About: I brought our two cats, Chili and Lok-Lok, all the way from China, but I grew up with dogs in my family and love both. I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends’ dogs and I heard about this app so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Whenever I get called on to dog-sit for my friend here in Pittsburgh I like to go to the dog parks near the South Side river or jog along with them, rain or snow, and socialize with other dogs. Looking forward to meeting yours! I’m a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh so summer and winter breaks are relatively free, and usually I’m only “working” 2-3 half days per week. I have to do a lot of reading and thinking so getting out of the house is a good way to take a break and process. About: I have hands-on experience raising my two Bichons, Sanji and Miso, from puppyhood. I took care of Miso throughout her pregnancy, supported her during labor, and looked after Sanji by himself starting from the day he was born. While I am not a professional breeder or expert, I learned basic canine care through caring for them personally. I know how to watch for stress cues, stick to consistent feeding routines, support calm daily social time, and give gentle care to anxious or older dogs. I have two gentle, fully neutered Bichon Frises of my own at home. I do NOT board client pets at my house, all services are done exclusively at your home. To prevent stress or fights, I will never bring my own two Bichons to your property, nor will I walk your dog together with mine. While walking outdoors, I closely supervise your pup to stop them from eating unknown debris on the ground. I only choose quiet, low-traffic walking routes to keep anxious or shy dogs comfortable.
About: I love dogs and grew up with them! Though I don't have the space for them now, I've been missing some puppy playtime! Both of my parents are vets as well, so I'm also pretty well versed in all things pet care!
