I am often worrisome when I leave my Chuckie when I go on vacation but from beginning to end, Lilivette has made the process so very smoothe. She met with me ahead of time with her dog to ensure they met and were friendly. She was very communicative about her picking up Chuckie from daycare and gave constant updates which relieved a lot of my anxiety. But I want to mainly mention that she was beyond accommodating for when I had to pick up Chuckie. She understood that I was traveling and was going to be tired the next day and she was so considerate about picking him up later in the evening so I can decompress from my long trip back home. Again, I cannot express how grateful I am for Lilivette and her family for allowing Chuckie to stay and feel so welcomed!! Our fenced backyard makes it easy to get outside throughout the day, while the air-conditioned house gives everyone a comfortable place to play and relax, especially during the Texas heat. I keep my boarding numbers intentionally small, no more than three guest dogs at a time, so I can actually spend time with each one rather than trying to manage a house full of dogs. Whether your pup wants to play with Rosie, follow me around while I work, curl up on the sofa, or take a nap in their own bed, they'll have plenty of company and attention. I take your dog's safety seriously, but I also want them to feel like they're staying in a home, and not being put somewhere and simply watched. I limit boarding to three guest dogs at a time, which gives me the ability to keep an eye on everyone and pay attention to each dog's individual needs. Our backyard is surrounded by an 8-foot wooden fence and has a large tree that keeps most of the yard shaded, giving the dogs a secure place for supervised outdoor time and potty breaks. With the Texas heat, I don't believe dogs need to spend hours outside to have a good time. Most of their play and exercise can happen comfortably inside our air-conditioned home, with regular trips outside when the weather allows. Rosie, our 10-year-old Chiweenie/Corgi mix, is part of the household and absolutely loves having new friends around. She's happy to play with younger dogs, larger dogs, or dogs with plenty of energy, which makes her a great companion for our guests. Because the dogs will be sharing our home, I do look for dogs who are comfortable around other dogs; I don't want a guest spending their vacation separated from everyone else or stuck in a crate simply because they can't safely interact with the other dogs. I also like to keep things as familiar as possible for each dog. You're welcome to bring their own bed, crate, blanket, toys, food, or anything else that helps them settle in. Puppies are welcome, including those who are still working on house training, and puppy pads are perfectly fine for smaller dogs who aren't quite ready to rely on the backyard. If your dog has special needs or a particular routine, I'm happy to discuss what they require ahead of time and determine whether I can provide the right care. And while you're away, I don't want you wondering what your dog is up to. I send daily pictures and updates so you can see how they're settling in, playing, relaxing, and getting along with their new friends. At the end of the day, I want you to have the same feeling I'd want if I were leaving Rosie with someone: that she's safe, happy, comfortable, and genuinely being cared for.

About: I’va had dogs all my life and still take care of my 15 year old chihuahua! Been reading books on dog behavior, and enrichment to be more effective and the dogs I take care of. I unfortunately cannot offer, day care or boarding as my own red heeler is reactive to other dogs. I am free the whole summer! I am a teacher and wanted to find something to occupy my time. I thought dog sitting would be best, seeing as I love animals. I have two dogs, who have a yard, and are crate trained. One of my dogs has a history of seizures and my other has a hip issue. My sister dogs I care for has there own health issues that comes with medication and food schedule. My friends dog has allergies and his own medication that I have helped with. Know that in my care there schedule will stay the same in my care and all medications will be given.

Roam freely, one specific room, outside, whatever! I do not have any pets of my own and love all animals! I can fit any care into my schedule with proper notice. I have a flexible work schedules although I work in office. Visits or boarding both work! Pets are able to be crated in my house or back building or roam freely. With the heat i’ll keep them inside majority of the day. Large backyard for potty breaks and I spend most of my evenings outside on the patio so it will be easy to have your pet enjoy the freedom!

However, when taking care of your pets at your home, I will do whatever makes you & the fur baby comfy rather it’s leaving them roaming the house or kennel trained.

About: Hi, my name is Angela! I am naturally active and have grown up in a household that has had life long fur babies in my family for as long as I could remember. I’ve become very hands on when it comes to four legged best friends. I’ve also had a few years of assisting at a doggy daycare and boarding (BHV), so very comfortable with instructions on special diets or medications to be given. My experience does include dogs and cats. I am happy to help and assist you with your fur baby! I am pretty much available in the evenings, but do typically have a day off Monday - Friday. About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs since I was in High School ( 15+ years experience). My family owned 2 dogs and I would care for my neighbors animals when they were away. In college, I fostered kittens and later became a cat momma to my sweet Sonoma. I also used to volunteer at the local animal hospital/shelter when I was living abroad for 3 years helping with the outdoor playtime and feeding schedule. I’m currently in a WFH role which allows me the flexibility to care for animals throughout the week. I am open most weekends as well. I have experience working with puppies and kittens under 1 year. I always establish an environment of trust and go at the pace your fur baby is comfortable with. patience and calmness is key to gaining a mutual respect for one another!
