About: TLDR - I have experience with many types of pets with varying needs. I have two kids (ages 12 and 14) and many other creatures in the home. I am available for drops ins and walks, but longer term engagements would have to be at my home. I have a fully fenced yard and can welcome a dog to come stay in my home. I have previous obedience training experience and have taken three dogs to state for obedience competition. From cats needing injections to highly reactive dogs neesing a calm presence, I have expertly cared for them all. I have two daughters, aged 12 and 14, who have lived their life around pets of all sorts and love to come with me when I am visiting a dog or cat. If you are not comfortable having them in your home, or your pet is not comfortable with kids, that is totally understandable. I am self-employed, so my schedule is flexible to allow to fit pet care into my schedule. I have a car so I am able to travel outside of my immediate neighborhood for pet care or house sitting. In my own home I have a fully fenced yard and space to run around. When I am out of the home I kennel my own dog, who has anxiety and that helps her feel more secure. About: I've grown up around Labradors my whole life. Right now I have a yellow lab named Jasmine. She's a very high energy 10 year old dog. She's not the type of lab who likes to play fetch or even go into water. Which I feel is quite odd. The funny thing about Jasmine, she sounds like a monkey at times when she wants to come in the house. A little about me- I love being out in nature. My favorite place to walk is the beautiful Sherwood parks. I feel dog walking could be a lot of fun on my off season of my main job which is school photography. About: I've lived my whole life around pets, specifically cats and dogs. My family and friends alike all relied on me for pet sitting care which included regular dog walking and extended, overnight stays. I'm currently not working and only going to school. When I do get a job, it will only be part-time and I'll update my schedule accordingly. As of right now, I have ample time for frequent check-in's and overnight stays, especially in Yamhill County. I unfortunately do not offer pet care at my personal home, but am willing to stay overnight at client's homes. I believe in leaving places better than I found them, AKA no trace left behind!
“My husband and I met Alisha in October for a meet and greet with Milo, our mixed yellow lab and golden retriever. The meeting was for an upcoming trip during the Christmas holidays. We instantly liked her, she was on time when she came, she was professional, she bonded right away with Milo. Soon after I booked a three day walk in November just to reconnect again with her. It was for a 30 minute walk and again she was on time and I love the fact that I get a text and a pic of the walk. Tomorrow will be the start of a 13 day house sitting and we feel confident about the whole thing knowing that Milo will not be neglected. We’re glad we came across her at Rover. About: I’ve been an animal person since I can remember! From dreaming of being a vet to owning dogs, cats, horses! I have 2 dogs of my own and they get along great with other dogs! My schedule is very flexible! Pets are like family so caring for your pet is a top priority for me and will make sure you are in the loop too! About: Having grown up with both a Chihuahua and Australian Cattle Dogs, I am well-versed in dogs that need high-energy play time versus those that just need to get their zoomies out! Currently, I am pet & house sitting full-time as I study for taking the LSAT this winter, so as long as you have wifi, I am able to work on my laptop and take care of any animals. In short, I am an animal lover through and through, who has to pet any dog or cat I see and have a genuine interest in caring for and loving your special furry friend 🐾 I am currently in-between jobs as I am studying for my LSAT for law school so my schedule is very flexible right now! I have a car and am able to drive so that is not a problem. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I am very aware that I am a guest in the home and act accordingly. These days, privacy is important and I pride myself on protecting that for the client in addition to caring for the pet(s). When interacting with pet(s), I like to go at their pace in their home, respecting their boundaries, and gaining their trust. About: Ive had dogs my entire life. Ive taken care of dogs of all ages, size, and temperaments. I currently have an elderly blind chihuahua, and a corgi mix who is reactive. I recently left my job of 4 years due to lack of proper management. Im taking classes through Chemeketa but my schedule is very flexible. It’s important that all animals feel safe and respected around me. I’m not easily startled by reactive animals, all it takes is a little time to grow comfort.
About: I have been an animal lover since a young age, and have been caring for dogs since 2011. I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, and all ages in between. I have experience in training my own dogs and in practicing commands as asked when puppy-sitting. I've even trained my cat to give high-fives! I also have experience in administering medication, both oral meds as well as eyedrops. Our 14 year old labradoodle gets eyedrops twice daily, which I administer. I bond easily with animals and love dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes! I love getting to know animals, and have a knack for bonding with anxious, shy animals. I am also okay with brushing and bathing, etc., as asked if needed. I am typically available all day on the weekends and most Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am in grad school for the next two years in Forest Grove and classes occur around 9am-4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I may have time for quick home visits for potty breaks during lunch on these days, if needed. I am happy to spend quiet time with pets who are more mellow, or to spend time playing or walking with energetic, younger dogs if that suits them best. I typically observe the dog's behavior and notes from the owner when deciding what to do- are they looking tired and calm? Are they a bit riled up and could use a playtime or a walk? I will follow any instructions left by the owners, as well. If there is anything specific or special you'd like me to do for your pets, just let me know!
About: i’ve had animals of all kinds of entire life and i couldn’t love it more. Family members and neighbors have trusted me to feed, bathe, walk, and snuggle with there fur babies. i’m currently still in high school so i will have plenty of time to care for your animals. I finish school at 12:40 so anytime after 1 is great for anything and weekends i am always free. Currently in my home i have a kitten who is an only inside cat, but i grew up with a pitbull and two very large labs so if needed to be crated i can do that.
About: Lucky enough to grow up on a farm, my family constantly was fostering pups from birth, senior dogs and raising our own! Responsibility was an extremely important value to learn growing up, since I was young Iv personally learned bottle feeding, administering oral medication and training for not only dogs but farm animals too! Between my two parents households and my own adulthood I have experienced raising pits, Staffordshire bull terriers, a German shepherd, a Great Pyrenees a Weimaraner and a springer spaniel plus temporarily fostering more breeds! Although iv had responsibility for many animals at once my love and gentle care was NEVER a second priority, I love my animals like children and I know how important they are to you too! Mon-wed I clean houses for 4-8 hours a day. There is always time in between houses perfect for a quick walk or check in. Fri -sun I’m a waitress and both jobs I’m always off and in newberg before 5 pm, perfect for over nights or evening play dates. As an early bird I’m always available before 8 am Mon-wed. Occasionally I have a weekday or a Saturday off where I can dedicate my whole day. With many years of home training experience I can ensure that strategic walking is in place to keep your dog close and manageable in public, I’m familiar with commands and trigger words and I don’t mind tricking your pup with a sweet treat if needed and requested ;) familiar with crating, pull collars and administering oral medication!
