human families :) I currently work from home as a freelance content creator and musician. Most of my time spent away from home is flexible and lasts (at most) 5 hours (with a few exceptions). I enjoy spending time with dogs, and try to be home as often as possible when watching pets to ensure they are comfortable and safe. I have a large, fenced yard with plenty of room to explore, sniff, and play! I have one 11 year old dog — a sweet, social, pet-friendly Golden Retriever — to keep your pup company. His name is Simba, he loves to say hi and will engage if your pup initiates, but is also very content to keep to himself and takes cues and warnings well. Simba is a free roaming dog and I am happy to keep your pup out and about while I'm home and able to supervise. I also live with a cat who keeps to herself and stays confined to a dog-free room. She will not interact with your pets during their stay. For your pup's safety and mine, I prefer they are crate trained. That way, I can ensure they are safe and comfortable while I'm out. I also utilize kennels as a quiet space for dogs to decompress and recharge separate from outside distractions. However, they will be offered plenty of time outside of their crates, both indoors and outdoors. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds in my house. However, I can enforce any off-furniture rules to maintain their routine while away from home.

I specialize in longer walks and overnight stays, often around a two hour hike that includes pickup and drop offs, MWF, T/TH packages as well as singular hikes.. I typically take the dogs out for a morning potty walk, followed by breakfast, a rest break to let the stomach settle and then a long walk or playtime at a park or a field! Rest after that then a potty walk before dinner and then a bed time potty walk before snuggling up in bed! I am currently only staying overnight at client's home but will watch them at my place when I have a permanent residence. I use dog harnesses and leashes to restrain pets during transportation and for walks. If they are good off-leash, I'll do that as long as it's not too crowded on the trails. Also, plenty of balls, Frisbees, etc. for playing. I like to give them marrow bones for an afternoon treat if it's allowed :)

I have one dog currently & do have cats who are fine around dogs & will be in a entirely separate area in the home during in home bookings, so not an issue. I have two teens & a career in funeral service but I can adjust my days in advance easily.
