“Sandy was so accommodating for our dogs stay: from providing us with flexibility regarding drop off and pick up, to caring for and providing updates on our very shy and nervous dog! I felt Noodles was well taken care of and enjoyed his time away from us hanging out with other small dogs. Would book again. Thank you Sandy!!”

“Nad did an amazing job!! She messaged updates and lots of photos everyday!! I really appreciated everything she did for my pup. She is very quick and responding.”

“We had such a good first experience with Lajetta. She is a wonderful communicator, sent lots of photos and took great care of our dog. Our dog got along well with the other dogs, and was his normal self when picking him up at the end of the stay. Lajetta is proven to be great with dogs, and a responsible sitter, much appreciated!”

“Amber provided excellent care. Otis had a great time! We wanted Otis to experience more socialization with other dogs and he had two days of fun and playing with Amber and her family. Her location is perfect for travel out of PDX.”

“Taylor and their partner Olivia are wonderful people and dog sitters. They took such great care of Peanut and were super communicative. I truly had no time to worry about her because I regularly got photos and updates of how she was doing. I will definitely be booking with them again because I can trust they'll care for her well”

“Rebecca is a gem! She kept my 6 yr old 35 lb dog at her sunny apartment for 2 nights. They went to the farmers market, on lots of walks, and hung out with her grandkids. She sent lots of pictures and I enjoyed chatting with her when I picked up my dog.”

“Our dog didn't want to come home! I think she would've loving living with Lisa for the rest of he life which I think is the biggest compliment you can give a dog sitter.”

“Annika, John, and Pepper were great! We boarded our dog for the first time with strangers and he was understandably a bit anxious (and so were we). But they were great hosts and very responsive and extremely responsible. Pepper was a gracious host. Felix had a great time overall!”

“One of my dogs had to go to the vet and was put on several medications the day before we left. Ron had no problem caring for him and making sure he received his medicine. He also kept me updated on how he was doing. Everything went great and the dogs came back happy and well cared for.”

“We had a fantastic experience with Christine and Steven! They were generous in setting up a meet and greet as this was our dog’s first time staying with them. They are caring and responsive, and we really appreciated the photos and updates about our pup!”

“Juan Daniel was immediately kind, attentive, and extremely understanding when I had to extend my stay last minute. He asked all the right questions when he met Penny and she loved him instantly.”

“My dog Judy had a blast boarding with Chris, Bear and Cosmo. The accommodations were super dog friendly, with dog gates, doors, and especially the huge yard setup where the dogs had tons of space to run, play, and burn off energy. Judy got plenty of exercise and there was more than enough room for larger dogs to be comfortable too. Chris also took them to the great dog parks nearby, and Judy had a great time exploring there as well. It was also nice that all the dogs got along, which made everything feel easy and comfortable. Judy came home happy, tired, and had a great time during her stay. It was obvious she was being very well cared for and getting lots of attention the whole time. Thanks Chris!”

“Excellent job in watching my 3 year old dog Luca. Luca was taken care of with efficient communication and updated pictures. Will definitely use again when coming by and im sure Luca will enjoy his time again!!”

“Katherine did such a great job with our dog Roonie! She was super patient and caring to our nervous dog and sent plenty of updates while we were away which we adored. We are relieved to have a sitter who can care for our special girl the way we’d care for her at home. Will definitely be booking Katherine again!”

“Oh my goodness, I'm pretty sure Hazel had an even better vacation than I did! From the start she was comfortable and snuggly with Paul and Arnel. Their home is warm, relaxed, and attracts good "dog vibes," if that's a thing. I so appreciated the wonderful communication, too-- frequent pictures and sweet observations came my way. As a first time Rover user, I had lots of questions about logistics, communication, etc., and Paul was incredibly kind and helpful. Thank you, Paul and Arnel, for being the best imaginable home away from home for sweet Hazel!”

“Evita is a great pet sitter! She is very responsive, flexible, and proactive in letting you know your pet is being well taken care of. I couldn’t recommend her more, and hope she is available the next time I need to go out of town!”

“Holly and her entire family were so nice to take Cosmo in. She sent pictures often, and Cosmo had a great time. I loved that Cosmo found a buddy in her teenage son. He came back tired and happy after my week away.”

