In the morning, when she arrived, our house water alarm happened to be going off. She immediately texted to let me know and asked how to turn it off. After I gave her the code, she handled it without hesitation and even went down to the basement to check whether there was any flooding, reporting back that there was only about an inch of water in the crawl space and nothing urgent. “Erika saved the day when she so graciously accepted a last minute booking for my cat and kittens I rescued who recently had spay/neuter surgery. My mom lives 7-8 hours away and was in a bad car accident. It was too soon to leave the kittens overnight with drop-ins. Erika came and stayed with them for two nights so I could be with my mom. She was super kind and put me right at ease. She kept me updated and as hard as it is to believe I didn’t worry about them at all. She even set food out for a family of community cats who have mostly moved in on my back porch. I’d hire her again without any reservations. A bonus, the house was all tidied up when I got home from my long trip.”

I wake up and the first thing I do is let the dogs out for their morning bathroom break. They all typically go out into my fenced in yard together as one big group. I prepare their breakfasts while they're all outside and then feed them once they are let back into the house. They spend the day with me around the house where they play with each other and where I play games with them. They go on 2-3 walks per day (if the owners allow me to take them for walks) and get plenty of exercise throughout the day. They're fed their dinner between 6pm and 7pm, get their last potty break at about 9pm and then we are done for the day!

I have flexibility in my remote work schedule where I can spend extra time with pets. I’m typically signed on from 9am-5pm with periodic meetings, but am able to step away for breaks during the workday. Ensure that your pet is comfortable with me! I usually prefer some extra time together when arriving to make sure they feel safe with me in your home.
About: I have grown up with 2 dogs and am studying veterinary medicine because of my passion and love for animals! I have taken care of several dogs around my neighborhood including overnight stays, feeding, and walking with dogs of all ages including puppies and seniors! I have doggie daycare work experience and have interned with a horse veterinarian and Southeast Animal Hospital with dogs, cats, and even hamsters and birds! I have a very flexible schedule and can do just about anytime on any day of the week! Just let me know what you need :) I have studied animal behavior, so I am very observant on body language and different breed temperaments. From early childhood until now I have owned 4 Golden Retrievers and 6 cats (not at the same time of course!) including a retired service dog. About: I’ve taken care of the dogs in my neighborhood since I was 11. I’ve dogsat for neighbors and walked dogs before. Most of my family has dogs so when they go out of town I watch their pets. I train for soccer every morning, so dog walking is a great way for me to stay active and keep my legs stretched and warm. I have a super flexible schedule outside of my morning training! I will mainly be walking dogs and will make sure they are hydrated, are able to do their business, and enjoy their time out in the sun and nature! If I am dog sitting in your home I will make sure the dog feels comfortable in his home and that everything is in order when I arrive and leave!
About: I'm a long time volunteer with Friends of the Homeless Animals and I have two rescue dogs of my own. We are a dog loving family and have a very pet friendly home, My dogs have always been very welcoming and have been great with the dozens of foster dogs we've had in and out of our house over the last decade. We decided to try boarding in our home-- we know how difficult it is to go away and worry about your pet. We have a lot of experience with all kinds of dogs—our goal is always to give the dogs space and time to relax and feel comfortable. I've done everything from giving insulin shots to oral vaccines. I've had dogs with separation anxiety, dementia, dog aggression--you name an issue, I've had a foster dog with it!, My 26 year old daughter is often with us and is wonderful with dogs and helps out quite a bit. She stands in for me if I have to be away. I work from home, so I am always around. We take walks in our neighborhood and I always make sure someone is around when we are boarding a dog We are fenced in and make it a point to be extremely watchful of the dogs in our home. We don’t take our boarding dogs off the leash.
About: I grew up with dogs and have a very large very hyper guy currently. I started walking dogs when I was in elementary school and dog sat during Covid. I’ve also owned dogs through every stage of their life, from 8 weeks to 16 years old. I work restaurant hours Thursday through Sunday, 3 to 11. This means I have 3 days completely free and I’m available every morning and afternoon. I can’t do anything in my own home because my dog isn’t very good at making friends, but because of that I am very good with walking and caring for more challenging dogs
