But in this case, not only is the house nice/roomy with a large backyard, but also it authentically feels like Jennifer and her daughter & husband are enjoying the experience as well. I feel like dogs respond to genuine affection, and that makes all the difference for us. Jennifer took pictures of her husband comforting Moose, and gave us stories about her daughter sleeping with him in her arms. This makes us want to give him this delightful experience everytime we are forced to travel without him, if possible. Our family took an impromptu mini vacation and Roseanna helped us out through the whole process. Communication was a breeze and she made us and Rome feel so comfortable in her home. She kept me up to date on his wellbeing through texts and sent pics of Rome throughout our vacation. Roseanna has a plenty of helpers for caring for your animals! Roseanna and her husband have 3 animal loving boys, and they share their home with Yuki (a wonderfully patient dog) a beautiful garden and a chicken coop! Rome had quite an amazing little farm experience! Roseanna and the family took Rome on hikes, walks, even a soccer game! The boys taught Rome tricks and they helped with his leash training! “A few days before our international trip, we stumbled across the Rover site. It was serendipitous, as was our luck in finding Amber. She was everything we wanted in someone who would be in our home and taking care of our cats. She is professional, organized, smart, hardworking, down to earth, and considerate. When we met for our consultation, we were very impressed with her, as well as very reassured by how receptive she was to our needs and situation. We were gone 16 days, and she kept in daily contact with us, providing updates and photos and videos. She went above and beyond, handling our worries thoughtfully and treating our cats as a as though they were her own. Our cats are indoor/outdoor, and Amber was flexible with her schedule so as to try to be in sync with their patterns, in addition to her other obligations. She offered our cats shelter, food and water, treats and playtime, cuddles and reassurance. And in doing so, she gave us tremendous peace of mind. When our one cat would go exploring for extended periods, Amber was mindful to track her adventures. She even took the initiative to look for her if to much time has passed since T had come home. Amber also checked in with us about the house and property, and made a great impression on my dad and sister (who came by and appreciated her efforts too). We can verify that our cats took to her as well, as we had cameras set up and saw how responsive they were to her! :) One of our biggest challenges taking this trip was what we were going to do about our cats (this was our first time away since we adopted them and we know our situation is a little unusual). We are so very grateful to have discovered Rover, and we are 100% going to book Amber and to recommend Amber, wholeheartedly, for future plans.”

His hibernation-like lifestyle may have contributed to his long, happy life, but I think my care was definitely a factor too. During the pandemic, I finally got a copilot of my own. Earl Grey is a small chi-weenie rescue who has been such a light in my life. Dogs really bring me such joy and I would love to offer care to pups in my free time. I am a respectful, responsible, and hard-working individual. I have been pet-sitting for my friends and family for years, and would be more than happy to continue this work. I am very comfortable with all dogs. I'm also familiar with several training strategies so will not disrupt your dog's training. I do warn you though I may try to teach them to high five. 🙃 I’m currently working park time while I prepare for my phD studies next year. I’ll have plenty of time to walk and play with your pups. While my current housing does not permit me to do boarding. I’m happy to commute to a client’s home to take care of their pet. I do take my dog to dog parks for socializing quite often and gladly offer this for all pup owners too.
