About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and truly love having their playful, loving energy in my home. I have a friendly 2-year-old pup, Renni, who has never met a dog she didn’t become best friends with, so every visiting pup has a built-in playmate. I work a hybrid schedule and work from home on Mondays and Fridays, allowing me to provide plenty of supervision, attention, potty breaks, walks, and even trips to the dog park right outside my door. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, I work from the office during the day, so please keep that in mind if your pet requires constant daytime care. In addition to weekends, I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, making the span of Friday to Monday perfect for dogs who enjoy extra companionship, frequent potty breaks, walks, and plenty of playtime. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, I work from the office during the day, so pets staying with me should be comfortable spending a few hours on their own before I return home for walks, playtime, and cuddles. About: I spent more than a decade loving a very large, very opinionated German Shepherd named Ruta through epilepsy, severe allergies, endless medication schedules, and his senior years, so “high-maintenance” pets don’t scare me. I tend to love them even harder. These days I’m supervised by Edwin, my mini Aussie rescue, who has strong opinions about other dogs, delivery trucks, and apparently several completely innocent squirrels. Living with him has made me very comfortable with boundaries, reactivity, slow introductions, and the fact that not every dog wants to be everybody’s friend. I’m also the person who genuinely wants the six-paragraph document explaining exactly how your dog likes breakfast. Give me the quirks, the routines, the medications, the weird little rules, the favorite toy, the thing they absolutely will not do unless you ask them in a very specific way. I want to know all of it. Basically: I take your pet seriously without taking myself too seriously. And yes, I will probably send you too many pictures. My schedule is pretty flexible, which means I can usually work around your pet’s normal routine. Walks, meals, potty breaks, meds, couch hangs; tell me what they’re used to and I’ll do my best to keep things consistent. Tell me everything. What’s their routine? What makes them nervous? Are they an escape artist? A sock eater? Do they lose their mind when a skateboard goes by? How are they on leash? I’m big on respecting a pet’s boundaries and keeping their routine as familiar as possible. I’d much rather know about a quirk or trigger ahead of time than be surprised by it later.
About: I've had dogs my entire life, 3 decades of experience, including raising golden retriever puppies in our household and litters upon litters of kittens. though I would count the last 12 years since I was in college as heavy experience with dogs (and cats) of all kinds. “Having Bourbon board with Giovanna was an absolute delight. They got to meet ahead of time and he took to her immediately. He can be anxious and he takes time getting comfortable with strangers, but within 20 minutes they were already bonding. She was very responsive and communicative throughout this experience. She sent the right amount of updates, so I was able to enjoy my time away without any worries. After 5 days with her, he barely wanted to come back home with me! I would highly recommend Giovanna as a boarder if you are looking for a safe and loving environment for your pups.”
