“Review is for cat boarding. That sounds like a sport but you get the idea - my cats stayed with Kaelin, who had generous availability on short term notice. 2 cats, 6 nights, 0 problems. Kaelin is an absolute gem. Pre-stay she held a call to learn the specific needs of my cats and throughout their stay she picked up on components of their personalities I didn't even think to share. One of my girls is considerably shyer than the other, but Kaelin made consistent and ultimately successful efforts to engage each cat in a manner comfortable for them. Her patience calmed my shyer cat and her energy and thoughtfulness invigorated my more excitable/curious cat - she picked up on beneficial ways to interact with each of them that could not have been covered alone by what I shared with her pre-stay. Kaelin is clearly someone who has a profound understanding of and deep appreciation for animals, and she takes seriously how much they mean to us, her customers. Kaelin paid incredible attention to detail, was able to tailor every aspect of their stay in ways beyond what I requested, and she provided consistent updates with photos and videos of the two, often focusing on activities she intuited that I would be wondering about (How is shy Summer utilizing the space and responding to interaction? How is playful Autumn being allowed to explore and see outside? etc.). Through the way she was engaging with my girls and seeing how they, in turn, responded to her, it is so clear that Kaelin approaches her work with immense passion and care. It put me at ease throughout my entire trip, and it was clearly an excellent experience for my girls as well. Cannot recommend highly enough, will absolutely be a return customer.”

About: As you consider if you want to trust your “fur-baby” to us, you should know that my wife Kathy and I have been involved with dogs for more than 40 years. We give cuddles and pets as needed and encourage our dogs to be friendly to all that visit. Our first dog and the subsequent 6 dogs we have kept as family members were all rescue dogs. We have experience with Border Collies, Corgis, Mixed Breeds, German Wired-Haired Pointer and American Brittany dogs. We have been active in the American Brittany Rescue organization since 2011 having placed more than 16 dogs in forever homes including 4 Brittanys that we have kept for our family. While we have crate-trained our dogs when they first came to our home, typically once they show that they can use the doggie door to go outside, we have given them free roam of the house and yard except for bedrooms. We keep the crate available when a dog wants to isolate themselves or they need a timeout. We are happy to give quiet time to the dogs in the middle of the afternoon especially after a snack and/or a walk. Our home has a doggie door that can accommodate a large dog and that gives the dogs freedom to go outside on their own. Finally, we have boarded and watched over our children’s dogs for many years when we lived in CA. We would be happy to board and walk your dog and give you the peace of mind that we have enough experience and temperament to insure your dog has a good time at our house. My wife and I are home full time as we are both retired. While we enjoy our walks and our gym time, we have plenty of time to watch over and play with your dog. We have a fenced yard and 2 friendly dogs (age 7 & 10) to keep your fur baby company. We can crate your dog if needed and would prefer that your dog be able to take themselves into the yard to go potty once they learn to use the doggie door.

About: I have done pet sitting for over 5 years which include boarding, housesitting and dog walking. I have also cared for cats, chickens, exotic birds and baby goats (bottle fed). I have cared for elderly pets, seizure pets and have no problem with giving medications. ****If you are requesting housesitting, I do have a small easy-going chill dog that likes to come with me if you are ok with that. He gets along with all dogs and cats alike. I do request that we have a meet and greet prior so as to ensure you are comfortable with me in your home and with your pets. I work remotely during the day. So I would be with your pet(s) for the majority of the day. They would only be left alone a few hours on occasion for errands/appointments and such. So they would get plenty of potty breaks, love and attention while you are away. I will care for you pet(s) per your instructions. Your pets health and diet are very important to me, so I will always take as much info or instruction as you wish to give me. We have two dogs and a cat at home, all of which are friendly towards other animals, so I will ask that your pet plays nice, with them, as well! Animals who are tolerant/non-aggressive but need space are more than welcome to remain in a quiet room unbothered by our furry family members. We have a loft area where they can be completely separated if need be! They will, however, cross paths with the other dogs and cat when walked or let out in the fenced yard.

About: I’ve had cats and dogs for the past 30 plus years. I’ve walked them, bathed them, made their food, cared for them when sick and loved them. I have a lovely, safe walking neighborhood for dogs, a fenced yard, and everything I would need for a dog to have a cozy stay with me. I currently work 100% remote and have time during the day for walks and playtime. I have dog beds for nap time and toys for them to play with. I also own several leashes. Over the years my family and I have had numerous dogs, rats, hamsters, cats fish goats and chickens I work full time but have time before and after work to feed, walk, play or just sit and hang out with your animals. I can also come and visit during my lunch breaks. I'm happy to stay overnight in your home or have your fur baby stay with me! I have a ½ acre that is completely fenced out in the country. lots of room for your dog to run. I can also stay at your home if that's where your animals are most comfortable.
