We booked Tia for our recent vacation and it was so easy. We got texts all the time from Tia with pictures of our dogs. It seems like we were replaced so easily. They loved her! When the time came to pick up our dogs, she was great with communicating with us so that we could work out a good time to pick up the dogs. When we went to pick our dogs up at her house, they didn’t even come to greet us. They just stayed sleeping in her bed. It was THAT comfortable. We had to go get them. About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs ever since I was 11 years old. I continue to take care of my friends and parents animals when needed. I personally have 2 cats and 2 dogs. “We just moved in the area 6 months ago. This is the first time we used Rover and the first time my fur babies will be staying in a different house. You can just imagine how nervous I am and also for my fur babies. We did a meet and greet before deciding to book. My husband and I were very pleased with the way they introduce our dogs with their own dogs. We are also very happy to meet everyone that will/might interact with my dogs. About: First, let me say I am a mom of a 5 year old, who has been with me to all my dog training sessions since he was 2 months old. He does not attend all house sitting’s anymore, but may still come with to a few. Meet & greets are always required. Now, I have experience in Positive Dog Training as a dog trainer. I teach basic obedience, advanced obedience and do puppy training. My handling is loving with no negative reinforcement involved. Sitting will be fun and interactive in addition I can even teach them a few tricks to show off to their Pet Parents. Drop-ins are always fun and I love giving each pet love, attention and play time that I provide to my own pets when I stop by. Dog walks are not only beneficial to the dog but to me as well, I enjoy the exercise so when they are happy I am too. Each experience I have with dogs or any animal I believe is a learning one that I am always happy to be apart of. I'm a Dog Trainer, so I schedule in advance for my services so that I know my calendar. If I'm busy at a certain time I make sure there is ample time between clients so that everyone gets the quality they deserve. “My Bailey's home away from home!! Ok so a little background- my dog Bailey is a rescue who was physically abused by her previous owner. For this reason, she is utterly terrified of new people because she has a natural distrust for people following early life events. Kristen and her family originally spent time coming to my house to walk Bailey and spend time with her, and Bailey had been doing well with the new dog walkers! However, after learning about Bailey's concerns, Kristen thought it may improve Bailey's situation to have her spend the day at doggy daycare, and let me tell you, she and her family have done an amazing job taking care of Bailey!!! I've never seen her so happy every day when I come to pick her up (and probably even more happy to be dropped off :P). It's only been a few weeks and I can already tell Kristen and her family are making her feel at home away from home, and carefully allowing her to interact with other dogs and humans when Bailey is ready. I've been absolutely overjoyed seeing her improvement in socialization skills, and, really, just how happy and comfortable she is; makes my day! On a side note, following several meetings with a Behavioralist, I'm actively training her to help improve her anxiety and fear toward people. Kristen understands how important this is and has been ensuring Bailey is trained (in the same way I'm training her for continuity sake) while at doggy daycare, since I don't have the opportunity to train her several times throughout the day during the work week. About: I worked as a kennel tech for a dog trainer for 2 years and have been volunteering with a dog rescue that saves abused and neglected dogs for the past 6 years. These experiences, as well as raising my own dogs, have given me the knowledge to work with most dogs, but my passion is working with fearful, anxious, and reactive dogs. Working on their time to gain their trust is my specialty and passion. I have experience working through basic obedience, counter conditioning, confidence building, muzzle training, gear shyness, and cooperative care. I also have experience working with dogs that require more intensive care due to feeding routines (such as making homemade food or strict feeding schedules with medications) and grooming maintenance (frequent or routine baths due to coat type or skin conditions). Know that under my care, your pup will be with someone who understands them as an individual and can meet them where they are at. I'm currently attending college online, so I'm almost always available during the week, except when I'm taking care of my own dogs. On weekends, I do market events, so I might not have as much availability throughout the day. Your dog's comfort as well as yours are my top priorities, so I do require a meet and greet before any service I provide. This allows me to meet your pet and see their behavior before a service, and lets you see how your pet feels around me. About: I've had dogs my entire life, I currently have 3 and they're the best things that have happened to me! I have some experience training my own dogs too, i also have experience dealing with senior pups who need lots of medication and monitoring. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds!
