“Barbara is a really warm person who my dog took a shine to right away. I was very comfortable leaving my little buddy with her and it sounds like they had a great time 🙂”

“Allison was really easy to work with. Her and her family took good care of my dog and responded timely with updates when I checked in. I would gladly work with her again in the future.”

“We still cannot get over how amazing Saawan and Kangna are! We’ve never felt more comfortable leaving Piggy with anyone ever. The frequent updates and pictures we received were amazing, they went above and beyond, and we felt so reassured that Piggy was in good hands. Honestly, we’re a little hesitant to leave this review, because we want them all to ourself lol, but they are such incredible sitters, we couldn’t recommend them more!”

“Yvonne and Sam are great dog sitters! Our dog, Coco, is reactive, but she did well in their company. We are thankful for Yvonne’s daily updates and photos, which helped put us at ease.”

“Manisha and her family took such amazing care of our wild lab! They took her in like family and spoiled her with exercise and snuggles! I got many photo and video updates throughout the day, so I always had peace of mind. She also is so friendly and sent fun captions with the photos that made us smile. Your pet will be in the best hands with Manisha! ❤️”

“Ron is the first non-Shiba-breeder person who we boarded our Shiba boy with, and Tanuki was well taken care of by Ron! Emma and Ron were able to loosen up Tanuki after an evening, and Tanuki really appreciated being able to lounge on furniture and beds. Being worried parents, we were comforted by Ron’s regular updates on our boy. We’re all very happy to have Ron to send Tanuki to for short trips!”

“Hayley and Graham were excellent hosts for our 8 year old golden retriever! We got daily updates with pictures of all the fun he was having. Would definitely recommend them, and will be booking with them again in the future!”

“It was our first time boarding our dogs, one of which has separation anxiety. Mersal was amazing— very involved with the pups, taking them on walks and playing fetch. We received frequent updates/photos, allowing us to feel at ease throughout their stay. She will definitely be our go-to sitter in the future!”

“Katie was fantastic. This was a great first time user experience. During the meet and greet, Katie's easygoing attitude made me comfortable with leaving my fairly new adopted dog in her care. The fact that she showed a clear understanding of hound dog behavior was the icing on the cake. She was very flexible with my schedule change on drop off and pickup. She went above and beyond by letting me pick my doggo up at a really late hour of the day. Her quick pics and updates on Chloe during her stay was just right. Chloe was very happy with her experience and we will definitely use Katie in the future! Thank you for taking care of Chloe!”

“Jill was great! Cannoli had a blast and made some new friends. He was so tired from all of the fun he had. Communication was great and drop off and pick up went smoothly. Cannoli is excited about his next stay with Jill :)”

“Alexis and Jacob took excellent care of our dog, including addressing some of its medication needs. We felt so peaceful knowing Brodie was cared for and will definitely use them again.”

“We will always bring our fur baby, Luna, to Aleisha & family. She’s always so excited to see them & happy when we pick her up. We love all the photos they send & communication is always great. Lunas home away from home. 🥰”

“Kristen was incredible with our dog this week! Her experience with herding breeds really showed; she understood exactly how to handle that unique energy and made our pup feel right at home. She was so friendly and accommodating with our schedule, and the frequent photo updates and great communication kept us totally at ease. It’s a huge relief finding a sitter you can trust completely. Highly recommend!”

“This family took great care of our dog and hamster, I highly recommend. I received pictures throughout our time away and updates on how the animals were doing. I will contact them for our next vacation away from home.”

“So happy to have come across Jennifer and Eric before boarding our pup. Seeing photos of him snuggling their kids and knowing he was being loved on all week gave us so much peace of mind while we were on vacation. Thank you guys so much!”

“Heather was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Ponyo! She’s a sensitive and a bit (read:very) quirky pup, and I was anxious to leave Ponyo solo with a sitter for the first time after losing her brother earlier this year. Heather was communicative and attuned to Ponyo’s methods of communication. She came back better and happier than we left her. Thank you, Heather!!!”

