“Great peace of mind leaving my two dogs with Samantha when a family emergency mandated I leave town suddenly. When I picked my pups up, they were happy and calm from all the playtime they got in Samantha's large, shady backyard. Will definitely book again with Samantha in the future!”

About: Hi! I’m Elizabeth, a lifelong animal lover based in the Pittsburgh area. I understand that pets are family, and when you leave them with someone else you want the same care, attention, and safety you’d give them yourself. I spent 13 years with my sweet mini poodle mix Theo, who taught me how much love and personality can live in one small dog. Because of him, I’m especially attentive to each pet’s unique quirks, routines, and comfort needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, couch snuggles, or a consistent routine, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel most at home. I’m dependable, communicative, and I’ll send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pet will be treated with the same patience, kindness, and care I would want for my own. I currently work from home and have complete flexibility with my job to ensure your pet gets as much attention, walks, and love throughout the day as they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow your pet’s routine closely, provide a calm environment, and ensure they are always supervised, secure, and well cared for. I will always send you updates and let you know what we are up to on our days together.
“Juniper had the best day with Adrienne and her pupper. I felt very secure leaving my furchild with her and appreciated all the photos and videos.”

“Alexis was very responsive during our "interview" stage and very pleasant upon arrival. Although prince was anxious to leave he seemed to be comfortable and safe and that's all that mattered. Thank you for being available.”

“Christy watched my dog for daycare for a week and was great! My dog is deaf and blind so it’s difficult finding someone I trust with her, but Christy was wonderful and sent lots of photos each day.”

“Valerie was terrific! She treated our little Hattie like her own and provided routine updates with pictures. We've already scheduled our next Doggy Day Care!”

About: I brought our two cats, Chili and Lok-Lok, all the way from China, but I grew up with dogs in my family and love both. I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends’ dogs and I heard about this app so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Whenever I get called on to dog-sit for my friend here in Pittsburgh I like to go to the dog parks near the South Side river or jog along with them, rain or snow, and socialize with other dogs. Looking forward to meeting yours! I’m a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh so summer and winter breaks are relatively free, and usually I’m only “working” 2-3 half days per week. I have to do a lot of reading and thinking so getting out of the house is a good way to take a break and process. I have a fenced yard where I do some gardening and let our cats out every day to chase bugs and birds. My friends have stayed over with their dogs and I just move the cats to the second floor and keep them there while the dogs take the first and the yard.

About: I have had the pleasure of working as a pet care attendant for two separate boarding facilities over the course of 6 years! I also have a few years of experience working as a vet tech assistant! I have lots of experience with animals with different medical needs and have had dogs all my life! I currently am working short part time shifts only a few times a week. Other than that I am available to walk, feed, and play with any pets that need it! I have no other animals in my home, and live near plenty of green space as well as some dog parks for walks and play time!

“Barrett really was amazing. We booked him last minute (less than 2 hours before we needed him) so we could take in a Pirates game while passing thru Pittsburgh, and he was quite gracious. Our Tucker is nearly 15 and a bit of a nervous Nellie. Barrett took it all in stride. I highly recommend Barrett”

About: I grew up with dogs and have loved animals my entire life. I have been a pet sitter for many friends and neighbors over the years and had my own canine companion for 10 years. She passed away in November of 2023. Animals deserve to be loved and treated like family. I promise that your dogs will be treated very well and that they will truly enjoy their “vacation” at my home. It’s difficult to leave your “loved ones” in the care of others and I know that feeling. Rest assured that they will be cared for and spoiled to the best of my ability! I am a behavioral therapist who works with children and families. I have a hybrid job which means that I work from home doing Telehealth services and I also see clients in person at times. I am home for most of the day and this worked perfectly when I cared for my late dog, Arwen. I do not have any pets currently. I have an elevated deck that is only accessible from the house. It is surrounded and my dog loved to spend time out there basking in the sun. I have a yard but it is not fenced in. My neighborhood is quiet and very dog friendly.
“Justin was great as he was able to accommodate a late evening daycare visit for our dog Fran while we went for an event in town. He was incredibly accommodating and flexible with the timing and was very eager to help. His corgi Watson is adorable and a very social dog. Our dog was anxious but Justin was able to keep her company and sooth her while we were gone for a few hours, she eventually relaxed and laid her head on his lap! I would highly recommend Justin to take care of your dog as he loves them and provides great care for them.”

“It was Riley's first road trip to Philly (from GA). While his humans cheered on the Temple football team, Brittani provided excellent care and showed Riley around! She even took professional-grade photos of his walks! And, Riley enjoyed playing with her fur baby. If Riley's in town for any other home Temple football game, he'll be asking to go to Brittani's!!”

