Growing up my parents owned dogs of all sizes and personalities (Dalmatian, Akitas, border collie, and jack russel) I love the Lower Allen dog park and would gladly take any dogs there with permission! My previous rescue pit had an abusive past which sadly caused some behavioral issues. Due to that I am more than comfortable watching any dogs that may be a little rough around the edges. I have no problem giving any daily medication needed. I’m just a fun loving dog owner who would love to give your dog wonderful care and attention! I am a stay at home mom so my days are pretty open. I also have access to flexible free child care through grandparents so I don’t have to have my child with me during any dog visits or stays. This allows me to be able to work with your needs! I’m available for caring overnight in your home where your pup is most comfortable! Lots of attention and if they’re allowed in the bed or on the couch they’ll be right there next to me. About: I don't have a ton of experience with pet-sitting, but I LOVE animals. My two cats are my life, and I always do what I can to ensure they are happy in their forever home. About: I’ve had a heart for animals since I was young, and have owned both cats and dogs - ranging from low-energy Pugs to high-energy Boxers - for the majority of my life. My pet care experience mostly includes sitting for friends and family members, and caring for my own dog, a 6-year old Mini Poodle mix. I’ve taken care of senior animals with a variety of health conditions, and have no problem providing medications from pills to eye drops. I also have some experience working with reactive dogs, as my dog deals with reactivity issues. Through a 6-session training course we completed with a professional trainer in the summer of 2025, I’ve learned techniques to improve behavior on walks, as well as a long list of enrichment activities to help your high-energy pups burn energy throughout the day. The best days for me to care for your pet in Lancaster or York are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends. If requested, I may be able to accommodate services in Lancaster on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. I thrive on routines and like to keep somewhat of a normal routine for my dog. This includes feedings, giving medications, multiple walks, and enrichment activities (in or outside, depending on weather). My dog has anxiety and spring/summer are the most difficult for her, so I keep on music or background sounds while in the house, and make sure she is always on a leash when outside. I am willing and open to following any routines you have for your pet, however, I am not comfortable with electric fences or shock collars. I always have my phone easily accessible and am a quick communicator, so I can provide pictures, texts, or calls as requested if you’d like to check up on your fur baby.

My family and neighbors would trust me to feed and water their pets while they were away. I am great at crating puppies and socializing feral/young kittens. “This was first time Timmy, our 5 year jackapoo, was ever away from home without us. Timmy is very much attached to us and we’re very protective of him. My mother-in-law just turned 100 and my wife arranged a large family gathering for a 4 Day Florida celebration where her mother resides. We scheduled a meet snd greet with Amy and Patrick, Timmy and ourselves. We immediately felt that Timmy would be in good hands and Amy and Patrick disappoint. We received pictures and videos daily of Timmy on walks, playing and at bedtime. They followed our directions for feeding and treats to the letter! We highly recommend Amy and Patrick if you are looking for loving and caring folks to take care of doggie while you are away. They’re the best!”