“Trace was an amazing sitter for our two cats. She was always on time for drop-in visits, posted informative updates and cute pictures, and was very responsive. We will definitely reach out to her first the next time we need a sitter.”

“Tayla was fantastic with two shy kitties! She was punctual with daily check-ins and sent updates with plenty of photos to ease my worry. Both cats were happy and well cared for. Tayla was thoughtful with her care and even suggested separate feedings to ensure Oona didn’t go hungry. We hope to rebook with Tayla for our next trip!”

“Evita was amazing!! This was our first time using rover and she made it a breeze. She was very accommodating to our cat, who can be quite anxious and have an attitude at times. We will be booking with Evita any time we need a pet sitter!!”

About: I have a 4 year old excitable spaniel of my own who certainly keeps my life exciting! I have always lived with dogs and can’t imagine it any other way. But I also love cats! Nearly all my friends have cats and I have lots of experience pet-sitting for many of them. I love spending time around animals and would love to take care of yours! I have a full-time 8-5 job, but do have flexibility within my week. I wfh at least one day a week - sometimes more. Evenings and weekends are usually super open for me! But feel free to reach out about availability as my schedule fluctuates often. I have a small fenced yard with space for your pup to potty and run. I also have a friendly dog of my own to keep yours company. I have a crate that can be used if your pup likes a place to settle. My furniture is my dogs furniture and it would be the same for your furry friend too! I also have an animal loving roommate - so double the love.
“Carmen was a great petsitter for my cat while I was gone for the weekend! She sent lots of pictures and was really easy to communicate with and quick to respond to texts. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Kamrie was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! She is one of the first sitters on here that I have really felt heard by :) I have 4 cats, one of which is on oral Fluoxetine and is at a dose that requires tapering, and causes side effects when a dose is missed. One of my main points of concern with choosing a sitter was that they would do whatever necessary (in the realm of their own safety of course) to ensure she gets her daily dose while I was out of town. Additionally, I have a specific way of preparing their meals competes (as there are a lot of cats lol). Kamrie came for a very pleasant meet and greet where I walked through preparing and heating the competes, towel wrapping my med kitty, and a demonstration of how to give her med. She went above and beyond for my kitties <3 Made their meals exactly how I do!! She scooped all 4 of my litter boxes, and cleaned and replaced the potty pads in the pad box (this is the box my anti-litter, med kitty uses mostly, she is a lil mentally challenged in her own way <3). Water bowls were replaced twice a day, boxes done twice a day!! Runi (med kitty) got her medication, their food was made perfect, and she even asked to stay longer one night to give the kitties an extra 30 minutes of play time and care, free of cost <3 Kamrie is an OUTSTANDING pet sitter!! I know it can feel a little uncertain to hire sitters who dont have pages of reviews YET, but she has tremendous experience with caring for animals ❤️ I will definitely hire her again!! Her rates are extremely reasonable too!!! Thank you Kamrie for taking such wonderful care of my babies 💞 I'm so happy to have you in my corner now, and will be reaching out to you next time I need a sitter!!!”

“Jacqueline went way above and beyond for the drop ins to take care of my two cats. The pics sent were adorable and very comforting as I'm away from my animals. Will definitely book with Jacqueline again!”

“Julia went above and beyond taking care of Baxter and giving him love. I felt so comfortable and confident with her. She helped me when I needed something checked at my place just so I felt reassured. I can’t recommend Julia enough.”

“Clara is great at communicating in advance when there are schedule conflicts (which have been minimal) and in being flexible when things are different for our schedule. And she loves our pup as much as we do.”

“Maya did such a wonderful job caring for my cat. I needed a sitter somewhat last minute, and Maya was great to work with from the beginning. Communication was prompt and clear, and I enjoyed the write-ups she did for each visit. My cat takes multiple supplements and she would let me know she was giving them as well. I would not hesitate to book with her again.”

“My cat loved Maddy! I felt so much better leaving him alone knowing he had someone coming to check in, and based on the pics, it seems like he really appreciated the attention & playtime.”

“Voltaire loved Rachel! I could tell he had been very loved and socialized when I got back. Rachel had clear professional communication throughout the booking and visits. She was very attentive and flexible. She took excellent notes. I didn’t worry for a single moment knowing Rachel would see Voltaire every day of my trip.”

