About: I have been watching animals as my full-time profession for over 12 years. I am very loving, nurturing, patient, trustworthy, organized and dependable, which helps me succeed in my speciality of watching the animals out of their homes. However, I do have a very friendly shih-tzu in my home that allows me to watch dogs in my home as well. Half of my yard is fenced in, and the other 1/2 has two leads in case there are dogs that may need separated. I also will walk them daily for exercise. At the meet and greets, I go over a plan where we set the number of hours I can be gone for my walks and visits, and I work within the time frame requested. However, if your pets need let out, fed, etc any where under six hours, I will need to adjust my pricing. I have to honor my regular customers as well. I have worked with all sizes of dog, administer medications, insulin injections, seizure experience, and am known to be very strong, and able to handle the larger breeds. I gave more time to spend with your animals. I have a large yard with 4 leads. Also half of my yard is fenced in. They are never left outside unattended. Will provide daily walks as well if needed. Someone is always home with your dogs but could be crated if needed. At your home if I watch your animals, I am very trustworthy and follow directions to a tee. I respect your home and leave it the same as when I got there.

I grew up with multiple dogs (big and small, young and old), two foster cats and four bunnies. I don’t have a fully fenced-in yard, but I have plenty of yard space in a quiet neighborhood. There is a small, short fenced area directly off the porch with a patch of grass for quick potty breaks. Dogs can also be taken outside on a leash or tethered, depending on what they’re accustomed to and what their owner prefers. I’m also very accustomed to accidents in the house—one of my Bassets, Polly, has them regularly—so a dog who isn’t perfectly house-trained, has occasional accidents, or needs more frequent potty breaks is absolutely not a problem. I have an XL crate if that is something they prefer. My other Basset, Hank has bad anxiety and takes daily medications so that is not a problem either. Most importantly, I know being away from their people and usual surroundings can be stressful for pets. I want your dog to feel like they’re staying at a second home rather than just being boarded somewhere. I’ll do my best to stick to their routine, learn their quirks, give them plenty of attention, and make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved until you’re back 🐾❤️

About: Hello! My name is Rachael, and I'm a graduate student who loves animals. My black cat, Zelda, has lived and traveled with me through six different countries and now lives with me here in Pittsburgh. I was raised in a household full of dog people and always lived with at least two dogs at any given time, so I have a lot of experience caring for and playing with dogs of various sizes and personalities. I also am experienced with caring for various other kinds of pets, from hedgehogs to lizards to fish to frogs. I'm a PhD student with a lot of flexibility in my schedule, so I typically schedule walks and drop-ins for the morning or evening. I also have no classes on Fridays and a lot of flexibility on weekends! I like to fit walks and visits into my daily routine in a way that helps me to get some extra steps in. When petsitting in a client's home, I always review all the instructions carefully. It's helpful for me to know as much as possible about the pet, such as any health or behavioral concerns I should be aware of, likes and dislikes, etc. I always respect a pet's boundaries and prioritize their safety and wellbeing. About: I had numerous dogs growing up and currently have one of my own, Finley, a Goldendoodle; I adore looking after pets and others. Dogs of all energy levels are welcome as I have a large yard, great for playtime, and plenty of space to accommodate others. Plenty of experience with medicines and special needs animals, too. Routine is key with time management to make sure there’s adequate time for play and adventure. Every morning starts with a walk, and I typically take my own pet to the park twice a day. My home has an enclosed backyard with ample space to run around. When house/petsitting, I’ll always ensure pets are on a leash before exiting to run errands or go for a walk.
