About: I have found that cats have a bit more personality and uniqueness than compared to dogs. I didn't grow up with cats but learned to LOVE them after my roommate and I adopted 2 kitties 4 years ago! We got to see a brother and sister grow before our eyes and clinge to us as parents. I respect cats for having "personality" and can read the room greatly when it comes to giving them space or more attention. In many ways they are easier to maintain but harder to befriend! About: I have been a dog guardian for 40 years including two Huskies for 10 years. I spent 25 years in San Francisco where my dogs went to the dog park twice a day. I was also a volunteer at the SPCA in California where I helped care for the dogs waiting to be adopted. Your best friend will get one on one and 100 percent attention from me. I only board one dog at a time unless they are from the same household already. I am working out of my condo as a freelance designer and make my own schedule. Currently and over the past five years I’ve worked for a family providing weekday care for their two cats. I’m currently looking to add a few additional families for ongoing care and lunch time drop-ins. Also I will continue to offer short-term, occasional care. I can provide daily visits, walks, transport to vet appointments, and overnight care in the clients home.

I love dogs and am passionate about animal welfare. I have years of experience between my family’s two dogs, my five foster dogs, and from being an active volunteer at my local humane society. Through my time as a humane society volunteer and staff member I have become comfortable with dogs of all energy levels, breeds, and sizes. “Lauren is always our first choice for dog sitters. She recently took care of our two dogs and had a trip planned of her own, but despite being busy she was able to make time to help us. During their stay, her dog had a health emergency in which she needed to take her to the emergency vet. The timing of the emergency was right as we were coming into town to pick up our dogs, but even so, without mentioning it, she made arrangements to allow for this to still occur. Even in unusual circumstances, she was able to problem solve and accommodate her customer and it saved us 1 hour of driving by still allowing us to pick up our dogs during the previously agreed upon time. We are very thankful for her loving nature with animals, responsibility and communication. These attributes make her a 5-star dog sitter!”
