“I am one of those overindulgent pet owners. I usually only leave My King Charles cavalier, Fynn, with family or dear friends. A last minute opportunity over Easter weekend found me scrambling for dog care. An acquaintance mentioned Rover.com, a site and service I was unfamiliar with. After searching the site and reading the reviews I had four options close to my home. I call it a gut feeling because I was drawn to Melissa in spite of the fact she had no reviews posted. Melissa responded quickly . She explained she had two small dogs and would like to introduce the dogs first to see if this would work. It was as if she read my mind… Melissa was available later that day and we agreed to take the dogs to the park. Meeting in person, letting the dogs get to know each other immediately put my mind at ease . When I brought Fynn to Melissa to watch for the weekend, she introduced me to her family, her home and where the dogs would play. Once on the road Melissa continued to put me at ease by sending pictures and updates as to how the dogs were faring. Fynn came home happy, well cared for and missing his new buddies. They go on 2-3 walks per day (if the owners allow me to take them for walks) and get plenty of exercise throughout the day. They're fed their dinner between 6pm and 7pm, get their last potty break at about 9pm and then we are done for the day!

About: Hello I am happy owner of almost two year old miniature Australian Shepherd . I work part time most of the times from my house . I am always around and have a lot of time to enjoy free time with dogs . Whenever our friends need help with their dogs I am ready to take care of them. I also have few local customers which can always count on me. Our dog Ginger is very friendly and very happy when she can make new friends. I take her every day for long walks and she loves the local beach ! I used to work with dogs in the NYC for 6 years . That was the best work I had in my life ! Dogs are definitely my best friends and I always give them a lot of love and attention.

I love my job and will always go above and beyond to make sure your pets are properly cared for and loved while you are away. About: My love for dogs knows no bounds! While I started actively caring for dogs about three years ago, I’ve had them in my life since I was 10. Taking my dogs to the beach or on trail walks is part of my daily routine. I realized that if I’m already bringing my own pups on adventures, why not share the fun and include other dogs too! I’m currently working full time Tuesday-Friday 9am-5pm but available after work too! Available anytime Monday, Saturday and Sunday. I usually take my dogs to the beach for a 1 hour walk in the riverhead and Hampton bays area I have a fenced yard at my house and can definitely train your dog some tricks if you are okay with it! My hobby is to teach my dogs new tricks. I also do agility training!

About: I grew up with dogs and have a very large very hyper guy currently. I started walking dogs when I was in elementary school and dog sat during Covid. I’ve also owned dogs through every stage of their life, from 8 weeks to 16 years old. I work restaurant hours Thursday through Sunday, 3 to 11. This means I have 3 days completely free and I’m available every morning and afternoon. I can’t do anything in my own home because my dog isn’t very good at making friends, but because of that I am very good with walking and caring for more challenging dogs

We are a dog loving family and have a very pet friendly home, My dogs have always been very welcoming and have been great with the dozens of foster dogs we've had in and out of our house over the last decade. We decided to try boarding in our home-- we know how difficult it is to go away and worry about your pet. We have a lot of experience with all kinds of dogs—our goal is always to give the dogs space and time to relax and feel comfortable. I've done everything from giving insulin shots to oral vaccines. I've had dogs with separation anxiety, dementia, dog aggression--you name an issue, I've had a foster dog with it!, My 26 year old daughter is often with us and is wonderful with dogs and helps out quite a bit. She stands in for me if I have to be away. I work from home, so I am always around. We take walks in our neighborhood and I always make sure someone is around when we are boarding a dog We are fenced in and make it a point to be extremely watchful of the dogs in our home. We don’t take our boarding dogs off the leash.

About: I love taking care of friendly dogs and making sure that they are as comfortable as possible. We'd have lots of play time in the yard, leashed walks around the block a couple of times a day and enough quiet and rest time to ensure a relaxing stay for your pet. They would be joining my neutered 5 year old mini bernadoodle (15lbs), Stella who is a real lady :-)) I work from home so will usually be around to look after and play with your pet. There will be yard play and leashed walks around the block with my furry friend. I have a fenced yard and will always be outside with your pet. Potty breaks are regularly scheduled as well as being as needed depending on your pet. Fresh water is always out, I like to give my dog a chewy treat or milk bone around lunchtime. When we walk around the block it will always be on a leash.

About: As a child I was never allowed to have a pet. In college my best friend and I adopted a puppy named Wesley. I absolutely LOVE that companionship of having a dog and providing meaningful, loving life for them. I’ve had the opportunity to dog sit for many friends and family. I am looking for opportunities to be around love dogs and help assist others as they are away or in just in need of an extra hand! I currently work 8-4pm Monday-Friday with some flexibility in the schedule. If I know I’m advance that arrangements of Dog sitting I can make my schedule work with that. I adapt to your pets specific needs. If you are currently potty training, or crate training etc. we can make sure to continue that while I am dog sitting.