“Milo did a great job communicating ahead of the drop in visits and during the drop in visits by providing plenty of notes and pictures. I will happily use Milo again for future cat sitting jobs!”

“Erin did a great job taking the best care of my cat Olive! Followed instructions, great communication, took the sweetest pictures, and overall good care of my home when I returned. I would definitely book again with Erin, she was wonderful and Olive definitely warmed up to her quick!”

“Our kitties warmed up to Nadtakan fast, and she took great care of them while we were away. I appreciated her attention to detail and reliability, and would like to connect again for future trips!”

“Niki cared a lot about my two cats while I went on a short trip. She communicated daily and sent pictures. Thanks for watching over Spooky and Eerie!”

About: While I don’t currently have any pets of my own, I have experience dog sitting for family and friends pets. I work from home and am able to take your furry friend out and about for potty breaks throughout the work day. After work I love taking long walks through the city and I can’t wait to have company if your pet is up for it! Dogs have been a part of my life since I was little and I have always consider them family. Pets are encouraged to snuggle up next to me on the couch while I’m working and in bed for the night. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry companion! I am a work from home gal who is able to take your pet out for frequent potty breaks. I am available for care 7 days a week. I live in an apartment but indoor play and long walks are a specialty of mine. Dogs can expect unlimited cuddles and walks to burn energy.
“Another wonderful visit at Dawn's house. She has so much fun with Dawn's daughter and their two dogs. It's a mini vacation for Maggie when she is with them. Couldn't find a better place for her when we are away.”

“Lajetta was a great dog sitter for our doodles! She kept us updated throughout the day with pictures & we could tell the doodles were being loved, cared for & comfortable.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Currently, I live with two of my own pets—a friendly and social labradoodle named Café and a sweet, independent black cat. Through caring for them, I’ve developed a strong routine that includes natural feeding, regular grooming, daily dental care, and lots of physical and mental stimulation. I walk Kafae several times a day, and we enjoy outdoor adventures like hikes, beach trips, and visits to local parks and dog-friendly spaces like Sandy River Delta. I cook his meals using natural, whole ingredients and keep up with monthly grooming, as well as daily ear and teeth cleaning. Beyond my own pets, I’ve provided pet care for friends, family, and neighbors—offering everything from overnight stays to drop-in visits and daily walks. I’m confident managing different temperaments, administering medication (oral/topical), and adjusting to special dietary or behavioral needs. I treat every pet with the same love, patience, and respect I give my own. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big deal—and I don’t take that lightly. My goal is always to make both you and your pet feel safe, understood, and cared for. Tips are much appreciated. I donate 10% of my income from each stay to support animals at the Oregon Humane Society. Pet care is a natural and essential part of my everyday life. I care for my own labradoodle, Café, and black cat every single day, so my routine is already built around providing consistent, loving, and attentive care. Each day includes multiple walks, feeding nutritious meals (I cook Café’s food using whole, natural ingredients), daily grooming habits like teeth and ear cleaning, and plenty of playtime and affection. I also make time for regular outings—whether it’s the beach, the Sunday River Delta, hiking trails, or the dog park—so staying active and keeping pets engaged is part of my lifestyle, not an add-on. When I’m caring for other pets, I simply fold them into this rhythm and adapt to their needs and preferences. I enjoy the structure and joy pets bring into my day, and I’m happy to adjust my schedule to ensure each pet gets the attention, care, and love they deserve. When caring for pets in my home, I treat them like part of the family. I provide a safe, clean, and cozy environment with plenty of attention and structure. Pets stay in a calm, pet-friendly space with my own friendly labradoodle, Café, and a quiet, respectful black cat. I follow each pet’s specific feeding, exercise, and medication schedule, and I include them in our daily routine—morning and evening walks, playtime, naps, and enrichment activities like fetch, hikes, or beach trips. I also provide daily updates and photos for peace of mind. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I aim to maintain their regular routine as closely as possible. I respect your space, keep it clean, and make sure your pet feels safe and secure in their familiar environment. I’m attentive to details—feeding, walking, administering medications, and making sure they get plenty of love and companionship. I keep communication open with daily updates, and I’m happy to handle extras like mail, light tidying, or plant care if needed. Whether your pet stays with me or I come to you, I bring patience, consistency, and genuine care to every visit.
“Sheung is a very trustworthy and kind person! Mochi was under great care. He went on an amazing walk under the cherry blossoms, he played outdoors and was no doubt a very happy dog when we picked him up. She’s also located very close to an enclosed dog park so that’s a bonus. Sheung is Number One!”

