About: I grew up with pets (both cats and dogs) and have always loved being around and caring for animals. I worked as an animal care associate at the Humane Society of Chittenden County in Burlington, VT, where I learned safe handling techniques, gained medical knowledge, and cared for a wide variety of breeds and behavioral cases. I have extensive experience with cats, dogs, and smallies of all shapes and sizes and would love to help care for yours. She was flexible with drop off, and walked the dog a couple of times in a few hours, which was just what the dog needed after 8 hours in the car. About: I don’t have much experience with dogs if I’m being honest. The only experience I had with a dog was with a baby pitbull and that was for about a year. That being said, despite my lack of experience I am willing to learn. My love for animals in general is why I am open to learning. We recently said goodbye to our senior Boston Terrier in January of this year. We have owned multiple Boston Terriers for the past 20 years. I also recently fostered a Goberian (half Golden Retriever/half Husky) for 4 months so am comfortable with large dogs as well as small. I work a hybrid schedule that I manage myself so can be home most of the time with your pet. If I do need to be in the office I am only gone for 4-5 hours at a time. I have a fenced in, brick courtyard that's great for quick potty breaks and lounging in the sun. But I also really enjoy long walks so can accomodate whatever your pet prefers. Happy to discuss everything and will do whatever is best for your pet. We also own a Syrian Hamster named Cookie Dough that is completely secure in her enclosure. Your pet would have to be ok with children (extra play time for your pet) because I have a 9 year old daughter who is here most of the time. I will be the person providing care to your pet 100% of the time. At no time will my child be responsible for or left alone with your pet. Any additional questions, please ask. We are not yet ready for our own full time dog and we miss having one around so I figured we would give Rover a try. Look forward to meeting you and your pet. I felt at ease knowing my pup was loved on and cared for while I was out of town and would highly recommend them for anyone in need of a dog sitter.”
