He sleeps out in the open which shows he is comfortable and lets the family play with him and rub his belly which he rarely allows. Jacqueline shares numerous videos pictures and text updates. My guy is actually adjusting coming back home; I’m not sure he was ready to leave his vacation! It’s just he and I so now I feel bad he left all of his friends at Jacqueline’s house! “I had such a great experience with Ming, her husband, and two lovely dogs. As the first time working with Ming, I wondered if my dog would work well with them or they would be happy with my dog, Oliver. After more than 10 days of boarding Oliver with Ming, I realized that I sent Oliver to a sort of luxurious doggy retreat. Oliver came back more energetic and cuddly showing signs that he was truly loved by Ming and her family members. Ming has a lovely backyard as well as a private bedroom for a dog, and a small doggy tent where your dog can rest. For a second, I thought Oliver might want to stay longer with them!! I would highly recommend Ming to anyone who would need to board a dog!!”

About: Dogs have been one of the most important parts of my life for over twenty years, and being on Rover is my way of staying connected to that. I was a dog owner from 2001 until 2026. Our Beagle, Beans, was with us for 14.9 years — from 2001 to 2016. Beans was a super confident, super independent part lemonhead beagle we had at birth. He moved with us across 3 countries, and 7 homes. If you know Beagles, they are hounds with minds of their own. It was all about him! He got to live in New York and spent his last year here in Jersey City. Then in 2016 we adopted Sammy, an impossibly fluffy Bichon/Pomeranian mix, at seven years old. We don't know his background but what we do know was that one day, he was dropped off at Shake-A-Paw, along with his pillow. He spent 3 months there, since most preferred a younger pup. He turned out to be the quirkiest, most loving dog who made it his mission to just be there for us. Walking alongside Sammy through his senior years — learning his rhythms, knowing when he needed a slower pace or a longer sniff, watching him light up at every person he met — taught me more about patience and presence than almost anything else in my life. We lost Sammy last New Year's Eve (2025), and he is missed everyday. What I know from those years is that every dog has a personality, a routine, and a way they like to be loved — and the job of a good sitter is to learn that quickly and honor it completely. I also know what it feels like to be on the other side, trusting someone else with your dog when you can't be there. That trust meant everything to us, and I want to offer that same peace of mind to you. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, and day sitting. I'm attentive, reliable, and genuinely happiest when I'm around dogs. Your pet will be safe, comfortable, and well cared for — and honestly, spending time with them means as much to me as it does to them. About: I've been caring for dogs since I was 7 years old, when I got my first dog. Over the years I've cared for dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages and personalities. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to care for their pets. As a mom, I'm responsible, patient, and used to keeping a busy household on routine. “We truly hit the pet-sitter jackpot. I hesitate to leave this review for fear that Tammy will become so beloved across Rover she will no longer have time for us! From the moment we met Tammy, it was clear our cats were possibly in better hands than our own (honestly, they seemed a little disappointed when we came back). Updates were consistent, thoughtful, and often included photos that looked like they belonged in a pet lifestyle magazine—somehow capturing both chaos and cuteness in equal measure. Our home was cared for, our girls were happy, and we’re fairly certain they learned better manners while we were gone which raises some questions about our own management style. What really stood out was the genuine care and attention—this wasn’t just “checking in,” it was full-on VIP treatment. Visits weren’t rushed, playtime wasn’t optional, and every detail was handled like it mattered (because it does). If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, communicative, and clearly loved by animals, stop looking—you’ve found them. Just be warned: your pets may start expecting this level of service from you afterward. I still haven't mastered Tammy's double-Churu-dispensing skills, and the judgment from our girls is palpable.”

My husband Andres is also a vet tech with over 15 years of experience and he helps me take care of any of the pets I watch. I used to mainly watch dogs in my home but since Covid we had a baby and she is allergic to dogs so I can't board in my home anymore which makes me very sad. About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs since I was 10, I’m raised puppies by bottle feeding them since birth and cared for older dogs as well. I currently have plenty of free time so doing something I love as a job would be no issue, as long as the clients are satisfied and the fur babies are safe that’s all that matters. I have a backyard we can also go for walks , if needed I already have a crate that I can cozy up for the fur babies comfort. I also stick to instructions that the owner has left for me.

