About: I've been around dogs my entire life and can't imagine life without them. Growing up with dogs taught me how to care for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Today, I'm a proud Golden Retriever owner myself, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family member. Over the years, I've regularly helped friends and family care for their dogs, whether that meant walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, or simply providing companionship while they were away. As a nurse, my schedule varies throughout the week. On the days I'm working, I'm generally unavailable for pet care. However, I have approximately four days each week completely free, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and pet sitting on my days off, and I'm especially happy to care for dogs during long weekends when my schedule allows. Because I know my work schedule in advance, I can communicate availability clearly and ensure your pet receives reliable, attentive care. When I'm with your pet, they will have my full attention, and I'll do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable and happy while you're away. Pets staying in my home will be treated like part of the family. While I do not have a fenced backyard, I make sure dogs get plenty of exercise and enrichment through multiple daily walks, outdoor time on leash, play sessions, and lots of attention throughout the day. About: I have been taking care of animals my whole life. I have lots of experience with cats, dogs, and even lizards! I raised my own dog from puppyhood and have personally crate trained her, potty trained her, and taught her 15+ tricks/commands. I have experience caring for cats who require daily fluid administrations, pills, and other supplements I work from home Mondays and Fridays, but I am usually unavailable Tues-Thurs due to a busy work schedule. I usually take breaks during my work from home days to walk/play with the animals. For dogs - Dogs will be walked 3-4x daily or more depending on their individual needs. I do not have extra crates. Amy animals looking to stay in my home will need to be good with both cats and dogs. I keep plenty of treats on me during walks, in addition to a clicker for training and a portable water bowl. For cats - My home is equipped with a pet water fountain, extra bowls, and lots of toys. The litterboxes are cleaned daily and deep cleaned once a month. My cat is fed on a schedule (once in the morning and once in the evening) but I am happy to accomodate any feeding preferences for my clients pets should they choose to stay with me.

“This was our first time using Rover. We selected Ellen because she had many positive reviews as well as multiple returning clients. We made the right choice selecting Ellen to watch our fur babies. She is extremely accommodating and understanding. Our 2 pups have a number of quirks, but Ellen worked with them and gave them a home away from home. She sent multiple pictures a day and some videos, along with an update of the daily activities. We will absolutely be using Ellen if we go away and need a sitter. I cannot speak any higher of Ellen. About: I've been around dogs my entire life and can't imagine life without them. Growing up with dogs taught me how to care for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Today, I'm a proud Golden Retriever owner myself, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family member. Over the years, I've regularly helped friends and family care for their dogs, whether that meant walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, or simply providing companionship while they were away. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I treat every dog as if they were my own and strive to provide dependable care. As a nurse, my schedule varies throughout the week. On the days I'm working, I'm generally unavailable for pet care. However, I have approximately four days each week completely free, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and pet sitting on my days off, and I'm especially happy to care for dogs during long weekends when my schedule allows. Because I know my work schedule in advance, I can communicate availability clearly and ensure your pet receives reliable, attentive care. When I'm with your pet, they will have my full attention, and I'll do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable and happy while you're away. Pets staying in my home will be treated like part of the family. While I do not have a fenced backyard, I make sure dogs get plenty of exercise and enrichment through multiple daily walks, outdoor time on leash, play sessions, and lots of attention throughout the day. My Golden Retriever, Olive, will also be present during stays. She is friendly, social, and loves having canine companions to play with. Of course, I always prioritize safety and will ensure that all introductions are done thoughtfully and that every dog is comfortable. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply relaxing in a home environment, I'll work to maintain their routine and make them feel as comfortable as possible while you're away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and my goal is to provide a safe, loving, and fun home away from home.