“arlo had so much fun playing in the huge yard and i felt confident that he was safe and well taken care of with allen. i got lots of pictures and videos throughout the day that assured me he was thriving :)”

“For our pup’s first doggy day care, Bryan took good care of him and helped out on short notice. He’s friendly, on time, and gave a full report on drop off. Will definitely book again.”

“Alex is Winston’s new bestie! Winston spent the day with Alex for daycare, and had the best time! She is so sweet, has such a peaceful, patience presence, and was so great with him. Her house and yard are a fabulous space for our buddies to hang and explore, and she was so communicative throughout the day. I highly recommend Alex and we will definitely be booking more of her time in the future! Thank you so much Alex!”

“Storm takes a bit of time to get comfortable in new environments with new people, but she seemed to settle in easily with Gil and Peaches! We are so thankful they are patient with her separation anxiety and welcome her on daycare days!”

About: With a lifetime of experience caring for animals with a wide spectrum of needs, it would be my sincerest pleasure to care for your furry love when you're in need of assistance. I have experience with cats, horses, small critters, and dogs of all sizes (I had a 130lb Great Pyrenees of my own for 9 years!), and have lots of experience with senior dog and puppy care. On sunny days we tend to spend a lot of time outside - hikes, camping, playing at the river. Please let me know your comfort level in your dog participating in such things with us so that we can adjust accordingly. I have experience and am comfortable with administering medications to dogs and cats. I'm a full time student, and my husband works from home. We feel really lucky to be in a position where we can take on Rover dogs and cats to add some furry joy to our lives. We have a tiny 4lb dog of our own, Rosemary, who is the sweetest, most gentle girl who loves the company of other dogs and loves to play. Your sweet furry loves will be very safe with me. Boarding: I will be home with your pet and available for potty breaks (and snuggles!) through their entire stay with me. I'm happy to accommodate whatever walking, potty, and meal schedule they're used to. We've got lots of comfy places to lounge, a clean dog bed to cozy up on, toys to play with, and limitless love to offer during their stay. Drop-In Visits and Dog Walks: During drop-in or walking visits, I'll attentively adhere to the schedule and routine that your pet is used to. House/Pet Sitting: During stays in your home while you're gone, my process would be similar to that which I've described above. My ultimate goal is to keep your pet as cozy and un-jarred as possible. Sticking to whatever schedule is laid out for me, I'll hang around to make sure that your pets are getting as much love and attention as they deserve during my stay, and I'll leave everything tidy and ready for you when you return home.
“Dash loves hanging out with Catherine (and Josh). We are so lucky to have a trustworthy pet sitter so near our home. We have already booked future stays.”

“Poppy received excellent care! She got plenty of attention and exercise and came home thoroughly relaxed and tired. A huge difference from other daycare experiences we’ve had where she comes home anxious and stressed.”

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. As a child I grew up raising hunting dogs. In my early teens I raised a Seeing eye dog, which included many training sessions. After that I bred A couple generations of Golden Retrievers. While living in Montana I worked with several breeds ranging from Komondors to Poodles and Bichon Frises. In the last 10 years I have been caring for smaller abused breeds. I cared for a senior abused long haired Chihuahua and now have a little Puggle named Ozzy he is my JOY! I took an early retirement, so I have plenty of time during the day or night to care for your furbaby. I will treat them like my own. I live in a apartment in Slabtown. Plenty of places to walk and parks are close by. Nice neighborhood with lots of trees and other dogs
“I can’t say enough positive things about this rover experience. First of all Michael + Cheryl helped me with my dog Ducky with very short notice which was such a huge help. They were communicative and kind and have a lovely property where I know ducky was very content. They sent me pictures and updates while he was there and I felt totally at ease. Given the fact that I was traveling and needed to find care for Ducky in an unfamiliar city, I couldn’t have found a better fit. Thank you!!”

