We were coming from out of town and headed to the beach but visited family for a couple days who doesn’t like dogs in the house, so we needed to find a place for our dog for a couple days. Nadine sent pictures everyday to let us know how Milly is doing. She has an amazing backyard and her pets were very friendly with her. Milly isn’t crate trained and Nadine was more than willing to accommodate that and let her sleep in the bed. Will definitely use her again when we come to town!”

About: I’ve been rescuing animals for over 22 years-I’ve cared for big, slobbery Rottweilers to tiny, judgmental cats, fish who pretend not to notice me, and guinea pigs that somehow eat like linebackers. I’ve handled rabbits with attitude, a special needs Yorkie who runs the house, and our Texas rescue Lucy—who I’m pretty sure thinks she rescued me. I have a designated bedroom with a ring camera just for my furry friends! We can keep the pets isolated in their own space the entire time, or they can have free roaming of the house. Options for those pets who need less sensory and more quiet and privacy. I work full-time at a hospital Monday through Friday, so my availability for more hands-on, all-day care is best on weekends. During the week, I’m still happy to offer overnight stays, I just like to mention that-because on weekdays, there may be up to an eight-hour stretch without potty breaks while I’m at work. I live in a fantastic walking neighborhood and can happily meet you in yours or bring them to mine. Can never get too much exercise in! Plus, my big fully fenced in yard is at their disposal.

I grew up with a chow/black lab/border collie mix named Sam who was my constant companion and the reason I adore dogs. In my early twenties I fostered dogs and learned how different their needs can be. So, what am I here for? To give your dog care and attention while you are on a weekend trip, work trip, or traveling for the 5th wedding you have been to this year. I can also provide consistent walks or check-ins. Want your dog to get in shape? I’ll take them for a run. Want them to be more social? I’ll take them to the park. Need them to burn off energy? I’m happy to throw the ball, so when you get home they’re ready for a nap. Have an older dog who just needs to stretch their legs? I’ll take them around the block a couple times with breaks and belly rubs. I frequently walked my neighbor’s mastiff mix, so no worries if your pup is more like a horse, I got it covered. I have two friendly dogs of my own. If you’re boarding, extra points for having a young puppy who likes to play. Peaches may be an old lady but she loooves to play with little ones and she is very gentle and patient. Also, I am detail oriented. If your dog needs medication, ear drops, or bandage changes - I can do that. If they have triggers or training methods you are using please let me know! I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I have two dogs who are dog friendly. I have a fenced back yard and a park nearby that’s great for taking dogs for a longer walk. The way to provide the best pet care is to listen to pet owners and take their advice and requests seriously. I try to always understand the reason and details. For example when someone says - don't give him too much water. I ask - how much is too much, will he drink it all at once and pee in the house, will he drink it too fast and throw up, does he only drink too much after exercise or eating etc. the details are what keeps pets safe.
About: I have compassion and am understanding for animals that is hard to put in to words. I carry empathy towards all living things. I have had several dogs of my own and know how much it means to have someone you can rely on to care for them when you’re away. I am currently at home full time and don’t have plans on that changing anytime soon. I am able to work around your schedule and as needed. I have a few appointments a week but they are only one hour at a time. The rest of my time is free. I tend to take my two dogs to the park every day to play ball or run around (depending on weather sometimes). I would love to bring yours along as well. My dogs are very friendly and know how to give your pets their own space when needed. Please keep in mind that if you need a house/pet sitter, my two dogs would have to come with me as I am single and don’t have anyone to care for them. They are great with other dogs and cats. Fully potty chained. No chewing. Keeping safe distance from other animals, always leashed, never left at home alone, reassurance to help them feel safe in the new environment, treats, nap.
