About: I’ve been involved with dog rescue for many years. I worked with virtually every type of dog there is. From shy, timid to very high energy. I’ve had dogs that had aggression issues. I worked with dogs on leash training, housebreaking, and socialization. I am retired. I have nothing but time on my hands! I volunteer Thursday mornings at an equine therapy barn. But I will still have time to take care of animals on Thursdays. I am open to caring for dogs in my home. But! They have to be dog and cat friendly. I would prefer not to have younger dogs, only because my dogs are older and don’t like young dogs, jumping all over them. My dogs are very dog friendly though. My cats are very dog friendly. About: I've taken care of my family dog for 6 years, and I also was entrusted with my friends and family's dogs since I was 9. Currently, I am doing volunteer work and shadowing physicians as I am home for the summer from college. I am available majority of the week and weekends. I make sure to let our animals have their separate spaces for when they are in need of a rest. They also have fulltime access to food and water, and I have a fenced in yard with enough room to run around. I've watched pets for friends/ family and I really enjoy spending time around animals-- I'll sit at the dog park for hours with my little guy because it's brings me joy to be around happy playful dogs. When I wake up I get my dog out for potty time. Feed after morning bathroom breaks. My schedule is pretty open so I will accommodate to your feeding schedule as needed. About: I absolutely adore animals and have never lived a life without them. I adopted my very own sweet dog Sage at 18 (as soon as I was old enough) and she has been the light of my life.
