About: I've grown up with dogs all my life. My Eagle Scout project was to help create storage and kits for a dog rescue agency and since then I've helped foster 5 dogs and doggysat for numerous friends and family. I give dogs my time and attention and try to pay attention to their preferences and habits. I am a college student so I have flexibility to care for animals during summer and winter breaks. I love being able to chill on the couch next to dogs so they feel cared for and loved. I have a fenced yard and two very sweet dogs who have been mentors to our foster dogs. “Having just moved to Long Island, my husband and I were in search of a reliable dog sitter for our dog, Kilo. We always had friends watch him in Miami, and were a bit nervous leaving Kilo with a stranger for 3 nights. Initially, we checked out some kennels in the area, and found them quite depressing. That led us to look on Rover, and Daniel's profile came up first. I reached out to Daniel to inquire about booking with him, and within minutes Daniel had responded and we set up a meet and greet for later that night. I stopped by with Kilo to see Daniel's set up/house. I could immediately tell that he was a dog person and was going to treat my dog as his own! I was nervous because Kilo can be a little territorial with other large males, but Daniel reassured me that everything would be fine. I dropped Kilo off later that week for his stay with Daniel and his family. Daniel sent pictures of Kilo playing outside and responded to any questions/concerns I had about Kilo during his stay. About: Growing up, I lived with two tuxedo cats who completely stole my heart. As I got older, I took on many of their daily care responsibilities, including feeding them, cleaning their litter boxes, playing with them, and giving them plenty of love and attention. Today, I have two black cats who are the most precious year-old brothers. When my wife and I adopted them, they were extremely ill with ringworm, roundworms, and what felt like a never-ending series of upper respiratory infections. “From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. I understand that every animal has a unique personality, and I strive to give each pet the same level of attention and affection that I would want for my own. i work part time in the mornings and am available most days after 1pm. I am a doctoral student at Stony Brook University, so I am flexible to watch your pup or kitty any time in the afternoons/evenings. If needed, I can do an early morning stop by at 6:30AM prior to heading to work. in my clients home, I will be respectful of property, taking off shoes before entering the house, cleaning up any messes that the animal/myself may create, ensuring the animal has food, water, litter box, toys, etc. accessible, and to lock up the house, windows, and any gates prior to leaving the home. I will always accommodate the clients requests. In my home, I have multiple floors to separate my animals from the animal(s) coming into my home. I also have a fully fenced in, large backyard for a dog to run around in. We have a home security system as well to ensure safety.

About: All my life I have lived with cats. My dream pet would be a mini pig, I truly love all animals (except bugs lol). I have taken care of 6 indoor cats & 4 kittens throughout my life, over 20 outdoor cats and I've helped out my neighbors by walking their dogs.
