“Our pups had a wonderful stay with Darlene! She took the time to really talk to us about our pups, their needs, feed times, and even potty schedule. She was friendly, and very communicative. She sent several pictures showing them out on their walks. We would gladly use her again! There is nothing like peace of mind when it comes to the care of your fur babies. Thank you!”

About: Hello, I’m Sam! I offer pet care in the Kanab area of Utah! I’ve been petsitting and dog walking on and off for about 17 years and have experience with all sorts of animals. I’ve also been working in Dogtown at Best Friends for about a year and a half now. I have four herdy dogs of my own plus three cats and two horses- a full house. But there’s always room for a guest or two. I’m a big believer in doing what the animal likes best- whether that be hanging out sunbathing, watching tv on the couch, playing with toys, going for a walk or training for some treats. I’m familiar with all breeds, temperaments, sizes and energy levels. I can also give meds if needed and most other special requests. Traveling with your pets? As long as they're friendly, I don’t require a meet and greet! For boarding and daycare guests: I have a spare, cozy guest room set up for dog guests they can stay in, plus access to the rest of my house while I'm around. They will likely only interact with one of my dogs, but will have to be ok with cats. They will only see children if the kids are out in the yard. My yard is technically fenced in, but 3 of my dogs don’t follow the rules, so I’ll probably keep guests on a leash. I’m a dog care specialist at Best Friends so I am pretty busy up there, but can stop in before or after work, as well as on my lunch break if needed! My days off are Tuesday and Wednesday, so I’m available anytime during those days and can even take your pup(s) out for a longer hike! Weather dependent, of course. I care for your pets like they’re my own! I like to keep things fun, do what they like to do, and give them a positive experience.
“Liz was absolutely wonderful! We had a last minute trip to Zion and really wanted to hike the narrows but be respectful of hotel rules re leaving dogs in the room. However, we recently had someone bring an aggressive dog to our home, which has or may have altered how our big male views other dogs. Not wanting to chance it, Liz agreed to meet us the day before and, of course, everything was fine. The dogs were happy, we were able hike the Narrows without worrying. She sent pictures and was just super. Great communication! She is also conveniently located in town and has a separate room and fenced yard where our pups could be kept if they didn’t get along well. **this was also our first time using Rover. Will use it again!”

“Kylie is an excellent sitter! She was very thorough in wanting to meet Kali first to make sure they got along. She answered all our questions and had minimal requests of us (hydrogen peroxide available in case of an emergency). She sent me photos of my pup and spent an adequate amount of time with her on her visits. We would recommend Kylie to our friends and family!”

“samantha is everything you hope a dog sitter is and more! extremely thorough, thoughtful, and sends you the cutest pics of your pets to let you know they’re safe and healthy with her. my two pups adore her and you weill too 🤍🤍🤍”

“Danica was terrific! Very trustworthy and reliable - we had her pick up our pup Kennedy for a walk while we were out at Zion. From the pictures, I could tell Kennedy had a great time on her walk. Would recommend Danica to anybody in the Kanab area looking for a reliable person to care for your pet while you go on not-so-dog-friendly adventures!”
“Catey did a great job taking care of our cat while we were overseas. She accepted the booking on a very short notice, was super-responsive, and took lots of photos during each visit. We'd happily book Catey again!”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Kanab

“Archer had a great day at Darlene and Steve’s place. He did not want to leave when we came to pick him up. Darlene took 20+ pics and Archer seemed to have lots of fun he met chickens and emus along with other animals on the property. He went on a walk and got his evening medication with his food. Overall I would let Darlene/Steve watch Archer again.”

“My husband & I needed doggy daycare for Tula so we could do a hike at Zion & Liz provided the perfect solution! She met us outside with her sweet pup so they could immediately get acquainted & become friends. She sent texts & photos throughout the day assuring us that Tula was having the best time! I would use her again.”

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Kanab
About: I have experience caring for large and small animals. I have worked with senior, special needs, reactive, aggressive, and shy animals. Previously, I have fostered puppies and kittens. I can administer meds orally or subcutaneously. Every animal is an individual and I care for them as such. I am currently working various labor contracts so my schedule is flexible. I am available for multiple visits throughout the day or just dropping by for walks. I can do a variety of tasks during a drop in visit, whether it's feeding, letting a dog out to potty or administering medication. My experience allows me to handle dogs of all sizes and energy levels.

“Bo is an excellent dog walker and sitter...we were here visiting and he came to our Airbnb for a meet n greet the night before and I instantly knew he was the right person that I could rely on and his ease with the dogs is awesome. I highly recommend Bo he walked our boy twice and took lot's of pics. If I'm back in town he's definitely our guy to call.”

“I was able to book Catey last minute for a walk when I needed to go out of town - she was very responsive, kind and easy to work with! She made my pup feel so loved and happy and I’m appreciate of her extra effort to make our little fur ball comfortable!!”

“Lori was great with Brodie and provided detail about his mood and health. She was timely and flexible to our schedule. This was our first experience with Rover and Lori - It was great!”

About: I began volunteering at a local humane society during my senior year of college, igniting a passion for helping animals in need. While job hunting after graduation, I started offering pet sitting services through Rover.com and volunteering at the Aiken ASPCA learning the basics of animal behavior and training. In January 2018, I began my internship, which transitioned into an apprenticeship, at Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary which is where I developed a strong foundation in animal husbandry and enrichment. To supplement my income, I continued pet sitting in my off time. Once my time with the primates came to an end, I got a job working as a caregiver for Best Friends Animal Society in Atlanta. This is where I learned advanced animal behavior, handling, and training. Once again I earned extra money through pet sitting. I also regularly volunteered as a husbandry aide for Zoo Atlanta’s contact yard learning all about goats and sheep. I transferred to Best Friends Animal Society’s Dogtown during the height of the pandemic, and I began building a client base for pet sitting in Kanab. After parting ways with Best Friends in 2021, I remained in Kanab, continuing to provide pet sitting services while working at a local gas station. I joined Lumber Plus in 2022, honing my customer service skills and deepening my connection with the local community. I established myself as one of Kanab’s trusted pet sitters, known for my reliability and love for animals. In July 2024, I took a significant step forward by founding SabiSara Pets, a venture that combines my passion for animal care with my entrepreneurial spirit. I work part time at a local hardware store wed-sat so have less availability on those days. They are flexible with allowing me to take longer lunches when needed. I have high standards for animal care and what I consider “bare minimum”. My job is to make sure your animals have access to clean fresh water, have access to food according to their schedule, and are in a safe, secure, and sanitary environment because I take it seriously that I am responsible for their mental and physical well-being.

“Darlene was wonderful! She was on top of communication with us, flexible and very professional. Our family was able to visit Bryce Canyon with no worries of how our dog was doing! Thanks Darlene!”
