About: I’m Emily! A little about me: I love to run, lift, paint, and read. I am currently a student at the University of Pittsburgh studying Speech Pathology and Audiology who’s home for the summer! I've been a pet owner myself for about 5 years now. My family currently has three cats and has had a dog and another cat in the past. Within the last seven years I have dog and cat sat for a lot of my extended family and friends. I'm currently on the hunt for a part-time job for the summer, so I have plenty of time on my hands to look after and care for pets. I also have my own car and am hanging out with friends a lot, so I am always around. I am very diligent with making sure doors and windows are shut and locked to ensure that your pets do not go in or out (if they're indoor pets/ not on a leash) as I have to do that with my own pets! I also realize as it grows hotter, animals become dehydrated and hot as well, and I am careful to make sure water bowls are filled, and there is water during walks as well.

My neighbor has hired me many, many times over the many years we have known each other to take care of her pets, but on my own she has hired me for just about the last 6 years. About: I graduated with a BS in animal science with a companion animal emphasis, obtaining knowledge/experiences through classes, labs, internships, and employment. I worked as a veterinary assistant and kennel tech throughout undergrad seasonally and for several months post-grad at 2 different clinics. I also worked as a wildlife rescue & rehab intern and aquarist intern during undergrad, focusing on animal care and husbandry. I care for pets by keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible, whether in my home or my client’s home. In a client’s home, I follow all provided instructions closely—feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, playtime, and any medications if needed. I also make sure the space stays clean and your cat feels comfortable in their familiar environment. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a calm, safe space with plenty of attention, enrichment, and a clean setup. I always prioritize safety, hygiene, and clear communication, and I send regular updates with photos.

“Left our Cavapoo of 21 months old with Andrew & Karen for a first time away from home boarding for 7 days, 6 nights. They were wonderful with him showing care 'n cuddles immediately. Andrew provided updates & photos/videos daily which eased our concerns. Did everything they said they would following Quincey's routine. Slow socialization w/their dog Finn was nicely provided & slowly helped our dog get to know others. Walks together was great to see. Laid back and easy to work with as petsitters. Appreciated them both accepting our dog into their home as one of their own. Would definitely recommend them as petsitters & will be happy to book again in the future. Thanks again Andrew & Karen!”

About: I’ve grown up with animals and have ALWAYS had a special place in my heart for them. I have worked in boarding facilities for dogs and cats and currently have 2 overly spoiled dogs I try to take everywhere with me, and 1 cat who runs the household. I know how hard it is to leave them behind and always be sure they are in the best, most loving care possible. I have work from home capability to tend to your best friend 24/7! No amount of potty breaks are too many and there are no time restrictions on feedings. I have a fenced in yard out back and 2 friendly dogs for your fur baby to keep company. I have a play pen for smaller dogs if necessary.