“Annika and John were great with our pup. Their sweet dog Pepper was the perfect playmate too. No issues and quick responses. We’d definitely book with them again!”

“Tyson had the best day! Heath is kind, friendly and natural with dogs. They were very easy to schedule with and great communication. Tyson can’t wait to come back.”

“Barbara took great care of our dog! She took him for multiple walks and sent pictures. Kai was a happy boy when we picked him up and very relaxed. Great communication! Thank you! Cathy”

“Dillon is great! We had a last minute event and Dillon was able to help us out in a jam. He kept us in the loop with how our puppy was doing the whole time and sent pictures so we didn’t miss him too much. It was a very dog friendly space and we could tell that Dillon went above and beyond for the pups in his care.”

“Annika is fantastic. Our dog Wray, who suffers from separation anxiety, loves her and has stopped having accidents in the house since Annika has been walking her. She is extremely reliable and kind. Highly recommend!”

“Shannon is very communicative and took the time to do a meet and greet. She also was mindful of the heat and even went out of her way to bring a package in for me. Thanks Shannon!”

This allows me to give your pet my full attention in a calm, low-stress environment. I can adjust my daily schedule to match their routine, whether that means walks, feeding times, playtime, or downtime.

About: I've loved animals ever since I was a small kid. I grew up raising 3 rats, 3 cats, and a Great Pyrenees. I have experience walking neighborhood dogs, as well as taking care of hamsters and cats while their owners were on vacation. I currently have no pets due to my building's rules, so I'd take any excuse to help take care of a fluffy creature. Currently working a reduced amount with most of it being from home, so I have a lot of availability to care for your pets. Free/flexible most hours, besides evening on the weekends(and even then, I could potentially work something out with enough time). I enjoy long walks and exercise, and love playing with animals, so I'm your guy if your dog needs a long walk or an hour of nothing but fetch. I grew up walking a stubborn 100+ lb. dog, so I know how to control them if they get a little too excited sometimes.
“Had such a great experience with Young! He took direction very well and was communicative! It was our first time working with Young and he was so kind enough to come by a few days in advance to meet Yogi. He understood our goal on wanting to continue leash training with Yogi and was very attentive to that! I highly recommend and will definitely be utilizing Dissaya and Young’s services again!”

I suggest owner bring me their favorite toys, bed and enough food for the time. I have a very flexible schedule during the week and weekends. I am available for boarding, doggy day care, drop-in visits and dog walking services here in the Pearl, Slab Town, Goose Hollow, Downtown, East End and PSU areas of Portland Oregon. I often use essential oils to help pets with anxiety, to calm down and relax.
“I was so lucky to find Dillon to be our dog walker while I was taking care of the family dog. He is very experienced which was a huge help especially since Bogey (the dog) is a large pitbull. He was able to give me pointers which made my walks go much smoother as well. Dillon always responds to communications in a timely manner and he's a friendly and understanding person! I could tell he really loves dogs, and they love him. Should I need dog walking again I will not hesitate to reach out.”

About: Hi :) My name is Sof, I am a animal lover who recently moved to Portland & am looking to spend some time helping to walk and take care of your best four-legged friend(s)! I am well equipped to handle any pet in any sort of weather (or with any health needs), as I have years (13) of experience walking my own German Shepard, Thor, for hours around my hometown Chicago and have plenty of experience walking/taking care of other peoples pets, from young puppies to seniors and even the trouble-makers ;) I feel I have a special connection with animals & I would love the opportunity to develop a connection with and help care for yours. I like working with animals because they bring me joy & I feel I have the ability to help them, connect with them, and bring them joy! I started working with a long range of animals in 7th grade when I was voted to be the animal caretaker for the school's many animals. I would say my approach to caring is being patient and understanding of the animal's needs and wants. I'm a self employed artist, who definitely has free time to spare to look over and play with your pup! I love walking, so it makes it especially rewarding when I can have some company with me. I would be available on weekdays, during the day and evening. I know how to handle and care a variety of dogs, from young to senior. I know how to provide medication and can help focus on training if needed. Providing a stable, healthy environment is something I value deeply and bring forth to my care.
“Emily walked my pup in the middle of the day for 3 weeks and made it so easy. She came to meet basil before and was lovely. She was very communicative and an amazing walker. Highly recommend.”

