I've always loved animals and grew up surrounded by pets. My parents bred Pomeranians, and as a teen I had a Sheltie who I absolutely adored. About: I’ve worked at a Veterinary Hospital for 32 yrs, raised/trained more than 15 puppies to be service dogs & have been doing Animal Assisted Therapy since 1993. I have recently retired, set up my house to be dog friendly and now I have plenty of time to spend with my dogs and your pups! My home is clean and dog friendly with a fenced in backyard. All dogs are allowed on the couch (if you allow that) and my lap (small dogs plz). There are plenty of toys and dog beds for resting:) I also have many baby gates if a dog wants alone time.

We'd have to take off some hours from work as the construction was done on our house. I hopped onto Rover and quickly found Ashley. Always on time which was great because we wanted Amber to be picked up before the workers got there. When we got home from work Ashley would drop her off. “From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. Finding someone who genuinely loves and cares for your pet as though they were part of their own family is incredibly rare, and we would trust her with Nessa again in a heartbeat.”

As I got older, I took on many of their daily care responsibilities, including feeding them, cleaning their litter boxes, playing with them, and making sure they felt loved and comfortable. Today, my wife and I are proud pet parents to two black cats. In addition to caring for cats, I have experience watching a toy poodle puppy under one year old. My responsibilities have included taking her outside for regular bathroom breaks, supervising walks, engaging her in play and exercise, teaching basic tricks and commands, reinforcing good behavior, and helping her work through separation anxiety. Caring for a young puppy taught me the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, patience, and attentiveness to a pet's individual needs. If needed, I can do an early morning stop by at 6:30AM prior to heading to work. in my clients home, I will be respectful of property, taking off shoes before entering the house, cleaning up any messes that the animal/myself may create, ensuring the animal has food, water, litter box, toys, etc. accessible, and to lock up the house, windows, and any gates prior to leaving the home. I will always accommodate the clients requests. In my home, I have multiple floors to separate my animals from the animal(s) coming into my home. I also have a fully fenced in, large backyard for a dog to run around in. We have a home security system as well to ensure safety.

About: I have grown up with different dogs my entire life. My best friend was a Rottweiler named Sampson and I had him from a pup. I create trained him as well as click trained him to become a good citizen. I have experience with large breeds as well as small. I have cared my many fur babies in this own homes, keeping them happy with conversation, brushing, play time and long walks.