Currently, I am a proud mom of a chatty black cat named Binx 🐈⬛ and a very funny (and very opinionated) 2 year old husky named Aries who loves to sing 📣🐺 Both are very social, friendly, kind and well behaved. Both get along with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Both are fixed, vaccinated and healthy. I have walk several dogs in my old building complex - most are friends with my dog who is a very happy husky mix. I am the friend / neighbor everyone calls when they need help with their pets! I’m trained in walking dogs on standard leashes, slip leads, harnesses, choke collar (although, not personally preferred), retractable leashes, “no pull” harnesses, muzzles, etc. Previously, I volunteered at an animal shelter for years where I was properly trained on walking different degrees of behaviorally ranked dogs. Each level requires a 10 hour orientation so as to make sure both the dog and I were safe. I still apply many of those useful techniques today. I’ve owned, worked with and volunteered with dog breeds of all sizes and all kinds of personalities for many years and across NYC. I also adore cats, fish and reptiles as well. 🐠🐢🦎 I can help with walking, feeding / administering medication or vitamins, socialization, basic training (leash training, off-leash training, crate training, positive reinforcement, sit, stay, down, paw (and “other paw”), behavioral fixes like pulling on leash, etc), daycare for short or longer stays, drop-ins and whatever else you need! About: Hi, I’m T! I have taken care of different ages of dogs and breeds as well. I have experience in walking dogs that pull and being able to redirect them to something else if told details about the pet fully. I also am very big on clear, direct communication so I will send tons of updates and pictures. I love walks, your dog loves walks.. so Me+ Your Dog = Happy Walks. I’m a morning person so I’m up and early, ready to start. I am also attending college so I’ll be free from Monday, Tuesday- after 12pm afternoon Wednesday- free all day Thursday- after 4pm afternoon Friday, Saturday & Sunday- after 12pm afternoon ^ my schedule is extremely flexible so don’t be afraid to just send me a message. I most likely will make it despite the schedule time listed. My home is fenced in all around with lock pads to prevent trespassers. I believe in upholding safety to the highest. I also have two seperate floors and a fenced backyard.
About: I have always had a genuine love for dogs for as long as I can remember. I adopted my own dog when he was only 3 months old from the shelter and have had him for over 10 years now. I have taken care of my friends' and families' pets when they have been away and I love walking and taking care of dogs of every kind; I have a big dog but I have experience with small dogs as well. I have plenty of time to play with your pets, since my work schedule is different every day! On my freer days, I would love to spend more time with your pets, since mine has recently passed away and i want to give another dog some more love! About: I was 13 when I got my first Pomeranian puppy. Having a Pomeranian helped teach me patience, calming down an anxious puppy, and understanding boundaries. I also have experience with more hyper breeds such as border collies. When I was 17 my brother bought home a border collie and I helped raise him a lot. I also had many lizards and hamsters. I love bonding with different animals and getting to know their unique personalities. Currently working part time. So I have plenty of time to myself. I am looking for something that makes me feel more connected with myself so I am giving rover a try :) I care for my pets by simply being gentle and trying to understand them. For example- my dog hates the broom when I am sweeping. Instead of yelling at her I put down the broom, picked her up and told her it’s okay. I set her down on my bed, gave her a biscuit, and picked up the broom. As I did this I spoke in a soft voice and told her she’s being good and that it’s okay.

About: Growing up, I have always looked after dogs of close friends and family, and have studied nutrition and health, which led me to work at a pet hotel for about a year with almost every dog breed. My responsibilities included prepping food, cleaning, 1 on 1 play, and group play. I have been in charge of up to 20 dogs at 1 time. I also co-own a dog named Luna. The other owner and I had Luna since she was a puppy and she is now 5 years old. I teach obedience/behavior training to many dogs and I develop trust with dogs that is unique to my experience with various breeds. It takes patience and consistency to be a great leader for dogs and I wear my heart on my sleeve for every dog I'm caring for; communication with your dog is key. I currently work with dogs full time and make Dog care apart of my every day routine, if I'm not with my dog I'm working with other dogs. I have a good size open backyard and toys depending on the play style of your dog; crate training is much appreciated if they are familiar. Walks are frequent, especially for high energy dogs

As the first time working with Ming, I wondered if my dog would work well with them or they would be happy with my dog, Oliver. After more than 10 days of boarding Oliver with Ming, I realized that I sent Oliver to a sort of luxurious doggy retreat. Oliver came back more energetic and cuddly showing signs that he was truly loved by Ming and her family members. Ming has a lovely backyard as well as a private bedroom for a dog, and a small doggy tent where your dog can rest. For a second, I thought Oliver might want to stay longer with them!!