“Sharon gave our twelve year old Bennett all the love and care he deserves (of course we think he does) plus knowing that we had not left on vacation for years kept in touch with us frequently enough we knew he was doing fine. We would not hesitate to use her again. Highly recommend.”

“Andrea deserve to be a star sitter :) she took very great care London, took pictures and communicated with and she was quick to respond too. London felt very comfortable with her and her home right away. I can tell London was enjoying he time with Andrea. Thank again for everything.”

“We appreciated how well Mary Anne took care of Bunny and Romeo while we were gone! Especially given that we just moved to the area and things were pretty hectic in our home. She was communicative, punctual and gave our little Romeo oral medications as needed. We’d be thrilled for her to watch them again.”

“Absolutely love Rachel. Would not have been able to go on vacation without her. Loved getting updates from her every day and hearing and seeing how the kitties were doing. I love knowing there’s someone I trust that can look in on them!”

“Samantha took great care of the girls. And we are impressed that even our “introvert” came out for pets. Thank you for the peace of mind in knowing that the girls were so well cared for and got to watch the birdies outside.”

About: I have taken care of and grown up with cats all my life. I have never not lived with a cat since I can remember. I am great at noticing body language and understanding what steps I need to take to make sure your cat feels loved and cared for
“Jessica quickly made friends with my persnickety, shy cat and they are now best buddies. She was able to get some great pictures. I would highly recommend Jessica as responsible, easy to work with, and great with cats..”

“Gretchen did daily check ins with pictures. We really appreciated knowing she was checking in on our cats. She was reliable and consistent. We definitely recommend her.”

“This is the third time Odalis has helped us out with our two cats. She’s very responsive, provides photos of each cat every day, and even helped with mail and garbage takeout. She’s definitely our go to Cat Sitter and we appreciate knowing she’s part of Rover.com.”

“This was our first time hiring a pet sitter, let alone using Rover. We had considered hiring two other sitters previously, but decided against it because of poor communication or no shows. We found Brittaney and it was immediately a breath of fresh air. 🙏 She responded quickly, we were able to book with her last minute, she communicated in friendly, caring, and professional manner. While we were away, she sent us all kinds of pictures, spent time really trying to bond with our cats, and truly made us feel like they were in great hands. Not only is Brittaney excellent at what she does, but you can truly tell she has a passion for loving animals. I’d very much hire Brittaney again, and plan on it when the need arises. 🙏🙏”

“Susan & Ian did great with my two cats and my apartment while I was away from home for a couple of weeks. They followed my written instructions perfectly and my cats did not seem attention-deprived when I returned home. Highly recommend them!”

“Rie is AMAZING!!! I’d give her ten stars if I could! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My kitten is still a baby and leaving him for a week was a scary prospect. After meeting Rie, I felt so much better about the whole thing! She is super communicative, so friendly & quick to respond. She eased my mind completely while I was away on vacation. Piggy Magic is an anxious cat (with an anxious mama!) and she made him feel right at home, with his own big room & his own big bed! He even had a new best cat friend to play with, which he seemed to love! He came home relaxed and happy and healthy, which was such a relief. Rie asked all the right questions before taking him in, and sent loads of pictures along with updates while I was away, which I sincerely appreciated and didn’t know I needed until I got them. All in all, I would highly, highly recommend hiring her for boarding any of your animals, as she is wonderful at what she does and clearly shows a lot of love to the pets in her care. Thank you Rie, from me and Piggy Magic!!! 😄🐷 we’ll be contacting you again in the future!!!”

“Camille and her daughter did great with my two cats, one of whom is a kitten. They’re both sweet cats, but Duvalin can be shy and they were still able to coax her out of her shell for some playtime. We did not even do a meet & greet in person beforehand, but Camille followed my written instructions perfectly.”

“Second time we've used Jurick, he was amazing just like the first time! Our cat Sunday loves it when he comes to take care of him. This time when we got home he stared at the door behind us wondering if Jurick was there too or if it was only us! 11/10, thanks Jurick!”

