“Juliann did such a wonderful job of taking care of our beloved dog. She took the time to introduce herself and her lovely family and we got a chance to have Yoda do a meet and greet. Their house was very warm and inviting and they really took to him. They were very thorough with all of their questions and made sure that they were equipped to take good care of him. During the trip they gave us constant updates and photos and we felt very safe that he was in good hands. when we went to go pick him up, he did not seem that enthusiastic to leave, which was both sad but also a great sign of how much fun he was having there. We absolutely would work with them again and recommend them to anyone looking to have their dogs be in safe and loving hands.”

About: Hi! I’m River. I was raised with cats and their kittens as a child, and have always bonded closely with them. I adopted My Own Cat promptly upon turning 18 (in 2002); Khaki was with me for 18 years, outliving his adopted brother Leo (my sister’s cat), who ended up living with me as well. I’ve also cared for my exes cat (Alli), and my son’s first cat (Lady Grey), and my current grand cats, Cas and Zizi. I am comfortable with litter box training, cleaning messes, handling kitten energy, etc. I can do light grooming (brushing fur, cleaning with wipes, applying powders, etc) and give medications. I have experience helping cats with ear, eye, gastrointestinal, and kidney problems. I typically like to do a little light housekeeping anywhere I stay; I live by the motto of “leave it better than you found it.” I also have a wide range of experience and am comfortable caring for various other pets that might need tending while you’re out. I have done lots of pet-sitting for friends and family, and I love meeting and getting to know new animal friends. Rich came to my place with piglet for meet and greet with my 3 smalls . He shared with me how much anxiety he was having trying to find the exact right fit for piglet. I have 3 dogs. Doyle is my fear dog (He has come ALONG ways in 5 short years. He immediately ran up to Rich and put his feet on his legs so he could pet him. About: I’ve been rescuing animals for over 22 years-I’ve cared for big, slobbery Rottweilers to tiny, judgmental cats, fish who pretend not to notice me, and guinea pigs that somehow eat like linebackers. I’ve handled rabbits with attitude, a special needs Yorkie who runs the house, and our Texas rescue Lucy—who I’m pretty sure thinks she rescued me. I have a designated bedroom with a ring camera just for my furry friends! We can keep the pets isolated in their own space the entire time, or they can have free roaming of the house. Options for those pets who need less sensory and more quiet and privacy. I work full-time at a hospital Monday through Friday, so my availability for more hands-on, all-day care is best on weekends. During the week, I’m still happy to offer overnight stays, I just like to mention that-because on weekdays, there may be up to an eight-hour stretch without potty breaks while I’m at work. I live in a fantastic walking neighborhood and can happily meet you in yours or bring them to mine. Can never get too much exercise in! Plus, my big fully fenced in yard is at their disposal.
