About: The son and grandson of veterinarians, I've spent my whole life around animals of all kinds, and I would love the chance to take care of your dog! I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses as pets, and while working for my dad I helped take care of pet boarders at his hospital for many years and assisted him and other vets while providing medical care. I also had a spunky Jack Russell for 17 years (!), and to tell the truth, I created this account mostly for the chance to spend time with some doggy friends because I miss that companionship very much, but I'm also still not ready for another one myself. You will be doing me a favor by letting me hang out with your dog! I obviously have experience with elder dog care, and giving medication, but I also have experience with dogs of all different types and energy levels. I work from home most of the week. I only have to leave the house for work on Tuesday and Thursday. My partner, Sofia, works from home full time, however, and is a pet lover like me, so your dog will never be without companionship, and we can accommodate any pet's needs for walks, bathroom breaks, feeding, and medication. I have a fenced in back yard to let your dog out in for quick bathroom breaks or just to get fresh air, and I live in a great neighborhood for walking. I'm happy to walk your dog as much as you'd like! I'm also close to Unity Park and the Swamp Rabbit trail if your dog needs some more serious play time! Lastly, I have two sweet kitties who are comfortable around dogs in the sense that they will likely ignore your dog, lol. But I don't board cats because they don't like strange kitties.

We are comfortable with basic training and commands and love the old timers who need a little more TLC. We can’t wait to meet your fur babies. The neighborhood is away from main roads and safe. I do have cameras in the home to keep an eye on things if I run errands. I have a fenced in large yard for safety if your furry friend stays here. “Erika was wonderful! We recently moved to the area and needed a pet sitter for our dog and cat. We found Erika on this site and reached out for a meet-and-greet. She was responsive and met us and our pets the next day. We arranged to drop off our dog at her house for 4 nights. We also arranged for her to do a house check-in once during our trip for the cat. Erika's home is well set-up for dogs. She checked-in at least once a day with updates and photos of our dog. She was understanding and accommodating to our dog's discomfort with the other dogs. We bet the next time our dog stays with her she will relax a bit more and play with the other dogs (we hope). Erika's house check-in went smoothly and was just what the cat needed. We plan on using her again for our next pet-free out-of-town travel.”