“Katie took such good care of my cat, Dolly, while I was away for 10 days. She is very dependable and went above and beyond for me while I asked her to check on things while I was gone. Dolly really warmed up to Katie. I will definitely use her again!”

“Madeline is a wonderful sitter and we're so happy to have found her for our cat Phoebe! She is kind, patient, communicative, and reliable. Phoebe warmed up to her immediately and it was so nice knowing that she was in good hands with good company while were were away! Madeline goes out of her way to make our sitting experience convenient and she always arrives on time. She also has great instincts, keeping an eye on Phoebe's food intake and taking smart steps to encourage her appetite without being asked. We love having Madeline as our sitter and will book her again and again!”

About: My adult life has blessed me with the love of cats. I came late into life of my first can and learned how truly special the bond of a cat was. I am experience in elder cat care and understand that every cat has a mind of its own. My current 3 cats have continued to teach my that calmness is what makes a cat home functional. My role is to provide your cat the same level of calmness they would have when you are home.

“Maya was so sweet and patient with our nutty dogs. They were obviously well cared for, and she kept us up to date every day with their activities and meals. I highly recommend Maya as a dog sitter!”

About: Absolutely love cats! I've been taking care of cats since childhood starting with check-ins for my neighbors when they would go on vacations. ♡ I have two of my own kitties that get all the love and affection, I'm very experienced with cat language and their need for just the right mix of independence and love.

“I needed day care services for the last 3 weeks. Susan & Ian were amazing! I requested dog pickup and drop off. I work 12 hrs a day and when I got home I came home to a tired and happy dog. It was like Christmas. I got pictures and video updates thought the day and report card at end of day. Kuka, my dog, loves their Rudy. They became buddies. I cant recommend them high enough!! Kuka went to doggie day care in the past and it always stressed her out. We tired 4 different places. She is super duper happy with Susan and family.”

About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.
“I am very happy with Marla & Keith, because Cassie received a lot of one-on-one attention. Marla is an expert at making a new dog (Cassie) feel at home in a new environment. Cassie was welcomed on walks with the other dogs - all of them much bigger than she is. And she got lap time too. The photos were a nice bonus. 😊”

“Wow, Jami was wonderful and you can really tell that she is an animal lover! She went above and beyond to make sure Duckie was taken care of at daycare. She even took him to the dog park so that he could run and play with the other dogs. He was sleepy and happy when I picked him up. I got adorable photos and video updates throughout the day as well. 10/10 recommend!”

“I normally stress out about leaving my dog with someone else, but after our meet and greet, I was actually excited about leaving my dog with Mersal and Cora. He doesn’t get many opportunities to play with other dogs. He had the best time ever with Mersal and Cora. He didn’t want to leave. I think I’ll be reserving more time just for his happiness to be with Mersal and Cora.”

“This was our first doggy daycare experience and everything went great! The yard is great for the dogs to play and I felt very comfortable leaving her with Angelica. I was given text and picture updates, and could tell my pup was having the best day! We will be back for sure and are so thankful! 😄”

“While we were hesitant at first to leave our 4-month-old lab at doggy daycare. Kirsten has been great taking care of Atticus. She has always been responsive and gives updates and photos throughout his stay. Atticus loves it there and is always excited to be dropped off.”

“Alexis and Jacob watched Baja for the first time and it was a total success! Baja is very sweet but can be a handful and so we were pretty picky about who could take the reins after her last sitter moved. Based on the friendliness, competence, reliability, and great communication we experienced with Alexis and Jacob, we’re thrilled to have a new loving and safe place for Baja to stay when we’re gone.”

