“Ella was so great! She was tolerant of our quirks right away. I flaked and was not on time to meet her for the first time so that she could learn about our cat and house alarm system, and she was patient and understanding still. We are kind of fussy and picky people as far as trust goes with our cat and our house. Our house is in semi-public space within a neighborhood that draws a bit of notice if we aren't around consistently and adds some variables for safety, so it was nice to have someone who was local and understanding. It's been hard to leave town now that our cat is so high needs and frail, but this interaction was calm and reassured us that we can keep trying to live instead of feeling a bit "stuck" here due to her needs. Our little granny is 20+ years old, on 4 different medications, special food, is a bit wobbly on her feet etc. Ella was able to give her the meds in a pill pocket without issue and stopped in 2x a day. She was timely, trustworthy, and caring. We didn't expect her to stay long, but just duck in and out since Eliza sleeps most of the day and isn't high energy to play etc. but she still spent a bit of time with her and gave her attention to keep her company and stretch out her boring days without us. It was our first time fully using this site and now we feel reassured. Hire Ella!”

About: I grew up on farms in the south, so I've been around animals my whole life. I moved to Rochester specifically because of how dog friendly it is. About: I didn’t grow up with dogs of my own but all my friends had dogs and some of my family did, too. I’ve been around Great Danes to little chihuahuas. I do take care of my best friends two dogs when she is working her 12 hour shifts which includes letting them out to potty, feeding them, giving treats and of course all the rubs and lovings. I currently work part time at a doctors office so my afternoons and evenings are very open. Doing care in the morning before work is also not an issue. I do start work at 7am, but I am happy to stay the night or get there early before my shift. I unfortunately would not be able to offer services in my home unless it was a caged or tanked animal because I do have 4 cats currently. One of my cats is absolutely terrified of dogs.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I was responsible for walking the family dog when I was younger, volunteered at a shelter walking dogs every Saturday morning for 5 years, and have owned a dog myself for the last 20 years. My current dog, Bruce, and I are a registered therapy dog team, which required a lot of training and building of trust between us. He's a border collie (though he's slowed down in his old age) that needs his daily walks and play time. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets with someone. You need to be able to trust them and I promise to take care of your dog with as much love and care as I take care of my own. I have 4 cats, so you pup MUST be good with cats. I work from home everyday so I am able to take care of potty breaks as needed and provide attention and playtime throughout the day. Building trust with an animal is etremely important. I am careful to keep an eye on body language so that I know when an animal wants more or less attention, needs to go for a walk, or needs to play. My own dog has been trained to walk on a loose leash by my side and does not pull. I've had plenty of experience walking shelter dogs who had no training though, so I can handle quite a bit. I regularly interact with my cats depending upon what type of interaction they want. I have two cats who love to play with toys on strings, and two other cats who prefer to be showered with pets. I am a believer that if you pay attention the animal will let you know what it's boundaries are.

Whether they need walks, playtime, cuddles, companionship, or just someone to keep them company, I’m happy to be their person while you’re away. ❤️ Your pets aren’t just a job to me—they’re family, and I’ll treat them like my own I’m home all day with a very flexible schedule. I’m able to build my day around the pets in my care, giving them plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, walks, meals, and—most importantly—lots of love and companionship. I don’t have to rush off to work or leave them alone for long periods, so they can have someone around throughout the day just like they would at home with their pawrents. 🐾❤️ Whether your pets are staying in my home or I’m caring for them in their own home, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow their normal routines as closely as possible, including meals, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of attention and cuddles. About: We have a secure fenced backyard for supervised play and potty breaks. Dog hangout and sleep in the living room so they are always near people and part of the home. I’ve raised my own dog from a 2-month-old fluffball into a grown German Shepherd, which has given me firsthand experience caring for dogs through different stages of life. I also trained him to be friendly with my 3 cats, so I understand the patience and socialization it takes to help dogs & cats feel safe, comfortable, and happy at home. Available to check in on pet care every 2-4h daily on weekdays and weekends. I’m able to plan my day around walks, drop-ins, playtime, and drop ins. Your fluffy friend will stay in a clean, calm house with a secure fenced backyard for safe potty breaks and supervised outdoor time. Inside, I have extra rooms that can be used to create separate space when needed. Safety and comfort come first!
“We had Sammie stay with Elliot and Dominique for nine days and we can't say enough positive things about her experience. They sent us daily pictures and texts letting us know how Sammie was doing. They went above and beyond to make Sammie feel loved. On pick up day, we received a very cute report card as well as a picture of Sammie which we have put on our fridge. All in all, we were very pleased with our experience with Elliot and Dominique and would highly recommend them if you are considering a place to board your pet.”