Being around pets again brings me joy and comfort, and I always strive to give that same feeling back to the animals I care for. About: Hi! I'm Bre – a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of pet-sitting experience in both NYC and Pittsburgh. I’m based near Swisshelm Park and have cared for pets of all kinds throughout my life. I grew up with a loyal Yellow Lab, a beautiful Golden Retriever, a spunky Jack Russell, and three cats, and am well-versed in the unique personalities and needs of all types of furry friends. Over the years, I’ve provided everything from dog walking and drop-in visits to overnight care and extended house sitting. At the moment, I'm available for walks and drop-in visits. While I’d love to have a dog of my own, my current living situation doesn't allow for it –which just means I have extra love and attention to give to yours! I’m responsible, punctual, and trustworthy. I’m also playful, affectionate, and very in tune with the different energy levels and preferences pets may have. Whether your pup or kitty is full of energy or prefers quiet cuddles, I’ll adapt to their needs. You can expect regular updates and plenty of photos during our time together. I’d be happy to meet up for an introduction before booking – just reach out with any questions! I am also independently insured outside of the Rover Guarantee through Pet Sitters Associates. I have a fairly flexible schedule — perfect for daytime walks, outdoor playtime, and evening care. My availability is generally between 8 AM and 10 PM, so I can easily accommodate a variety of routines. At the moment, I’m only offering walks and drop-in visits (no overnight stays), but I’m happy to provide multiple check-ins throughout the day to keep your pet comfortable and cared for in their own home. Please note for April 13-April 30: I will be unavailable for drop-ins + walks after 12pm. I’m more than happy to come to your home to ensure your pets are cared for, comfortable, and getting the attention they need in a familiar environment. I approach every sitting with the understanding that I’m stepping into your pet’s world—their home, routine, and safe space. I prioritize consistency and a calm, gentle presence, especially for anxious or timid pets. I’m mindful of my tone, volume, and movements, and I keep routines as normal as possible. With repeat visits, I use the same soft greeting so they begin to recognize and feel safe with me. I never force interaction and always allow pets to approach on their own terms, building trust at their pace.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 16 and have years of hands-on experience with pets of all ages and personalities. I have a 1-year-old cat of my own, help care for my boyfriend’s two pitbulls, and my family has two shih tzus, so I’m very comfortable with both small and large breeds. I also regularly pet sit for neighborhood furry friends, and even while attending boarding school in Boston, I cared for local pets there as well. I am committed to your furry family members’ happiness, comfort, and well-being. I provide personalized care tailored to each pet’s unique needs, whether they’re an energetic puppy or a senior pet who needs extra patience and attention. My genuine love for animals and strong attention to detail show in everything I do—from keeping routines consistent to sending regular updates and photos—so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I’m a recent graduate currently working part-time (4-6 hour shifts) while studying for my personal training certification, so I have a flexible schedule with lots of free time. About: I have had 3 dogs of my own! An Australian Cattle Dog Mix, a Basenji mix, and a working line large breed German Shepherd, which I helped train in obedience to be an SD. My dogs always had scheduled potty breaks and playtime. My job is to make sure your pet has the best time while keeping boundaries/respecting their space, ensuring their safety, and following your expectations of care. I am comfortable with any amount of shedding and the size of your pet. I can especially ease my interaction with pets that are scared and anxious, as through training my own dog, I am better at picking up the dog’s body language and only engage in physical contact if the pet’s body language consents. If you have an aggressive pet, please notify me beforehand. I do not guarantee I will agree to care for them, but I am interested in scheduling a first meeting if possible. Note: I do not drink/smoke, so your loved one will never be affected by second-hand smoke or inappropriate behavior. I am very available on the weekends and by the afternoon on weekdays. If you need morning care, please reach out and I will see if I can accommodate! My pets are routinely groomed and freshened. Everyone they come inside after heavy play, I clean their body from head to toe with pet friendly wipes. I use a brush that helps with shedding and smoothing out hair. Their teeth gets brushed every 2 weeks. I check their ears for dirt routinely and the inside of their paws for any injuries or cracking from dryness.
About: I have taken care of animals in my hometown area since I was 10 and am very happy when interacting with pets. I started by walking dogs and eventually started taking care of pets overnight. I am taking college classes, so I have free time when I am not in class. Every day I have a break big enough between classes that would allow me to care for a pet. I am happy to learn how to care for a pet in its own home and to hear about the pet's preferences and needs in their home.

