About: Welcome to Wiggly Butt Retreat, where dogs are spoiled, snuggled, and adored. I provide calm, home-based dog boarding and daycare designed to feel less like traditional boarding and more like staying with someone your dog already knows and loves. I am generally home throughout the day, so my guests get plenty of attention, affection, playtime, outdoor breaks, and, of course, naps and cuddles. I intentionally keep things small and personal. I mostly care for one dog/household at a time. If I do take more than one, it's always discussed with owners and I'm very selective about the dogs I accept together. I consider personality, temperament, size, energy level, age, and individual needs because I want every dog in my home to feel safe and comfortable. This is not a crowded kennel or large daycare environment. It is my home, and every dog who stays here becomes part of it for a little while. Dogs have been a huge part of my life for almost 30 years. I've raised and trained my own dogs, spent about 15 years fostering and helping rehabilitate abused and neglected dogs, volunteered as a dog specialist in high-stress shelter environments, and completed animal behavior and handling training through Best Friends Animal Society and Salt Lake County Animal Services. That experience has taught me that dogs aren't one-size-fits-all. Some want to play all day. Some would happily spend the afternoon curled up next to me. Some need a little extra patience before they decide I'm trustworthy. And some need more structure, space, or reassurance to feel comfortable. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's personality and figuring out what makes them happiest. Most importantly, I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. My goal is for you to leave knowing they're safe, loved, understood, and probably being spoiled a little more than they'll admit when you get home. Welcome to Wiggly Butt Retreat. Cozy home, calm vibes, happy tails. I am generally home throughout the day, and I keep our daily routine flexible based on the needs of the pups staying with me. Energetic and ready to go? There will be plenty of walks, outdoor time, play, and opportunities to burn off that energy. More of a couch potato? Laid-back days, cozy naps, and couch snuggles are some of my favorite pastimes! Because I intentionally keep the number of dogs in my care exclusive/small, I'm able to get to know each pup's personality and make sure they get the right balance of activity, attention, play, and downtime. Not every dog wants to do the same thing, and that's perfectly okay. Pups are rarely left alone while staying with me. If I do need to step out, it's typically for a short period of time, usually no more than an hour or two. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority. There are no pets or children in the home, which helps create a quieter, lower-stress environment for dogs who prefer a little more peace and consistency. My family are all dog people, so pups are always surrounded by people who genuinely love and enjoy them. We have a fenced patio/run where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, stretch their legs, and take easy potty breaks throughout the day. I also have a secure lead setup in the front yard where dogs who enjoy the outdoors can safely relax, sunbathe on the outdoor bed, sniff around, and enjoy some fresh air while supervised. We’re also surrounded by some of Daybreak’s best dog-friendly parks, walking trails, and green space, including areas near the lake, which means lots of safe, leashed walks, fresh air, sniffing, and enrichment. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I require a meet & greet for all new clients to make sure we are a great fit before booking.

About: I had the privilege of raising my tabby cat from birth until she passed away at 16 years old. Caring for her throughout every stage of life gave me experience with kitten care, daily feeding and litter box maintenance, playtime, grooming, administering medications when needed, and providing the extra patience and comfort that senior cats require. I helped to birth the puppies, feed and wash them, weigh them and track their progress, train and care for them. Since I was 18 I've adopted six dogs. One of them was deaf and blind when I adopted her. I've never been the first home for any of my doggos but I've been the best/most loving final home for all of them. I work part time and have plenty of time to spend with animals. I usually take my dog out for a stretch/potty every couple of hours and we walk at least once a day. I'm constantly looking for new parks and fun places to play. I have a three year old Border Collie mix that gets along well with other dogs and cats. The yard is fenced but there's no doggy door. I have some crates of various sizes if needed. The fur babies are allowed on the bed and all of the furniture at my house. I frequently pet/house sit for a Pitbull mix and she's one of my dogs besties. She has medication and a special diet. I've also frequently had my dad's dogs visit. So my dog is used to both having separate food and sharing in a communal pack. Whenever we pet/house sit we follow their house rules (i.e. - no dogs on the furniture or in the kitchen, etc). I'm trusted with keys to multiple homes and never stop by unless asked to.

In my client’s home, I make sure to follow their routines closely, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), exercise, playtime, and any special instructions they provide. I always prioritize safety by keeping a close eye on pets, making sure doors and gates are secure, and being aware of their individual personalities and needs. I believe communication is important, so I provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away.
About: I've taken care of so many kinds of animals over the years. I was a small animal veterinary technician for 15 years and a horse vet tech for a few of those as well. I loved helping any animal but I was especially happy when they were sick and we could help them get better! I loved working for a Doctor that was passionate about this. I have personally had horses, cows, goats, chickens, dogs, cats and a few birds. I love cats and horses mostly. But I own many different kinds including horses, goats, dogs and cats. I'm currently working from home and I have my dog inside with me all day. She can go in and out as much as she wants to. I have a fenced yard and one friendly dog currently. I can crate your dogs if needed in my home or give them their own space.
About: I have owned dogs (and other pets) for pretty much all of my life. I also volunteer at the local shelter and so I have interacted with all breeds/types of dogs. I am happy to accommodate for any unique needs that your pet has, and will offer a fun and loving environment that will give you peace of mind while you are away. I recently graduated from PA school and am in the process of finding my long-term job. While I wait I have a lot of availability for pet sitting! I care for every pet as if they were my own while following their owner’s instructions and routine. About: I’ve taken care of different types of animals, dogs, cats, horses, bird I love interacting with my animals throughout the day I have about five years of experience with animals. I have two German Shepherds, a Border Collie mix, a Pug, a Frenchie, three cats, a horse, and I have had two birds. Unfortunately I am not able to have any furry friends in my house at the moment because we’re a full house here! About: I own a 7 y/o Shih Tzu/Yorkie, a 3 y/o Shih Tzu, and a 12y/o mini poodle! My family has owned dogs from 8 lbs to 130 lbs! We love all furry friends and accept them as they are, whether they drool, jump, or talk! My dream breed to own is a giant breed (Irish Wolfhound!) but regardless of breed, they’re special to me! I love taking dogs to places they can run around and really enjoy time outside! I have worked as a Medical Assistant, in dog boarding, and as a professional dog groomer! I believe in “Positive Reinforcement” and Fear Free training training methods and like to keep up to date on current training methods for personal use! I am also more than happy to help with bath time or reinforcing anything you’re working on with them! I love reading about Canine Enrichment activities and I love watching them figure it out. I am passionate about dogs and would love to meet yours! Dog time is my self care time so I love filling my time with dog interaction, walks, and puppy snuggles! I have a grooming salon in my home, and generally am around :) I was exhausted as a little dog owner with every boarding environment being targeted for big dog enjoyment! My environment is meant for the little dogs, and they know it! I keep beds with blankets in every nook and cranny for every type of snuggler. They have access to furniture, and have every variety of space to settle they need! There are a couple open kennels (always open) that my dog don’t care to go near for those who like their den.
