About: I love dogs and grew up with them! Though I don't have the space for them now, I've been missing some puppy playtime! Both of my parents are vets as well, so I'm also pretty well versed in all things pet care! About: I am an experienced petsitter who has worked in a professional, insured capacity (for Heavy Petting Petsitting) for over a decade. I also have experience working as an Adoptions Counselor at the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, where I was trained in the “Fear Free”, positive reinforcement-focused method of animal training and handling. I have an extensive understanding of both canine and feline body language and behavior, and have worked with dogs and cats of all breeds and personality types! Updated rates reflect current gas prices and road closures. Thank you for understanding! I’m a college professor who has wide availability during the summer months. During the fall, my daytime schedule may be more restricted, but I am usually at home at least a couple of days of the week! I have a household of a dog (cattle dog mix) and two kitties who are all very animal friendly! However, if your fur baby is not a fan of other animals, I am happy to stay at your home and follow your preferences as far as house conduct goes.

This most recent stay my dog got sick and Kristi took great care of him until I could get home from my trip. She alerted me as soon as she noticed anything and kept me in the loop. She went above and beyond and washed his blankets he’d had gotten sick on. I would definitely recommend Kristi.”
