About: I've taken care and rescued all sorts of animals from guinea pigs to giant pitties. I have been in rescue for about 9 years. It comes out of pocket, but if I don't save them or help who will? I am also good at medication injection and oral administration of medication as well. I can do walks, check in's, doggy day care, house sit, etc. I will accommodate your needs for your furbaby. I am not afraid of bigger dogs as most people might be. I think of them as giant teddy bears. If you work mid shift or over night and need somewhere for your four legged children to go while you work we have just the place for them. About: I've grown up around labs since my grandparents were breeders. All my aunts have had labs (usually more than one at a time), so I've gotten the chance to look after them and give them walks when they were away on vacation. My most recent experience was with my roommate's St Bernard. Optimus is the largest dog I've ever cared for let alone lived with. He's been a ton of work considering his previous owner's unfortunate lack of care. We've dealt with ear infections and bulking up to a healthy weight. Throughout all, patience and determination prevailed and he's our big buddy. I'm currently working three 12-hour shifts each week providing me evenings on work days and full days twice during week and all weekend for caring for cats. I'm unavailable Wednesday evenings and weekend mornings for religious reasons. I have a clean home vacuumed every morning with plenty of windows for looking out of. Scratching posts are in every room with plenty of toys and treats to go around. I love petting cats and giving belly rubs if that's their thing.

I can best typically do check ins and walks in the early morning and in the evening. I'm assuming that I'll be doing a typical 9 to 5, so anything before 9am or after 5pm is within reach for me to make sure your pets are well cared for and loved while you're away. ❤️ You can reach out to me with any schedule questions and I can try to work something out with you! I always do my very best to be as gentle as possible with all pets! I tend to avoid using "alpha" proving tactics unless it is necessary for my or your pets safety (ex. scruffing, using chokers tightly, using the shock option over the buzz option on an electric collar). I see these options as only being necessary when the pet is acceptionally aggressive and may hurt myself, itself, or others. I'm also very cautious around doors as I know many pets would take the opportunity to bolt it into the street if they could. I can handle bruises and scratches well from excited pets! I'm usually always covered in them from my own fur babies.

About: Hi! I’m Julie. I grew up on a hobby farm surrounded by a menagerie of animals from a young age. Everything from chickens and goats to rabbits, cats, and dogs, and the occasional bit of wildlife, were welcome in my families home. As a high school student I became increasingly involved in agriculture and milked cows and cared for livestock. This turned into a love that led me to college in rural Maine where I earned a degree in Agriculture and Sustainability, all while working on a dairy farm each day. Currently, I homeschool my two children and am blessed with the ability to work from home. We live on a wooded property and have access to a small lake which is boarded by a wooded dirt road. Additionally, we have a small walking trail system directly on our property. We share our home with a Newfie doodle, Arlo, who is 1.5 years old, a Sulcuta tortoise, and a cat that lives under the bed. We have a large red deck with a fenced in space off of this for easy bathroom access and unleashed roaming space for your dog. I work from home and homeschool my children. Our days have built in flexibility and can be arranged to accommodate the needs of any pet staying with us. We enjoy time outdoors, and can often be found working remotely or “out schooling” from our backyard or a hiking trail. In our home, the pets are people too (and we will narrate their thoughts based on their expressions 🤪). Pets are allowed on the furniture and in all rooms. We have a large front porch for slow mornings and evenings that stretch well past sunset. We also have a large deck in the rear which has a fenced area off of it to allow plenty of space for unattended bathroom breaks or unleashed space to roam. My children are well versed in animal care and also understand giving space to a new animal, calm energy, etc. I will always setup a meet and greet prior to booking to ensure everyone feels comfortable and welcome. Medications can be distributed, and special diets can be managed.
