“I really appreciated all of Lilia's dedication and attention to my Penelope. I was very nervous as this was the first time that I left Penelope with a Rover sitter, however Lila did great in calming my nerves. She sent me many pictures of Penelope throughout my trip, provided other updates and was able to adjust when I needed to extend the stay an extra day. About: I've had dogs of all sizes my whole life. We cared for a senior dog who lived to 17, and now have a 9 year old dachshund and 4 yr old small dog mix. I am a full-time at-home dog mom, with lots of time to walk and play with pups. There is a park a block or two away from our home that we walk our pup to just about every day (when it's not too hot for him). I am a nurse and have a lot of experience caring for people, but animals are a special treat to care for. I am home full-time, with only occasional trips out. About: Aside from my childhood large mutt and family cats, I cared for my dear Shih Tzu into her elder years, until she passed last winter. I think about and miss her everyday. Im familiar with senior care and the years when food needs to be frozen flat on a lick mat and play consisted mostly of sniffing and sitting. I’m excellent at coming up with stimulating activities and forms of play beyond fetch, but also am a hobbyist speed walker (easier on the knees than jogging!) and I NEED to get my 10k steps in every day. I’m a graduate student at UT Austin, taking the summer to focus on my thesis, which means I’m at home reading and researching and my schedule is my own. I always appreciate when a pet’s routine can jump start my day and am able to adapt to needs as they arise. Unfortunately my apartment is on the second floor so any boarders would either need to be able to climb or be small enough to be carried. My complex has a semi-fenced area and there’s a dog park not too far away. A smoke-free house, all cleaning supplies are kept in closed upper cabinets and trash cans all have lids or are raised.

In the beginning I was pretty nervous since I didn't know how Lass would do with someone else walking her and having a new person in my apartment while I was gone. Heather was great because she offered to do a meet and great before out 1st scheduled walk to make Lass and myself feel comfortable. I'm so grateful for this meet up! Lass loves Heather and their walks. Between the super cute photos I get and the love that my dog receives, I couldn't ask for a better walker!”
About: Ever since I was a kid I have always felt like I have been in tune with animals. I always had 2 dogs and a cat or 2 cats and a dog growing up. As an adult I have volunteered at Animal sanctuaries and shelters. I donate to these institutions regularly. I don’t ever remember (nor do I ever want to), have a a time in my life where I don’t have a fur baby! They enrich your life so much! I have rescued ALL my fur babies! They are my kids! My world! I just rescued a 10 month old kitten who is more like a dog than a cat, IMO. So, If I become your sitter, I will treat your pets as if they were my own!
About: Since I was a child I have taken care of 2-3 dogs in one home and multiple cats with my family. All different types of dogs, fostering and rescuing animals when we could. Love to maintain healthy and clean animals so that they can live their best lives and feel loved! I am currently a fire fighter and looking for a side job. I am off for few days out of the week and want to be active and be around animals. I am currently taking care of my cats indoor to protect them from this heat. Often getting fresh water and have family dogs that like to go outside but stay cool so I often have little dog pools set up! I am okay with taking them outside or keeping them inside for some safe fun!
