About: I’ve started walking dogs since I was walking in diapers. Throughout the years I’ve taken care of different sizes of dogs~ puppies to seniors. I’ve taken care of dogs that needed medical care and trained my dog and my grandma’s pup. I can say I know a bit of things when it comes dogs. I’m currently going to school in the afternoon and working at a part time, my mornings are almost always open and some of my nights. I’ll Still be willingly to work something out between those times. Having traveled to Portland from San Diego to visit our toddler granddaughter, we were in a bind. Our mixed-breed dog is reactive to the toddler and to the two cats who also live in the house, and that makes for a stressful visit. I wanted to get a dog sitter, but I was worried about finding someone so far from home on short notice. Our dog has a lot of separation anxiety and is rather high-strung. Julie and Barry have a beautiful, peaceful home. About: I have grown up with pets and even found my first job working at an animal boarding house. You could say I learned to become a professional dog walker at a young age. I have two high anxiety dogs and have been working on their social skills and coping methods to help their anxiety. I work full-time from home but take frequent breaks to let the dogs go out and play and take multiple walks a day to give them exercise. Weekends are mostly free to cuddle and to play with the fur babies. When house sitting or boarding pets I stay close so they be taken care of as needed. About: Throughout my life I’ve had 2 dogs, 7 cats, and I currently live with 3 cats. I don’t have a preference between cats and dogs, I love them equally! About: I’ve always loved old dogs, my first dog was 9 when my family adopted her, I was only 7! But when I saw her for the first time I just knew she was mine. I’ve had many dogs since and absolutely love meeting new dogs and getting to know them. I am currently self employed full time so my schedule is very flexible. I generally am available for pick ups and drops offs from 7am to 12am. I treat your dog like family. Dogs on the bed! I have lots of puzzles and lick mats etc for enrichment and lots of toys at my place for boarding. I frequent many of the dog parks in the city if your pup and you are comfortable with off leash dog parks. I also know all the great walking trails around the area for on leash romps. I’ve defended my dogs against aggressive off leash dogs in the past and feel very confident in my ability to protect your baby whether at the dog park or walking the neighborhood.

About: While growing up I have always had a dog in the home. I’m a huge dog lover and don’t know what I would do if I did not have a dog in my life. I remember when my parents let me chose our next dog when I was young. I chose a sheltie and named him Arrow. The reason for the name Arrow was when I went to pick him up I noticed in his fur on the back of his head was an arrow. I loved taking care of Arrow and we had a special bond! I loved taking him on walks and he loved chasing me around the house. When I turned 15 I started to take care of one of my neighbors cats and fish when they went on vacations. After completing one summer, I started taking care of their cats and fish for the next eight years before I moved out. Once the rest of my neighbors found out I was known in the neighborhood for taking care of my neighbors dogs and cats when they were on vacations! I have also taken care of many of my coworkers cats and dogs as well. So rest assured your pet will be in good hands while you are on vacation. It will be one less stress to worry about. I currently work full time, however work three 12 hours shifts. I’m currently off Friday-Monday. So I’m available for the weekends, so perfect for anyone wanting to do a weekend getaway! I do work graveyard so I’m available anytime after 2pm on Fridays. However, if you need to drop of earlier just communicate so I can plan ahead. My girlfriend and I live in a townhouse. I don’t have a fenced backyard. However, have a small backyard that is used for potty breaks. It does have a small area of grass turf (fake grass). The good news we live in Fairview in the Fairview Terrace community. We have a very large area for dogs. So your dog will have lots of playtime in the grassy area. Also, the neighborhood is perfect for walking your dog as well. The community is fenced and a gated community as well. Our community is very dog friendly and many pet owners. We also have a micro mini Golden doodle. So your dog will have a playmate as well. We can also send photos of your pet to you while on vacation to help with the separation. I know when I go on vacation I have a hard time leaving my fur baby behind. For me, getting photos of my fur baby made the vacation a little easier!
About: I'm extremely reliable. I will do what I say I will do. And I will treat your pet with utmost care and lots of love. I am not working regular hours so I am available almost anytime. I can come and go as you need for your pets! Always with a positive attitude! I will be on task 100% of the time. Whatever is needed and whatever is wanted. I can be counted on to do it reliably!

About: I worked at a vet clinic for 3.5 years but due to life changes I now work at a pet store and petsit to continue to work with animals while I work towards my goal of working in vet med again. I’m reliable with my own transportation and am very knowledgeable in proper pet care. I am communicative, compassionate, and attentive to animals and their needs. I have been my own friends’ and family’s pet sitter for the past 5 years and I treat every animal as if they were my own while in my care. My whole life revolves around animals; I have 5 cats of my own and have fostered over 20 animals ranging from cats of all ages, dogs, and guinea pigs. I also work directly with animals at my job and am looking to continue that path. I have multiple rooms in my home to separate the animals in my care if needed, I have access to professional services if an emergency were to arise while also having knowledge of what to look for in with different medical conditions that can be present in animals. I have a good understanding of animal behavior and I understand their needs.
