I grew up with dogs and have spent a lot of time sitting for friends dogs over the years while they're out of town. I have a 1.5 year old Havanese named Bonnie, she weighs about 6 pounds and is a ball of energy! She gets along super well with other dogs, part of the reason I'm becoming a sitter on Rover is to give her some temporary playmates. My home in East Nashville is on a quiet street with a large, fenced in back yard for the dogs to run around in. “Emily took wonderful care of my fur baby, Sugar, while we were visiting Nashville. She has a large fenced yard where the dogs can play, and I appreciated the extra safety measures she took. Emily put Sugar’s collar on in addition to her harness in case she somehow got loose, which showed me she was thinking ahead and treating Sugar like one of her own. Before I left, Emily carefully introduced Sugar to the other dogs and made sure everyone got along and that Sugar was comfortable. That gave me tremendous peace of mind. I felt completely comfortable leaving my girl in her care, and it was obvious Sugar was well loved and well cared for while we were away. About: I have worked with animals for the past 19 years. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in animal science and have worked with many different species from young to old. My work experience ranges from general practice and emergency room veterinarian clinics, an animal shelter to the Knoxville zoo, and 7 years in animal agriculture. My love for all animals runs deep and through my experience I am able to administer medications, perform CPR, and just understand animal behavior all together. I personally have had two dachshunds of my own from young rescues to 17 year old seniors. I currently work remote and have a very flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate any needs of an animal in my care. Daily walks are part of my routine regardless of the weather. I live in a home that has been converted into a duplex tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. I have a balcony allowing for outside access for bird watching or just plain old barking. I have a large backyard but not fenced. Dog beds in every room. Every animal in my care is like family meaning no couch or bed is off limits. I often plan my daily outings to allow for my animals to come with me or spend limited time alone.

“Keegan is exceptionally gifted with animals. She bonded immediately with our Sheltie Dani, whom she walked all summer. In fact he looked for her first thing when he got out of his crate. Having grown up on a ranch, she has a wealth of information about animals. This proved extremely helpful because at just over a year old, Dani is still a puppy. She conscientiously told us anything unusual that he did, e.g. yesterday he surreptitiously ate a small rock, typical puppy behavior. She came back everyday with stories of Dani’s antics (he loves to chase dragon flies!), showing how she lets animals into her heart. Keegan is extraordinary. We hate to see her go back to college in OK. We and Dani look forward to more walks when she comes home from school at the holidays!”

“Tara & Adam (& Ruby!) are great hosts! My dog, Salma, felt so comfortable at their home and loved that they had a fenced in backyard she could roam! Also, I felt very secure knowing that Tara & Adam have tons of experience with hosting dogs and frequently have different dogs at their house! Ruby gets along well with other dogs and seems to love having lots of friends over! :) We will definitely be booking them again! ”
