About: I have always loved dogs and they seem to love me too. I create a calm environment while also making sure they get the physical and mental stimulation that they need. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take regular walks with them throughout the day and very much enjoy the company. I have a fully fenced back yard and a safe, quiet neighborhood. About: I have been responsible for dogs ever since I was 10. I have raised four different dogs from when they were puppies to elderly. “Heather was a last minute life saver! I gifted my partner a pair of concert tickets six months prior as a Christmas present, and it was finally the day of the concert. However, I was at risk of missing the concert due to my dog, Chaos, having a big oral procedure 1.5 weeks prior that resulted in 20 teeth extracted and multiple sutures. Two of the sutures had come undone causing him to have a painful experience until they were able to be re-sutured (problem solved!) two days before the concert. I monitored Chaos’s recovery up until the day of the concert to make the final decision if I will stay home with him or attend the concert with my partner. Thankfully Chaos improved enough in the final 24 hours where I felt comfortable boarding him. When I called Chaos’s regular place of boarding (Pet Hotel at Petsmart) the morning of the concert, I understandably learned they are unable to accept pets with sutures due to policy. I opened Rover and began searching for a last minute sitter who had immediate availability, didn’t have more than one dog, and could provide extra care and attention to my recovering dog. That’s where I found Heather, who offered to set Chaos up in a pen in the kitchen so he could have his own space to chill, and overall had a wonderful vibe of assuring me he will be in good hands. An hour later, I dropped Chaos off with Heather and was scheduled to pick him up at 11:30pm that night. She sent us updates including a photo of him relaxing in the shade in her backyard, drunk from his pain meds. Exiting the concert venue and getting on the MAX took longer than expected due to the large crowds, resulting in us running late and pushing the pick up time from 11:30pm to 12:10am. I felt guilt and shame typing that message since it was already late in the night but Heather was super cool about it! When we picked Chaos up, he was very relaxed and could tell he had a wonderful experience hanging out with Heather and her family. Although I checked my phone frequently during the concert, I was never worried about Chaos and was able to fully be present and enjoy the experience with my partner, all thanks to Heather! Heather is amazing, understanding, has a wealth of knowledge & experience with dogs, and we happily recommend her to anyone who is in need of her services!”
About: I love animals and currently have one 15 lb pit terrier mix and an American short hair cat. My family is easy going on pet rules and treat animals as members of the family (no feeding from the table). We live in a pet friendly community with good lighting and many dog potty break stops and stations. Our house is 2 stories with space to put a crate in a secluded place for dogs who need quiet time. On weekends I would love to take them to dog parks (if they are comfortable with that) or on hikes (if they are people friendly). Plus I love to take and send photos! My schedule is very open. About: I’ve had my own animals and have helped friends and family by pet sitting or even going to just walk them or feed them. I am also okay with brushing and bathing, etc., as asked if needed. I am typically available all day on the weekends and most Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am in grad school for the next two years in Forest Grove and classes occur around 9am-4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I may have time for quick home visits for potty breaks during lunch on these days, if needed. I am happy to spend quiet time with pets who are more mellow, or to spend time playing or walking with energetic, younger dogs if that suits them best. I typically observe the dog's behavior and notes from the owner when deciding what to do- are they looking tired and calm? Are they a bit riled up and could use a playtime or a walk? I will follow any instructions left by the owners, as well. If there is anything specific or special you'd like me to do for your pets, just let me know!
About: My house is a zoo. I currently have two dogs and three cats. I'm used to feeding everyone, walking them, cleaning up after them, and sharing all the love! One of my dogs is 85 pounds, and the other is 15, so I'm used to the pulling and excitement! You can trust me to provide the best care to your fur babies! I currently have a varying schedule where I either work a typical 9-5 or a 12-10. I'm available whenever needed and usually have weekdays off and some weekends.
