I worked a couple of years as a big dog camp counselor, but am now retired. I have a secure privacy fence in backyard, and a designated “doggie bedroom” in my house. About: I have had a dog in my life since age 6. I have always had rescue dogs and as many as 8 on a large property. I have lost all 11 now and don't know if I can take the heartbreak again. To provide boarding or daycare options, my 'dog fix' will be fulfilled and serve your needs also. I have never met a dog that didn't like me, all dogs I have met engage with me quickly. I am a RN and have performed CPR on one of my dogs before bringing him back to life. I can give oral meds and have given injections to my dogs in the past. I walk daily and if your dog wants to join me, perfect! I work from home and an empty nester. I am home most afternoons and evenings and will adjust my schedule to be here with your fur kid without large gaps in time. I have a fenced backyard with a doggie door to the backyard if your dog knows how to use one. My neighbor is small with sidewalks for safety. I have a large and medium crate if your dog requires one no need to bring it. They can be on the couch or even sleep in the bed if that is what they are used to. I have a covered patio to protect from the weather elements so your dog can lay outside and enjoy fresh air. Water will be available outside also.

About: I've been dogsitting since I could drive at 16. I have worked at multiple kennels, one specializing in young, high-energy working dogs, and the other specializing in aggressive and fear-reactive dogs with bite histories. I have also dogsat for dogs with bite histories, high-energy breeds, low-energy breeds, dogs with health issues, dogs who have had no training, and dogs who have had lots of training. I will have a part-time internship near Maryville this summer, as well as an online summer class. I will have plenty of time to care for your pets around these activities! I can work half-shifts at my internship (~4 hours) and all I need for my class is Wi-Fi access and somewhere to sit. I am familiar with giving dogs medications, even the reluctant dogs. I am also well-versed in dog body language and behavior, and am comfortable dealing with pets who are fearful. I am not afraid of large dogs! I love the big dogs, and am comfortable with breeds up to and including Great Danes, Mastiffs, Wolfhounds, Newfies, etc. I am used to dog training as well, and am more than willing to maintain any training rules you may have for your dog. My personal dog is a certified therapy dog (she will not be accompanying while dogsitting). I love training, but have no certifications, just dog training kennel experience.

Not just to show up let them out and feed them In my home my pets are completely spoiled. My Aussie is always by my side including sleeping at the foot of my bed. My dog gets daily exercise. I am perfectly fine with treating your pet like my own or setting boundaries if you do not allow your pet on furniture. I also have experience with caring for horses. So I have no problem dealing with large dogs

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for most of my life. I love high energy animals and taking care of them. I grew up with a dog and cat I still have and care for and more recently I have been a volunteer at the Humane Society, I even ended up starting my own club of volunteers in high school. This role has equipped me with all sorts of animal care skills such as cleaning after them, bathing them, feeding them and administering medication, and making sure to provide lots of love and attention.
