“I had a last minute emergency of not having someone to watch kylo while i went away. after constant searching my boyfriend recommended i try Rover and i found Jennifer . She was accommodating, sweet and attentive from the first meet. i was a bit nervous as a first time user for the app and i’ve never had anyone who wasn’t family take care of kylo, but she’s trustworthy and always sent updates on Kylo and how he was doing and he was settling in very easily. her environment was something i loved for kylo to be around, she was always around with kylo and gave him constant attention, cuddles, and her dog Sadie, was just as energetic as him. i’m glad he wasn’t alone and it definitely eased my mind to know he was in a safe environment surrounded by people and other pet friends. my encounter with her was so smooth and last minute but i’m glad she took Kylo in and treated him like her own. if you’re unsure of leaving your pet with someone i 100000% recommend her ! i know kylo had a blast with her and i would definitely love for her to watch kylo for future because of how happy he was and i was knowing he was cared for”

I've always loved animals and grew up surrounded by pets. My parents bred Pomeranians, and as a teen I had a Sheltie who I absolutely adored. Over the years, I’ve cared for friends’, coworkers’, and even my boss’s pets while they were away, making sure they stayed on schedule with meals, exercise, and attention. Last year, I took a sabbatical during which I traveled the country largely through pet sitting. During that experience, I cared for a wide variety of pets—from young, energetic pets to seniors, and from energetic Border Collies and Newfiedoodles to independent outdoor Calico cats and affectionate indoor Russian Blues. I loved and cared for each of them as if they were my own. I’m attentive to established routines and enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and needs. I understand how important peace of mind is while you’re away, so I’m always happy to provide regular updates and photos. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, well cared for, and loved while you’re away. Since I work full time (8:00-4:30), my availability is primarily evenings (5pm onwards) and weekends for dog walks and drop-ins. I can also assist with morning cat feedings or drop-ins (6-7:30am) on my way to work when timing and location allow. I’m open to weekend house sitting with advance notice and aim to provide consistent, reliable care for every pet. About: I’ve worked at a Veterinary Hospital for 32 yrs, raised/trained more than 15 puppies to be service dogs & have been doing Animal Assisted Therapy since 1993. I have recently retired, set up my house to be dog friendly and now I have plenty of time to spend with my dogs and your pups! My home is clean and dog friendly with a fenced in backyard. All dogs are allowed on the couch (if you allow that) and my lap (small dogs plz). There are plenty of toys and dog beds for resting:) I also have many baby gates if a dog wants alone time.

“We had to get work done to our house and or dog couldn't be home during the day. I looked at other options and they just didn't fit what we needed. We'd have to take off some hours from work as the construction was done on our house. I hopped onto Rover and quickly found Ashley. The rates were affordable and her profile really stood out as someone who cares about pets. We consider our dog, Amber, one of our children. Ashley was amazing with pick up and drop off. Always on time which was great because we wanted Amber to be picked up before the workers got there. When we got home from work Ashley would drop her off. “From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. Finding someone who genuinely loves and cares for your pet as though they were part of their own family is incredibly rare, and we would trust her with Nessa again in a heartbeat.”

She had a few litters of her own which were incredibly beautiful experiences. She passed in 2018. We miss her so much. She was our baby. We literally used to cradle her in our arms. Although, I have had several dogs to sit (Arbuan Cunucu, Cocker and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Pomeranian, Chihuahua, Jack Russell, Husky, Maltese, and a Terrier) 💜💜💜 Recently learning about Christianity has taught me diligence, kindness, patience, and humility. About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs (and other animals!) for many years. Family, friends, and co-workers have relied on me to watch and care for their pets whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, even taking them to the vet. I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages, from senior bull mastiffs to pugs under a year old. There is no dog too big or too small because they’re all perfect to me. I’ve also found lost dogs and helped them return to their owners! I have experience caring for anxious dogs, blind dogs, deaf dogs, dogs with mobility issues, and dogs that require medication. Other animals I’ve taken care of include: cats, parrots, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits, and hamsters. Pets are so precious, they’re such an important source of joy in their family’s lives so it’s such a privilege to be trusted with their care!! :) Pet sitting is currently my full time job, so I have lots of time to give your animals the special care and attention they deserve! I have a fenced in yard which is perfect for dogs to run around in. I also have a car so I’m able to take dogs to the dog park or dog beaches nearby (if that’s something they would enjoy). At a client’s house I still follow any guidance/schedule given to me. In between I typically take the dog’s lead. I’m at their house so it’s important to me that I respect their space (and the clients above all)! I like to take their cues to make sure that their sense of routine isn’t disrupted.

About: For the majority of my life, I have always had a dog in my possession! So I have always known how far my love and care for animals goes. I have watched my family’s dogs when they went on vacation and I’ve also walked a couple of dogs in my neighborhood. Now, my love and care for animals goes beyond measure. She was accommodating, sweet and attentive from the first meet. i was a bit nervous as a first time user for the app and i’ve never had anyone who wasn’t family take care of kylo, but she’s trustworthy and always sent updates on Kylo and how he was doing and he was settling in very easily. her environment was something i loved for kylo to be around, she was always around with kylo and gave him constant attention, cuddles, and her dog Sadie, was just as energetic as him. i’m glad he wasn’t alone and it definitely eased my mind to know he was in a safe environment surrounded by people and other pet friends. my encounter with her was so smooth and last minute but i’m glad she took Kylo in and treated him like her own. if you’re unsure of leaving your pet with someone i 100000% recommend her ! i know kylo had a blast with her and i would definitely love for her to watch kylo for future because of how happy he was and i was knowing he was cared for”