“Taylor and their partner Olivia are wonderful people and dog sitters. They took such great care of Peanut and were super communicative. I truly had no time to worry about her because I regularly got photos and updates of how she was doing. I will definitely be booking with them again because I can trust they'll care for her well”

“Our dog didn't want to come home! I think she would've loving living with Lisa for the rest of he life which I think is the biggest compliment you can give a dog sitter.”

“One of my dogs had to go to the vet and was put on several medications the day before we left. Ron had no problem caring for him and making sure he received his medicine. He also kept me updated on how he was doing. Everything went great and the dogs came back happy and well cared for.”

“Chom Chom had a wonderful stay with Heath & Amy! They made sure he had plenty of time outside and lots of snuggles. Chom got a lot well with all the other pups and had a great time!”

“This was Reggie’s first time staying with Kris. It’s was pretty hot those 3 days and 2 nights but luckily Kris’ air conditioned home kept out hound cool and they played in the doggy pool to cool off during the day. We appreciated the photos and updates Kris provided. We would definitely recommend Kris.”

“Angelica watched my pup for an extended stay and she gave me frequent updates and pics. My dog came home happy from playing with all of his other dog friends while in her care. I can’t recommend her enough. Thank you for the excellent care!”

“Bryan is a gem with dogs. The first time Gilly stayed with Bryan, she was nervous and a bit on edge. Bryan calmed her and they ultimately had a successful time together. The second time I dropped Gilly for a long weekend, I was a bit apprehensive about how she’d react to being left again. The moment she saw Bryan, she was THRILLED and strutted away without so much as a glance back. She clearly feels at ease with him, which is so reassuring. Further, he’s extremely kind, responsive, and flexible. We will 1000% be reaching out to Bryan for future dog sitting needs!”

“Zach communicated and our dog enjoyed his time. It was a longer stay than usual and we felt our Doug was well taken care of and lived while we were gone. Would recommend him to others. He truly cares about the dogs under his care”

“My dog had an awesome time with Brittany and I would definitely seek her services out again. I have a German Shepard/cattle dog mix so she needs a lot of attention and playtime and Brittany handled her perfectly. She’s very communicative throughout the entire process.”

“Our older dog was taken care of wonderfully by this caring family. They easily managed his modified food prep and no-crate status. He came home relaxed and tired, with no signs of stress! We're happy to have found them for our short getaway!”

“I couldn’t be happier with Kimo’s service. I was nervous at first to leave my dog, Moon for 4 weeks but Kimo was wonderful at addressing any issues that Moon has had. He always tries to find the best way to make Moon feel right at home and update me with lots of photos and videos of Moon when i’m away. Couldn’t recommend him enough!”

“Lonnie was awesome and I’d recommend him to anybody looking to leave their pet with someone. Before we met, I wasn’t sure how I felt about letting our dog stay with somebody, just because we had just adopted him about a month ago and he was super energetic and could have potentially caused issues. Lonnie assured me he was up for it and I was right to put my trust in him. He communicated regularly and provided updates. Seamless experience, go with Lonnie if you need a dog sitter.”

About: I've taken care of all kinds of dogs since a young age and have recently adopted a Great Pyrenees mix that has taken many hours of training and desensitizing to the world due to his difficult prior life. I adore my interactions with dogs and will treat them as if they are my own. I am currently not working but will be going back to work part-time over the next couple months. Right now my schedule is open and I spend most my time with my dog at home or socializing/playing with him on a friend's property with many different types of dogs. I have a yard with a 4 foot fence lining one side, 6 foot along the rest and a two story house with a basement. My rescue dog gets along great with other dogs and would love to have the company. I have many toys and games for dogs that come over as well as a dog friendly neighborhood and parks to walk in.

“Jake took great care of my dog for a week on short notice. He's very flexible and responsive and his dog is super easy going with my dog. I've booked with him twice now, and plan on booking within in the future!”

“Tammy was ideal as a caregiver for our elderly cockapoo. She provided reassurance with her communication and we were confident that our dog was receiving loving attention at all times. Thank you Tammy for being so wonderful with Milo!”