About: Your dog should come home relaxed, not relieved it’s over. Some dogs want to come along on the good stuff with us: walks through Orenco Woods, hikes in the highlands, lazy afternoons at my sister’s duck farm. Others want a quiet couch and someone to sit with them, and that’s just as welcome. A year of professional sitting with consistent five-star reviews, and I’ve cared for everyone from a few-month-old puppy to a senior with arthritis. I take a maximum of two dog families at a time, so your dog gets real attention instead of a spot in a pack. No bite histories. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so dogs aren’t stuck alone for long stretches. Mornings start with yard time and breakfast. Midday is a walk or quiet rest, depending on what your dog wants. Evenings flex to the dog: longer walks and outings for the active ones, couch time for the dogs who’d rather decompress. You’ll get daily photos and videos so you can see how they’re actually doing. Plenty of dog gates and separation infrastructure means dogs and kids have their own space when needed, and new dogs can decompress before meeting my resident dogs. I do slow introductions before any overnight stay and keep food and medications on a clear schedule. Fully fenced backyard, single-story home, no stairs to navigate. Crates available if your dog prefers one. Your dog stays in a real household with people who actually want them there.
About: I’m Heather — dog trainer, pup snuggler, and your dog’s new best friend. With 10 years of experience, your furry one will be safe, loved, and spoiled like they’re my own! 🐶✨ I’m home about 75% of the time, and if I’m out, there’s a good chance your pup is right there with me doing dog stuff — hikes, walks, or fun little adventures. Your dog will enjoy a family-friendly, cozy environment where safety, comfort, and fun come first. Your dog will enjoy: A calm, loving home environment with plenty of snuggles and attention Structured playtime, rest time, and enrichment throughout the day Positive training and gentle guidance (I’m a professional trainer with 10 years of experience!) A safe, clean space — and of course, lots of photos and updates so you always know how your pup is doing ❤️Whether your dog is a social butterfly, a shy soul, or a little grumpy on occasion, I meet them where they’re at and make sure they feel secure and loved. Your dog’s well-being is always my #1 priority.

“The perfect experience for an old dog with some extra medical needs! Peter was responsive, flexible and so caring with my boy! During pick up, it was clear how much Guinness enjoyed his time as he came out to say hello to me and then promptly turned around to try and go back into Peter’s house which is pretty much the best sign you can get! So happy to have a great option for daycare and boarding!”

“Saawan and Kangna are wonderful to work with! We loved getting all the pictures and the activity details. Chloe was so happy with them, and settled down quicker than she’s settled elsewhere. Thank you!”

“Haley and Graham S are the most caring, sensitive and excellent daycare provider and boarder for my seven year-old black Labrador. They are attentive to her needs, well organized, and have an excellent environment for my dog to play with other dogs. I am so pleased with the care that my dog receives twice per week and boarding as needed! I receive a report card and a photo for each visit-it is all the special touches that make these Rover providers exceptional!”
“Angie was great. Very patient and knowledgeable. A positive new experience for our seperation-anxious pup that strange new situations can be ok. And Chloe is ridiculously calm and adorable!”

“So happy with Jujus stay with Allison and her husband over the weekend. Juju loved playing fetch with their children in the backyard and had a great time and I received multiple pictures and updates during the stay. Absolutely will use Allison again. Thanks!”

“Dottie is a dog guru! Keisha stays with Dottie at least twice a week and is completely at home which is saying a lot for a pup with anxiety. Dottie has tons of experience and I never have to worry that my old pup is in the best hands. Everyday the dogs get a lovely walk through the park next door; and if it's raining, Dottie has renovated her garage into a temperature controlled doggie play space and lounge. I wish I got to stay somewhere as nice! No doubt in my mind, with Dottie my dog is spoiled.”

“My dogs had an amazing time with Michael and Cindy! They got lots of exercise and love and snuggles. I felt completely at ease knowing they were being taken care of while I was away. The dogs even got baths and massages, and came home all fresh and clean. :) So, so, so happy with my experience.”

About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

“My dog is reactive to other dogs and people so when Bryanna took him for a walk I was apprehensive. I was pleasantly surprised she handled him with such grace and my dog got the long, happy walk he so desperately needs. I will be hiring her again.”

