She’s four and half months old and is quite the handful, she’s also very attached to mom and dad. So it goes without saying we were a little nervous about leaving her side. Colleen came in and just blew us away with how patient and courteous she was to our fur baby from the start. We knew instantly we had found the perfect person to watch over her. About: I have had dogs my entire life and every single one of them has had a piece of my heart! I presently have two senior dogs and one three-year old, who probably feels as passionately about dogs as I do! I have also lived with, loved, and taken care of several cats over the last 13 years. Growing up, I was responsible for taking care of my family’s lizards and frogs. I presently am able to control my own schedule and can make myself available for any last-minute or unexpected pet care needs that you may have. Currently, my only blocked off time for certain is Wednesdays from 5:30pm-9:30pm In my home, I have a fenced in yard to ensure that outside time is safe and fun. If you do not have a fenced in space but are still looking for your pup to have some outdoor time, I always ensure a leash is used to keep them safe. I have successfully used components of behavior analysis to build trust and confidence in my own dogs, while also ensuring that I understand their own behavioral cues to prevent stress in new or different situations. This includes shaping behaviors, frequent reinforcement, and pairing with new dogs to demonstrate that I am a safe person in their environment. Should transportation ever need to occur, I have a seat belt that clips to any standard harness as well as a seat cover that prevents climbing over the center console. I have a number of 6-foot leashes as well as 2 30-foot leashes to allow for safe running in open spaces, and an expandable 10-foot leash.

About: Hi! I have had pets my whole life. Growing up we had dogs and then beginning in 2006, I adopted my first cat and ultimately turned my family into cat lovers (we have 8 kitties between the various family members). I’ve personally used Rover for the last year for cat sitters during some family travel and have been so impressed with the service that I wanted to become a sitter myself. I am currently working part-time from home, so I have lots of time between school and/or camp drop-offs and pick-ups to play with doggies and kitties. About: Hello! My name is Rachel, I am a graduate student living in Lancaster and love to take care of your pets in my free time! I grew up with a big family and many animals including goats, horses, chickens, ducks, and a few dogs running around. I have always loved animals, especially horses and dogs. I also worked at Karen’s K9 Kare in Malvern for around a year. During my time there I gained experience dealing with large groups of dogs as well as bathing, training, and getting picky dogs to eat. About: I have a wide variety of pet walking and sitting experience. From my years taking care of pets, I have learned many important skills. Such as how to administer oral medication’s and interact with high energy dogs. I have also become very good at gaining cats trust and allowing them to tell me what they need from me. About: I’ve always had a dog in my life, and I can’t imagine it any other way. Caring for dogs comes naturally to me, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. Your pup will get plenty of attention, affection, and care—just like they would at home. I am a registered nurse and lifelong dog lover offering doggy daycare and overnight boarding in my home. My home features a large fenced-in yard for safe play and, during the summer months, supervised pool time for fun and cooling off. With my nursing background, I’m attentive, reliable, and comfortable following routines or administering medications if needed. About: I believe I am well suited for hands-on animal care and observation because I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and helping them feel safe and comfortable. My life experiences have taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of earning trust—qualities that allow me to connect with animals and provide the attentive, gentle care they deserve. I take pride in being dependable, observant, and willing to put in the time and effort needed to support their health and well-being. I’m home the majority of the time with an outing or two a day. The outing can last as long as 3 and a half hours. I take a half hour morning walk and can take a second walk after dinner. Your pet will be treated like family. I pay attention to their noises and motions to better understand their needs. I will walk the dog outside on their leash to relieve themself and feed them on their schedule.

About: I've taken care of dogs for over a decade from high energy (I have a border collie) to low energy (I also have a shih tzu), elderly, and everything in between. I'd love to make your dog's day by taking them on a walk or giving them an incredible play time. Same goes for your cats! Whether your pets love activity or simply want someone to watch them sniff in the backyard or hang on the couch, I'd love to bring a highlight to their day. Right now, Friday nights through Sunday are the times I have completely free to dedicate to helping take care of your pets. I'm hoping to add more times soon and options to board. As someone who searches for hours to find the right person to watch my pets, I know how hard it can be to trust someone new to take care of your fur family. Whether it's pictures, reassuring texts, following your instructions exactly, or all 3 I will do my best to make your pets as happy and healthy as possible. I offer drop in visits and walks, so please let me know what you are and aren't comfortable with and I will make sure they are well cared for while giving you as many updates as you'd like!

“Ashley & Jerrell were exceptionally kind & thoughtful, going the extra mile to help us board our dog on short notice during an emergency. Great communication throughout shifting circumstances and they were also very patient with my elderly mother. The only downside was that our dog was crated from 6:30am to 3:30pm while they were at work, but not unexpected.”
