About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life 🐾 For nearly 20 years, that love has shaped both my personal life and my work in animal welfare along with nonprofit work. I have a background in animal behavior, shelter medicine, dog training, and I’m Fear Free certified. I understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable with who you trust your pet with, and I would love to start with a meet & greet to ensure both you and your pet feel comfortable with me and that we are a good fit! I only take one client at a time in my home. My golden retriever and I volunteer with a local K9 search and rescue team and specialize in rescuing missing persons. During the week (Tues - Thurs), I work outside of the home, but I have a flexible schedule and will come home for midday care. My own pets are never left longer than 5 - 7 hours. I've loved caring for these dogs and would like to extend my care to others who need a little help with their beloved pet or pets. I currently work at a kid's hair salon. My schedule is very flexible, allowing me to be able to pet-sit at almost any time. I currently do not have a pet of my own, so I have plenty of time to assist you with yours! While my home is not in a state for boarding, safety for your pet is a priority for me in your house. I always check leashes to ensure they can't break. About: I grew up on a farm, so I took care of cats, dogs, and various other farm type animals like horses and cows quite frequently. I also have a cat and two dogs back home that I take care of whenever I go back home. I’m currently waiting to hear back from multiple full time jobs, however this can take a while so at the moment I am usually free 24/7 for any pets who need taken care of! If I was to take a dog to my home, I have plenty of space for them to roam around inside as well as plenty of places outdoors to walk, or even go to the dog park if they enjoy going there. My apartment is perfect for a cat as well because there are plenty of windows for sunbathing and comfortable places to take naps, and for more active cats there is plenty of indoor space to play.

I have two dogs of my own: a 6-year-old female Bernese Mountain Dog and a medium male Goldendoodle. Both are gentle, submissive, and friendly with other dogs. My Bernese especially has a sweet “mama bear” personality and is very nurturing around other pets. My home is calm, dog-friendly, and comfortable. Pets are allowed on the furniture, and I want visiting dogs to feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family while they are here. I live in a quiet neighborhood with very little road noise, and there is a large community park close by where I can take dogs for walks, fresh air, and playtime based on their comfort level and your instructions. I’m best suited for dogs who are potty trained, friendly with other dogs, and not destructive in the home. I like to keep a peaceful environment, so I always prefer a meet-and-greet first to make sure your dog feels comfortable with me, my dogs, and the space. I will follow your dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any house rules you share.
