This was the first time we have boarded our 15 month old GSD for more than 1 night, so we obviously wanted to find someone who would be good with her while we were on vacation for 10 days. Arya is not only good with his boarding practices, but he is also fantastic with “reading” dogs and has a deep understanding of them and their individual behaviors/needs. Nika has not been properly socialized because of my neurological condition, and difficulty walking her. She lunges at other dogs and has pulled me over. Arya had this frantic behavior and her “skittish” energy around other dogs diminished by the second day! There were daily videos (often 2-3) of her doing different things (walking, eating, interacting with his 3 dogs, lying in the crate, etc.) Excellent communication, and immediate responses to questions. About: For any and all services I provide I will be seeking guidance from the pet owner for preferred handling as people treat their pets differently (allowed on furniture, leash vs off leash, feeding times, etc.) Most of my pet sitting experience has been at their home and i have cared for up to four dogs and two cats (plus chickens and fish). I have also babysat for a cat and a few different dogs at my place. I enjoy an active lifestyle and live near state lands so lots of hiking is usually on the agenda (for dogs anyway). I recently put down my aging cat and have found life is lonely without him, but I am not ready to replace him just yet. Rover seems like a great way to get my fix and earn some extra money along the way. I work full time Monday through Friday and have hour long lunch breaks if midday breaks are needed for your pets. Weekends are for serious play! I live on a low traffic road near a state forest. Access to trails from my back door and a large (unfenced) yard to roam. When staying in someone’s home I treat it like my own with care.

About: I’ve owned cats my whole life. My current cat is a sassy senior tortie named Queen. I'm well versed in reading body language through ears and tail. I have lots of experience with senior cats with health conditions; managing pet prescriptions and special diets. I'm comfortable administering medications if needed. In the past, I’ve taken care of my parent's diabetic asthmatic cat by giving her insulin injections daily as well as using an inhaler on her. Animal rescue is my biggest passion! About: I grew up in a household full of animals and have been pet sitting for neighbors for as long as I have been old enough. The only real routine barrier is my teaching job but that is only during week days in the 10 month school year not accounting for planned holidays, Summer or weeks off. About: Taking care of pets has always been part of my life. I have a fenced in yard for dogs to run and play. As for walks, I have to active kids who are always willing to take a walk around. I currently work at the local school just minutes from my home. I come home middle of the day. I am home during the summer and on weekends. I have a fenced in yard and one dog who is a big baby. Dogs are allowed to lay wherever they are comfortable but can also crate if they are used to that.
About: I've cared for dogs of different sizes over the years and I love to cuddle, walk, and pamper pups. We have a fenced in back yard and I like to take long walks with dogs if they're up for it. We have a 4 year old boxer/hound mix who is sweet with people but not great with other dogs. We keep him away from guest dogs, there's lots of room in the house for each dog to have their own space and still get lots of love from me and the family. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks through the day to care for puppies, whether that's a quick potty break, fun walk, or play time with balls and toys. When boarding, I make sure pups get any meds they need, plenty of time outside, and snuggles on the couch (if they're the snuggling type). I know some dogs need longer or shorter walks, and I make adjustments based on what they need.

About: I've had dogs my entire life from puppies to rescues! I've also been a grooming salon manager in Ithaca for 9 years. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 6 year old lab mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 5 year old miniature fox terrier mix who has unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I will always make sure they are comfortable, happy, loved, and safe!

About: I’ve taken care of all different kinds of pets from one hundred pound dogs to chinchillas and reptiles. I was lucky enough to grow up in a neighborhood with lots of animals and found great joy in taking care of them. As a kid I volunteered at my local shelter and saw first hand how each animal has a different story. Above all I love pets and understand what your pet means to you. I am college student with a flexible schedule. I am available weekends and weekdays and can work with you and your schedule to make sure your pet gets the care they need. About: I’ve volunteered at shelters to walk dogs since I was 10, and I got my first dog at age 16. I am currently a puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind and am raising my first dog for the organization. I have experience with puppies as young as 8 weeks and as old as 14 years. I am a student who works part time, so I have ample time to give to pet sitting and care. About: I grew up in a household full of animals and have been pet sitting for neighbors for as long as I have been old enough. I've had dogs, guinea pigs, a rabbit, chickens and numerous other small creatures who I have loved over the years. My profile picture is of my parent's golden doodle! I am currently a physical therapy student at Ithaca College who is spending the summer here in Ithaca and looking to dog walk/sit or pet sit! “AMAZING CARE!! This was the first time we have boarded our 15 month old GSD for more than 1 night, so we obviously wanted to find someone who would be good with her while we were on vacation for 10 days. Arya is not only good with his boarding practices, but he is also fantastic with “reading” dogs and has a deep understanding of them and their individual behaviors/needs. Nika has not been properly socialized because of my neurological condition, and difficulty walking her. She lunges at other dogs and has pulled me over. Arya had this frantic behavior and her “skittish” energy around other dogs diminished by the second day! There were daily videos (often 2-3) of her doing different things (walking, eating, interacting with his 3 dogs, lying in the crate, etc.) Excellent communication, and immediate responses to questions. About: For any and all services I provide I will be seeking guidance from the pet owner for preferred handling as people treat their pets differently (allowed on furniture, leash vs off leash, feeding times, etc.) Most of my pet sitting experience has been at their home and i have cared for up to four dogs and two cats (plus chickens and fish). I have also babysat for a cat and a few different dogs at my place. I enjoy an active lifestyle and live near state lands so lots of hiking is usually on the agenda (for dogs anyway). I recently put down my aging cat and have found life is lonely without him, but I am not ready to replace him just yet. Rover seems like a great way to get my fix and earn some extra money along the way. I work full time Monday through Friday and have hour long lunch breaks if midday breaks are needed for your pets. Weekends are for serious play! I live on a low traffic road near a state forest. Access to trails from my back door and a large (unfenced) yard to roam. When staying in someone’s home I treat it like my own with care.
“Jessica and her family were amazing. They watched our 6 month old puppy and 7 year old dog for 4 nights while we were on a vacation. The older dog gets anxiety when she would stay at a boarding facility due to being around lots of dogs, barking and sleeping in a kennel. She experienced none of that while with Jessica. She came home happy, calm and most importantly, with an appetite. She took them on long walks everyday, played with them and treated them as her own.
