About: I have been a pet owner my entire life and have always had dogs or cats in my home. My wife and I currently have a dog who we adopted from a shelter. My wife is a certified Dog Trainer and is also employed by the local Humane Society, so we are both involved in the care of animals and absolutely love it! I mention this only to better emphasize our mutual love for animals. She has her own job and business and will not be assisting me in any way in my endeavor to employ myself as a Dog/Cat sitter/walker/care giver, etc. I am retired, and as such I am available most every day to help anyone in need of services, little to no advance notice necessary. I am retired and run a small book selling business out of my home. My business only takes an hour or so of my time each morning, so I am available almost anytime every day of the week to help care for dogs/cats. I have a senior dog in my home at the moment, a dog that my wife and I adopted from a rescue shelter. She is an inside dog, but we have 10 acres so when she goes out, she has freedom to run around. For clients, I am comfortable with any type of service necessary. I can take care of dogs in the house, take them for walks, feed them, hang out for a bit and play with them, etc. Most any service you need, I can do. I do take care of cats as well, although they do not really need much other than cleaning up, feeding, and some attention.

We share our home with three wonderful dogs (a Pointer, a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, and an Australian Shepherd) all 7 years and older, plus our cat, Potato. Our schedules complement each other really well, which means your pup gets plenty of company, attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and enrichment throughout the day rather than spending long stretches alone. We already structure our days around our own young Lab, so having dogs as part of our daily rhythm comes very naturally to us. On our days off, we love spending time outside, taking walks, exploring local trails, or just having a cozy day at home. No matter what, your pup gets to be part of the family while they’re here. 🐾 Our home is a relaxed, dog-loving environment where we want your pup to feel like part of the family. We live on a quiet cul-de-sac in a safe, very walkable neighborhood with a large yard. While our yard is not currently fenced, dogs are always supervised and leashed outdoors, and I’m very comfortable with leash walking and safely managing dogs outside. We have a young, friendly Lab who loves other dogs and four dog-savvy cats who are accustomed to sharing their home with a pup. Our home is also thoroughly puppy and toddler-proofed, and everyone in our household understands the importance of respecting a dog’s space, body language, boundaries, and individual personality. I’m big on maintaining consistency between your home and ours. If your dog is crate trained or currently learning we’re happy to continue their normal routine. The same goes for potty training, basic commands, feeding schedules, special diets, and any house rules you’re working on. Dogs can be fed separately to ensure everyone eats their own food, and we have an extra crate available or are happy to use your dog’s own crate if that makes them more comfortable. I love providing enrichment beyond simply letting dogs hang out! Depending on your pup, that might include sniff walks, Kongs, lick mats, snuffle mats, sprinkler or kiddie-pool play in the yard, fetch, or supervised creek adventures. With your permission, well-suited pups can also join us for dog-friendly walking trails or an occasional brewery outing. If your dog is happiest staying close to home, we’re just as happy to keep their world quiet and familiar.

I also pay close attention to body language and behavior so I can recognize when a dog is excited, overwhelmed, tired, or simply needs some quiet time. My goal is always to make their stay as positive and stress-free as possible. While your dog is staying with me, I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you never have to wonder how your baby is doing. 🥰 Your dog isn’t just a guest—they’re part of the family while they’re here. I’d be honored to give them a safe, loving home away from home! 🌅 Morning: Potty break, breakfast, medications if needed, and some playtime or a morning walk. ☀️ Midday: Supervised play, enrichment, cuddles, and plenty of downtime/nap time. 🌤️ Afternoon: Another potty break, playtime or a walk, depending on each dog’s energy level and needs. 🌙 Evening: Dinner, potty break, relaxed play or cuddles, and settling in for the night. 🌙 Bedtime: One last potty break before everyone gets cozy for the night. The most important part: I keep the schedule flexible based on each dog’s normal routine, age, energy level, and comfort. Some pups need lots of activity, while others are happiest with a quiet day full of naps and cuddles. I want their stay to feel as close to home as possible. 🐶❤️ Boarding from my home is my primary source of income, which means I’m able to make caring for your pups my priority every day. I’m here to give them plenty of attention, supervision, play, enrichment, and cuddles throughout their stay. When your dog stays with me, they’re not just being boarded—they’re spending their vacation with someone whose whole day revolves around making sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well cared for. 💜🐾 I provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home environment where dogs can receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I have two friendly dogs of my own who can provide companionship for dogs who enjoy playing with others. I provide a variety of dog beds, toys, and enrichment items at my home and each furry friend is welcome to find their new favorite spot to lounge or thing to play with if they choose to. I will always accept items from home for them to feel cozy as well just be aware they will be in a group setting with other pups. I understand that every dog has different needs and comfort levels, so I’m happy to adjust their routine accordingly. Dogs who love to socialize can enjoy supervised playtime, while dogs who prefer their own space can have quiet time and relaxation away from the other pets. I’m also comfortable with crate training and can easily accommodate dogs who are crate-trained or who need a separate space for meals, rest, or decompression. My goal is to make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re in my home. 🐾❤️
About: I have had dogs, cats, birds, and much more animals my entire life. I love taking care of animals and have done it for friends and family for years. I’m very active and love walks and runs! I have 3 animals of my own including 2 dogs and a cat. I have taken care of baby, Senior, adult, healthy, and sick animals. I’m an animal lover and love meeting new people and animals. I have a lot of knowledge with animals for the simple fact that I have been around 100’s my entire life, from saving strays to having pets. I live in Weaverville and would love to help out with taking care of your pet or pets! I work all day but could be flexible. Im a personal trainer, my hours are 4am-2/3pm. I am available with at least a week notice. I can help on M-F and weekends with drop ins and walks. I have a yard as well as 2 friendly playful dogs. I have crates as well as separated floors that are gated off in my home that always help.

Whether your dog loves to run wide-open spaces or just wants to sniff the mountain air and lounge on the porch, they will find their perfect rhythm here. Working primarily from home allows me to provide attentive, full-time care and regular outdoor exercise. I can host overnight (Short or Long term) boarding seamlessly as long as owners provide their dog's personal items and necessary accommodations, allowing your pup to enjoy a safe, country retreat with all the comforts of home. Safety and socialization go hand-in-hand here. My dog Rocco, a friendly Catahoula Leopard Hound, has six years of excellent experience interacting with other dogs and is always eager to welcome new playmates. Playtime in our fully fenced yard is entirely supervised, and I can easily crate your dog for meals or bedtime to ensure a structured, safe stay.
