“I had a good experience in boarding my 2 Rottweilers ages 9 and 11 months to Luis. My female pup is on her development age where she acts skittish and growls when approach by people she does not know. Because of this behavior and having a big pup, I requested a meet and greet to see if Luis can handle my dog. On the meet up, as expected my female pup acted nervous and growled to Luis but Luis was so patient and gentle to took away her fear and slowly earned her trust. During my dogs 3 night stay, Luis took care of my pups like as his own pet. My pups really had vacation of their own, enjoying to Luis’ beautiful dog resort while my family are out of town. Luis has perfect place for dogs where they can have fun for a lifetime.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets my whole life. Currently have a dog and two cats that I love to bits. I always find time to be out playing with my dog and keeping cats company when it comes to the night hours. I’m currently not working but I do have the transportation to get around for check ins on pets. I have free time on my hands at the moment so my schedule is really open to going in the morning, going in the afternoon, and going in the evening times before bedtime. I do not offer boarding in my own home, so being in the client's home I would be sure to introduce myself to the dogs, be outside while dogs are playing, and always attentive as to where an animal is within the house or backyard.

I have volunteered with the SPCA and have been around teacup Chihuahuas to big and active dogs such as Shepherds, Great Danes, and high energy Greyhounds and Catahoulas. I have owned and taken care of several big dogs most of my life to include: a Shepherd, Black Labs, a couple Dachshunds and a full-blooded Catahoula; so I understand the rigours of the exercise that they need. “I left Zorro at their house for a day. It was a last minute request so I was a bit antsy. As soon as I arrived at Claudette's I was assured Zorro would be at home and well cared for. The back yard was huge. Two other little dogs were there for Zorro to interact with. It was clear he was going to be fine. They touched base throughout the day and when I asked for an update, they sent one -- a cute photo of Zorro on Patrick's lap! When I picked him up he was happy, not desperate to see me. A sure sign that he had had a low key, easy visit. My only issue I had was with Rover. I tried to get the video chat to work numerous times and the call would not go through. Perhaps leave more specific instructions as to how to make that work.”
About: I grew up in rural Costa Rica, surrounded by all kinds of animals—cats, dogs, chickens, pigs, cows, and even birds. It was the best childhood ever and really showed me how special animals are and how much they add to our lives. Now I live in Granbury, TX, and I’m still all about pets. “Rochelle was absolutely amazing! She was willing to take Ivy in even though Ivy is completely blind and we requested our stay less than 24 hours in advance. She sent pictures and videos and I did not have to worry about Ivy being in her care. She has the perfect puppy palace set up in her home and Ivy absolutely loved it. Rochelle makes me wish I lived in the area so Ivy could hang out with her while I work, but unfortunately we were just passing through. About: Growing up in a rural area I have had experience with most animals, from dogs to exotics, and love them all. I have a Bachelors in Animal Science from TAMU and worked for the Vet School during my undergrad. My experience includes 2 years working in specialized boarding for fearful, reactive, and sensitive dogs, 7 months of shelter canine behavioral modification, and a solid foundation in positive reinforcement dog training. When with me, your pet will enjoy enrichment through fun puzzles and/or basic training games. I hold my Fear Free Certified Professional Trainer certification and my IAABC-ADT accreditation (International Association of Animal Behavior Consulting - Accredited Dog Trainer).
