I’m currently home for nursing school for the summer and am looking to get a part-time gig while still having time for online classes and studying. “Alexa and her partner were absolute lifesavers! They really know how to work with/handle dogs and I would trust them to watch my crazy heelers again. I drove from Houston, anticipating driving back Sunday morning but things went south with a realtor and I found myself scrambling to reschedule tours to Sunday afternoon. My two anxious, always-by-my-side cattle dogs (y’all cattle dog people know what I mean) didn’t have a safe place to stay while I was looking at places, though. I very last minute requested a few hours of daycare and Alexa saved the day! The next challenging part is that my dogs are rarely away from me so they act a fool whenever they’re left alone in a new environment. Her boyfriend was so patient and understanding while I was dropping off my dogs. They’re trying to act tough, alligator rolling, just being an embarrassment and he calmly worked with them to get them inside. When a picked them up a few hours later, he was able to handle them like he’d known them all their lives. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone who needs dog sitting.”

About: I’ve grown up with several dogs throughout my life of different breeds and sizes. I love being around dogs and would be happy to meet yours. Currently I work part-time but I’m always available in the afternoon/evenings and some mornings as well. I’d be happy to discuss scheduling and I’m sure we can work something out. Whenever I care for pets in other people’s homes I like to do a quick look around to make sure there isn’t anything dangerous in the pet’s reach, see that they eat and have water available to them and sit with them for a while/take them on a walk depending on the pet.

I love the outdoors as well so if it is nice out, that’s where you will find us! I learn the schedules from the parents, I incorporate the same schedule or close to it. In my home, I focus on creating a comfortable, welcoming, and loving environment where pets can relax and feel at home. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels and will always treat every pet with patience, kindness, and care—as if they were part of my own family. ❤️
About: I take care of your pets like they're my own! I know that leaving your pet is hard on both you and them, so I do my best to make the distance easier for both of you in whatever way I can. I've been taking care of animals for about 17 years on and off but, in the last year I have been doing in-home pet sitting full time through TrustedHousesitters. Overall though, I hope to be able to step in and give your pet the love and attention they need while you're away! My daily schedule is very flexible and generally revolves around the animals I'm watching. I always do my best to keep them on their regular schedule so it's a smooth transition from pet parent to me and back. I am more than happy to go by any rules or routines you may have for your animal or your in-home guests. I understand that I am in your space when I am sitting and want to respect that to the best of my ability.
