In our home, we have a large soft crate for dogs and small crates for cats, if needed. We expect all pets to be potty/house trained and dogs to sleep in a crate overnight. We don't allow dogs on furniture or in beds, but they're welcome throughout the home. Our cat, Cleo, roams the house but will often stay on the 2nd floor when new pet friends stay over. She has been great with new cats and dogs, often warming up to them after a day or two. We also have a 2.5 year old daughter who is home most of the week. She's great with cats and dogs and we expect any pets that stay with us to be comfortable with children.

My cat takes a consistent medication every night at 9 PM and we haven’t missed it for the past four years. Also small dogs take a special amount of attention to keep safe.

I have extensive experience with animals and have worked at a dog boarding kennel in the past in addition to growing up with pets. I have worked with aggressive dogs and am comfortable reading a dog’s cues to prevent escalation. I currently have a Bernese mountain dog who is always down for a play date and a cat who tolerates her antics haha. Bonus- I’m an ER nurse, far from a vet tech, but good for med admin if needed!
