“I am really glad I found Derek and Sabrina. We tried another sitter who fell through last minute. Thankfully these two were able to get us in for a meet and greet quickly and go over a few things. (Or dog has a medical condition) I was impressed immediately with how everything felt professional as far as making sure dogs are up to date with vaccines and can socialize together nicely. I always ask for a meet and greet before making decisions just as a rule in life so when that was a requirement on their end too I felt comfortable moving forward. My dog came back healthy and expecting extra outside time to run and play. He even pouted when we left when he’s very much a shadow pup typically. My favorite thing from Derek and Sabrina was the updates, check ins and pictures daily. They really were great and we will be using them going forward for doggy daycare and vacations”

Ying played with Mr. Ribs and kept him entertained. This was comforting for us as the little guy loves people, so leaving him alone or isolated was not an option. About: As a long time pet lover, I began caring for dogs in my neighborhood and volunteering at the local animal shelter at the age of 12. I went on to work for a local petsitting company as a house sitter and dog walker while I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology. Before joining Rover, I was already providing dog boarding and daycare to my existing training clients. I have experience with a variety of senior dogs and I am able to administer any medications your dog requires. I also offer daily teeth brushing if this is part of your dog's routine. You can rest assured that whatever your pet's needs are, they will be met while they are under my care. I am also an independently insured petsitter with Pet Care Insurance which covers accidents or injuries and provides that extra peace of mind. Petsitting and dog training is my full-time job and my husband works from home, so there is usually always someone home with the dogs. I provide boarding and daycare 7-days a week and your dog’s health and happiness is my sole responsibility allowing me to be attentive to your dog's needs throughout the day. My home is an ideal boarding or daycare situation for your small dog. I only accept dogs that stand 17 inches or less at the shoulder and weigh 30lbs or less. I do occasionally make exceptions to this rule for senior dogs up to 40lbs that are very good with small dogs, calm, low energy and slow moving. I don’t accept Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Pitbull Terriers, Bulldogs, Bull Terriers, Huskys, German Shepherds and Chow Chows or their mixes due to these breeds not being a good fit for my small dog environment (a small percentage of 15% or less is okay if it came up in your dog’s mixed breed DNA test though). Please keep in mind I carefully screen all dogs for proper temperament your dog needs to be friendly with a group of dogs during a daycare trial or meet and greet in order to be approved for boarding. My priority is to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for small dogs, and reduce the risk of injury. I have a house with a dog door and fenced yard and your dog will have full access to just like they are used to at home. I provide frequent potty breaks as well as not all dogs are familiar with a dog door. At night I offer a number of different sleeping options depending on your dog’s size and temperament. They might sleep in a crate in the bedroom with us, in a soft sided crate on our bed, in an exercise pen, or loose in the living room where they'll have comfy couches and beds available. Some dogs I allow to be loose in the bed with us but it depends on the dog. I do not by default require dogs to be crated, and if you prefer your dog not be crated they can usually have a crate-free experience at my house. In this case, I only use a crate or exercise pen as a last resort if your dog displays destructive behaviors that cannot be managed. I am very safety oriented and I will ensure your dog is never left alone with my dogs, or dogs from other households. I use tall pet gates to ensure all entrances are secure when doors to the outside are being opened to prevent escape artists. I always check the vaccination status (including bordatella) of all potential dogs who stay with me. If your dog experiences an illness or injury during their stay I will contact your dog’s usual veterinarian. In case of an emergency after hours I can take them to Wilvet South at 444 B Street in Springfield. I do everything I can to make sure your pet has a stress-free, comfortable stay with me.

I have, at one time or another, owned dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles, rabbits, snakes, rats, goats, horses, and chickens and am comfortable caring for many more. Being a long time animal owner (cats, dogs, turtles, hamsters & fish), I understand the importance of having a responsible and dedicated sitter available. In the past I have rescued and boarded different dogs and cats with different needs keeping them on holistic diets and regular baths when needed, I thrive in giving them a loving environment at home (with tons of cuddles). I also have a personal belief on the importance of outdoor activity. I have a lot of experience with medium and larger breeds (Pomeranian, Beagles, Chow Chow, Rottweiler, Sheperds, Labs, & Mixes, etc), and also with senior dogs. I am a doggie parent. I also will send you periodic pictures of your fur baby during their time with me. I do walk in visits for pet parents. I try to work with a flexible schedule, but it depends on the needs of the pet. Some pets preffer 2 visits per day to make sure house is clean and pets are fed. But mostly will preffer the ability to drop in the evenings and early mornings. When I go to clients homes, I first have a meet and greet to determine best fit. I also like to fill out a log for all the dog needs. Some people like to give me a list and I am very happy when they do! I adapt to the need of the pet. For example some cats are shy and take longer to interact. I talk to them and keep them company. Make sure to take out any pet who enjoys a good 20-30 minute walk.

About: I have experience with all sorts of animals. I have worked with dogs and cats and most other household pets including snakes and birds. I have also worked with horses and most livestock farm animals. I make a daily roster of animals to care for and schedule my time accordingly. I care for my animals first always and help my community with animal care needs. I have a large fenced yard with room to run. I have 2 female dogs that are well trained and managed. I am currently working full time at a veterinary hospital but I have 3 days off per week for all day service and can make home stops in the AM before work and PM after work. Unfortunately at this time I do not offer services in my own home - I have two dogs and two cats of my own, and one of my dogs is elderly and extremely grouchy so bringing in outside pets is not an option for our household. I am no longer offering overnights unless it’s a single overnight. My typical client hires me to stop in 2-3 times daily to feed, walk, medicate, and play with their pets! “I am really glad I found Derek and Sabrina. We tried another sitter who fell through last minute. Thankfully these two were able to get us in for a meet and greet quickly and go over a few things. (Or dog has a medical condition) I was impressed immediately with how everything felt professional as far as making sure dogs are up to date with vaccines and can socialize together nicely. I always ask for a meet and greet before making decisions just as a rule in life so when that was a requirement on their end too I felt comfortable moving forward. My dog came back healthy and expecting extra outside time to run and play. He even pouted when we left when he’s very much a shadow pup typically. My favorite thing from Derek and Sabrina was the updates, check ins and pictures daily. They really were great and we will be using them going forward for doggy daycare and vacations”

About: I have cared for many family and friends’ pets and am a dog mom myself. I have a spacious fenced backyard and a 11 lb pup for your furry friend to play with, my chiweenie Loki. I work from home and live a couple blocks away from the Amazon trails and dog park. I am very flexible to give your furry friend attention as needed throughout the day.