About: I love animals so dearly but I have none of my own :( let me care for yours as I have other animals for years! I work online remotely, and I take mostly online college classes. I have a reliable way of transportation and I’m available pretty much all the time! I can feed pets, give them minor medication, take them on walks and to dog parks. I love to play with animals and I can assure your pet to have a great time!
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, from growing up with family dogs to caring for my own as an adult. I currently have a very active dog who I run with regularly and play fetch with almost every day, so I’m very comfortable handling high-energy dogs and making sure they get the exercise and mental stimulation they need. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I work remotely. When I’m house sitting, I’m able to stay with your dog for most, if not all of the day, so they won’t be left alone for long periods of time. I can provide regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day, not just morning and evening visits. If your dog needs to go outside more frequently, has separation anxiety, or simply enjoys having someone nearby, I can easily accommodate that while working from your home. I also plan my schedule around feeding times, exercise, and maintaining your dog’s normal routine. My goal is to keep their day as familiar and low-stress as possible while you’re away, with plenty of attention and activity built in. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep everything as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow feeding schedules, walk routines, medication instructions (if needed), and any house rules you have so your pet feels comfortable and secure in their own environment. Throughout the stay I provide regular walks, playtime, and companionship, and I pay attention to behavior, appetite, and energy levels so I can quickly notice if anything seems off. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I will treat your home with respect; I keep things clean, tidy, and organized, bring in packages or mail if requested, and make sure food, water, and potty areas are maintained. My goal is for you to return to a happy pet and a home exactly as you left it.
“Corey has provided amazing services for my dog, Remington. I can always count on her as she is always reliable. She always has great communication skills and always updates me about Remington as needed. She’s definitely compassionate towards animals and I would recommend her for anyone needing services in the future. Also if you book with her she will send you super cute pictures of your animals on their walk!”

About: I LOVE DOGS!! I've taken care of pets since I was 14 and love taking them on adventures or relaxing with them! I am a current college student who is home during breaks and weekends! I am currently residing with my parents during university breaks and, as such, am unable to provide in-home pet care at my own residence. However, I am available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting at clients’ homes. To ensure a safe, trustworthy, and comfortable experience, I schedule a meet-and-greet with each client and their pet prior to the start of services. This allows us to discuss expectations, address any questions, and establish a solid foundation for care. I also encourage clients to review the Rover Community Guidelines so they are fully informed about the process and policies. Throughout the booking, I maintain clear and consistent communication! I provide updates and photos to keep clients informed about how their pet is doing. I know I love to receive updates on my puppy while I’m away! I also reach out if anything arises that requires their input. After the booking, I follow up to ensure that the care I provided met their expectations.

“Andrea deserve to be a star sitter :) she took very great care London, took pictures and communicated with and she was quick to respond too. London felt very comfortable with her and her home right away. I can tell London was enjoying he time with Andrea. Thank again for everything.”

“Melani was great taking care of CalCal my goldendoodle. We met up beforehand to make sure my dog would get along with her dog. She sent many photos during the boarding. Would use her again; thanks Melani!”

About: My life has been full of dogs of different sizes and temperaments. I have managed aggressive Rottweilers and carried tired English bulldogs. What dogs provide is unadulterated love and my goal is to make sure that your dog gets a tailored experience. Safety is key and flexibility is my mantra, nothing matters more than each pet getting the fullest out of their time with me. Monday through Thursday I am flexible to manage walks from 11-1 and full attention to my pets after 4pm. Friday through Sunday I am completely open to provide care. Care is tailored to each pet based on information provided by their owner. I will control as many factors as I can such as cleanliness, eyes on play, and proper walking distends from unknown animals. I treat every interaction as a fresh start and make sure animals in my care get the attention the need and deserve.

“My Fluffy was well taken care of and I was sent pictures while away. I love that Peter is at home all day so my dog that is used to bring with me isn't alone all day.”

“Emma is truly wonderful! She’s kind, friendly, and took such great care of my dog. Communication was always easy, and she was flexible with scheduling, which made the whole experience stress free. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in excellent hands. I’ve booked with Emma multiple times now, and every experience has been seamless and positive. Thank you, Emma; I really appreciate you!”

“This was Muff’s third—and at two weeks, by far longest—stay with Barbara. When Muff and I arrived for the drop-off, Muff was thrilled to see Barbara, which is always a good sign. The stay went very well, and Barbara sent a ton of photos. Highly recommended!”
