About: While I have an affinity for all animals, cats hold a special place in my heart. Growing up I took care of the neighborhood strays, eventually turning a few into my indoor children. I now care for two cats of my own who deal with separate medical needs. I have experience with administering oral medications (liquid and solid) and aftercare from surgery. My experience working as a Kennel Technician has also allowed me more hands on experience with kittens and elderly cats. I understand how unique cats can be and their routines needing to stay on schedule. Your dog will never be just another guest, they’ll be treated like family. First, I try to know more about your dog , normal schedule, favorite toys, commands, what they fear and what they like. Building trust is going to be essential so my focus would be to create a bond with your pet. Consistency, patience, and love is what’s going to get us there. She noticed early on that one of my dogs had blood in her pee, took her to the ER over a holiday weekend (after checking in with us), and waited hours in the parking lot late into the night so my dog didn’t have to stay the night there by herself. I’m blown away by her care and kindness in what was a very stressful emergency being away from home. She also kept my dog up to date on her antibiotics until we came home. In addition to this, she sends multiple thoughtful updates and images throughout the stay. It’s hard to trust someone with your dog for the first time and she did so much more than I could’ve asked. “Deanna was very communicative and great with Bandit. I know he’s happier staying with someone who is able to be home with him most of the day so this was a perfect fit. Her apartment has grass and shaded areas so I wasn’t worried about his outside time. I easily found shaded parking for my drop off and pick up too. I highly recommend and will be booking again.”
