About: I’ve taken care of lots of different kinds of animals since I was a teenager. I worked at a zoo in England for a summer when I was a bit younger and from then, I grew a genuine passion for animals. About: I grew up with multiple dogs and so have had experience since youth walking, feeding, and caring for them. In my adult life I have co-owned one dog for around 6 years and worked to house-train him and correct some behavior issues via positive reinforcement. I have also owned multiple cats over the past 16 years including raising one from kittenhood to adulthood. For the past 2.5 years I have been volunteering regularly with the in-house dogs at the PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) Gray's Ferry clinic. My responsibilities include giving the dogs ample enrichment time outside by playing with them and positively reinforcing good behaviors, as well as feeding and cleaning up after them. I have worked there with all different dog sizes and age ranges, including puppies and seniors. I am available for check-ins mornings, mid afternoon, and evenings as well as overnight care as needed. I am not currently available for boarding dogs at my home. I do not accept sitting requests for unspayed/unneutered dogs. I currently do not own any dogs but I do own one high-anxiety cat whose behavior is being managed well with daily medications mixed in with his food. I'm very patient with both cats and dogs and am always ready to give them plenty of space to approach me and begin to feel comfortable with me in their own time. I am comfortable caring for dogs via feeding, walks, playtime, and medicating as needed. For cats I can provide feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime or just hanging out, and medicating as necessary. I have experience pilling cats if the cat's personality allows for this.

I live in a pet-friendly apartment conveniently located near several parks, perfect for walks and outdoor adventures if your pup loves exploring. I have a small Chiweenie who enjoys playtime, but if your dog prefers a quiet, safe space, I’m happy to accommodate crate time as well.
About: I have had experience with dogs and cats my whole life! I love spending time with them and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for! I currently have flexible availability. I am able to make multiple visits throughout the day and can travel anywhere near Philadelphia or the surrounding areas! I will follow all preferences and requests made to the best of my ability and will always ensure safety and comfort of all pets when entering and leaving.

“Christopher really put my mind at ease when I felt anxious about leaving Mochi for an extended boarding stay in an unfamiliar city. Mochi got more exercise than he ever gets with me and Christopher’s family’s home is beautiful and dog friendly (lots of doggie toys, cuddles on sofa, etc). I was a little worried about encounters with other dogs on walks (Mochi can be selectively dog aggressive). Christopher handled him like a champ and had no issues at all. There was a little trouble with medications, but in Chris’s defense- Mochi really doesn’t like the honkin’ large intercepter chew and it can be tough to fool him into eating it. I was concerned that I found pieces of the medicine mixed in with Mochi’s food in the big food bag- I believe Mochi just didn’t eat it and Chris mixed the leftover food (with medicine) back into the food bag. Overall I am very happy with Christopher and would use him again. Highly recommend!”