“Our schedule was erratic and included my mistake in scheduling. Sima and her family were gracious hosts and worked with our schedule. I received updates on how our doggo was doing everyday. It has been a pleasure working with them, I would definitely consider them next time we are in town.”

“Breanna was everything we could have asked for in a sitter! She sent lots of photos and updates, had toys for our dog to play with, and even took him for his favorite treat, a pup cup! She was very communicative and asked great questions to make sure she knew everything he needed. I'd definitely hire her again!”

“Raeann is a compassionate and caring person who showed great affection towards our 12 y/o girl. Would recommend her services and would like to use her services in the future.”

“Damara was wonderful! She was very caring and thoughtful with Theo. From the pictures and communication I could tell that Theo enjoyed his time with Demara and her daughter. Would definitely rebook in the future!”

“I have a really hard time leaving my dog with anyone but Denyal made me feel comfortable. She sent a lot of pictures and responded quickly when I checked in with her. My dog got lots of exercise and attention, and since other dogs were staying with her as well, they all played together. I would highly recommend Denyal.”

“Adrienne takes wonderful care of Finn and gives us tons of adorable updates of his adventures throughout the day. He's always so excited to stay with Adrienne. Thanks again!”

“Amanda and Jack were absolutely amazing! My girl, Onyx, had an issue with her elbow, and they handled the situation with incredible care, compassion, and professionalism. They kept me updated with photos throughout her stay, which gave me tremendous peace of mind, and they even took her on a nature hike so she could enjoy some time outdoors. It's clear they genuinely care about the animals they look after. I highly recommend Amanda's services and wouldn't hesitate to trust them with Onyx again!”

“Once again, success! My dog Teddy much enjoyed his 2nd stay with Ellyn & family. We very much appreciate her conscientiousness & flexibility, as well as ease of communication. Most of all knowing Teddy is being cared for in a loving family environment while I’m away is the best thing ever!”

About: Hi, I'm Angela! I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by dogs, and I truly believe a home isn’t complete without the sound of four paws on the floor. I recently said goodbye to my beloved Pit Bull, Bia. She was my world, and I want to treat your pup with the same devotion, patience, and affection that I gave to her. My fiancée, Lauren, and I have her two dogs 2 weeks out of the month and they are great with other dogs and love to make friends! I work from home during the day and am a dance teacher in the evening. Between the two of us we have flexibility most of the day for house visits, walks, boarding, and daycare! I work from home during the day and my fiancée is home in the evening so we have a flexible schedule to give your furkid lots of love and attention! I have a large backyard on a quiet residential street and 2 sweet dogs part time who love to make friends! I have the ability to crate dogs of all size in my home and will not accept dogs from multiple families at one time so your baby will be spoiled!

“Courtney is amazing. So sweet and understanding. She took such great care of my 2 dogs and treated them just like her own. One dog I thought was my problem child pup but she had no problem with him which is such a plus when going away. I will book with Courtney from now on. So happy to have found her. Thank you Courtney.”

“Lindsay and her family were wonderful and accommodating. They were also very flexible with my pickup time. They and their dog Murphy took great care of Sadie. I will certainly use Lindsay again to take care of Sadie next time I’m in the area. I highly recommend.”

“I always forget to post a review. Sorry about that Amy! Amy has been Kida's sitter for quite some time now and she does an awesome job! Kida simply adores her and her son. Even though I've moved further away I still prefer to take my pup to Amy :).”

“Coralee and her family were incredible. I got videos and/or photos everyday of our little lady. Our dog LOVED it at Coralee’s. Typically after boarding she gets in the car and starts whining and crying, but this time she immediately laid down and went to sleep. She was so exhausted from all the fun! I’m not sure she even wanted to go home with us! I would HIGHLY recommend Coralee to anyone. We’ve already got 2 more bookings with her for the summer, and I’m sure our pup is looking forward to playing with her friends again.”

“We would like to give Ali 10 stars! She was the best possible caregiver for our nervous goofy dog. She sent dear photos and videos during our trip, and it was so sweet to hear how she spoke to Lucky. On top of all of the expert care, she was extremely gracious and flexible when I made a mistake with the booking dates. We feel so fortunate to have found Ali.”

“This was our puppy's first night away from home and I can't say enough about how reassuring it was to have him at Emily and Patrick's. He loved having another dog to play with. They had mountains of toys to entertain him as well. We got pictures and videos. And, more importantly, they kept him content despite his separation distress. We'll definitely come back to them when we need a dogsitter!”

“My dogs had a great time with Christy. She sent me photos of my pups everyday and was very responsive. This was the first time my dogs had been away from me for more than a week and I know they were well loved in her house.”
