“Jake's first experience with Cara & Dan was every bit as good as we could have hoped for. They are a kind & caring couple with pet care experience & excellent instincts, Communication was excellent: daily photos with descriptive comments & promptly responsive throughout the entire experience.”

“Rochelle was amazing! Took wonderful care of our puppy, send lots of updates and was very communicative! Put our mind at ease for our first time away and will definitely use her again!”

“I had a great experience with Kenan and would definitely recommend him. He communicated with me throughout the entire process, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I also really appreciated that he was able to take my dog on very short notice. My dog has some behavioral issues, and when I explained them, Kenan didn't seem intimidated or put off at all. He was calm, patient, and relaxed, which helped me feel much more comfortable leaving my dog in his care. It was clear that he takes his business seriously and genuinely cares about the animals he watches. The biggest sign that my dog had a great time was when I picked him up—he kept looking back at the house like he wanted to stay! That alone told me he felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to trust Kenan with my dog again.”
“We could not have asked for a better sitter for our dog while we were out of town! Thomas took him on many adventures and sent photos every day showing us how he was doing and what they were up to. Highly recommend!!”

About: Hi! I’m Brandon, and I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I work full-time as an event coordinator in Rochester, which means I’m organized, dependable, and comfortable managing responsibilities while providing great customer service. I’ve always enjoyed being around dogs and understand that every pet has a different personality and routine. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just wants company and attention, I’ll make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. I’m an active person who enjoys being outdoors, so I’m happy to provide energetic walks as well as slower-paced strolls for senior dogs. I’ll treat your pet with the same care and respect I’d want someone to show my own. When you book with me, you can expect: * Plenty of updates and photos during every visit. * Reliable, on-time arrivals. * Respect for your home and your pet’s routine. * Clear communication before, during, and after each booking. My schedule is also very flexible. I work from home three days a week, which allows me to accommodate a variety of walking, drop-in, and pet care requests throughout the day. Whether you need a midday walk, evening visit, or weekend care, I’ll do my best to work around your pet’s routine and provide dependable, consistent care. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! I’m currently working full time at University of Rochester. I work from home 3 days a week, which makes my schedule flexible during the week. I also have weekends off for the most part. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home is clean, smoke-free, and has a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. I understand that every dog has their own routine, and I’ll do my best to keep them comfortable and stress-free. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space with the same respect and care I would my own.

“Great first experience for our little Chihuahua, KB. These folks are so loving and patient. KB did great and really enjoyed herself as well as made some new friends! Thank you so much for putting us at ease!”

“Fabiola is awesome. She took great care my cat, Milo, for several weeks. She was happy to accommodate late minute request to extend the stay. She's very patient and looks like my cat enjoyed his stay with her.”

“Elliot and Dominique were fantastic caretakers and hosts for my dog while I was out of town for a week. They are always very responsive and communicative and provide frequent updates. I also appreciated that there was always someone in the house, and I was reassured knowing that my pup was never left alone. I felt like they made my dog part of their family while I was away, and I highly recommend them.”

“Deb was amazing! Our pup felt super comfortable at her place and we felt comfortable knowing he was in such good hands! Would definitely go through her again, she made us feel so at ease!”

“Kimberley was incredible. As it was our first time using Rover, we were nervous dog parents but she quickly assuaged our fears and Margie did amazing! She offers training and even clipped Margie’s nails. We got daily photos and videos, which helped us feel close to Margie. Looking forward to working with her again soon!”

“Rachel accommodated my last minute request and made drop off and pick up incredibly easy. She watched my new rescue puppy for several hours and graciously dealt with his nervousness and separation anxiety. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Tyler and Melissa are great. Leo runs into their house when we get there even though it’s been a few months since he last saw them. They take great care of Leo and it feels great to have him so well taken care of.”

“Amber was wonderful! Lucky, our goldendoodle, has not been boarded in the 4 years that we have had him as part of our family. So it was important for us to find someone who would come to our home to check on him while we were away for the day. Amber not only came over prior to our leaving to meet us and Lucky, but also checked in on him several times while we were out. Amber's love of animals is obvious.”

“This was our first experience with Rover. Previously we had a family member take care of our pets but they had moved out of town and it was challenging to find someone that we felt as comfortable with. I can't say enough about Lavinia - not only did she take care of our pets like they were her own, she knew how to take care of Mom and Dad too! We asked for updates and throughout our vacation she sent us great photos and funny messages about the boys. She was very conscientious and careful about everything in the house. She also took care of our flowers and birds perfectly. You can't fake this kind of care and devotion and we feel so incredibly grateful to have found her.”

“Rico was great! He was attentive to my cat and was patient with him until he felt comfortable enough to come out. He was communicative with me every day and made sure to send photos and updates of how the visit was going. My cat seemed very happy and well taken care of when I got back home. Thank you, Rico!”

“Caroline did a great job with our cat, Blanche—sitting with her when she decided to hide or tossing toys when she felt playful. She arrived on time and brought in the packages from our porch. We highly recommend Caroline and hope to have her come back for our next trip!”

“I instantly felt comfortable about having Rachel take care of my cat Abi. She asked questions to make sure she understood how to care for him. She left me thoughtful notes about her visits and wonderful photos of my fur baby. I will definitely have her take care of Abi again. 😻”

“We had a last minute need for care over February break, so not an easy time to find someone. In came Baela to the rescue! Her schedule lined up with our kitten’s normal feeding times, too, so that was a bonus! She spent time playing with our little high energy guy each visit, and followed our directions perfectly. Thank you, Baela!”

“Madeline was awesome! She was communicative, sent wonderful photos, and did a great job! We were able to rest easy knowing our cat was in great hands while we’re away! Thanks, Madeline!”

“We can’t recommend Alexandria highly enough. She’s not only reliable and professional, she genuinely connects with animals. She took the time to understand our cat (not always easy!), kept us consistently updated with great communication, and made the whole experience stress-free. When our travel plans were delayed, she stepped in and kindly helped. If you want someone who truly cares and treats your pets like their own, Alexandria is the one.”

“Alina did an amazing job taking care of my cat during Christmas time! She responded quickly and sent me lots of great pictures of my cat during visits. Thank you Alina!”

About: I have experience caring for cats and have had my own for over a year. I’m comfortable with feeding, providing fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, and giving attention or cuddles when your cat wants them. I pay close attention to each cat’s personality and needs, so shy or independent cats feel safe and confident, while social cats receive plenty of love and interaction. I follow your instructions carefully to keep their routine consistent and stress-free. If your cat is fully leash-trained and comfortable outdoors, I am open to supervised harnessed walks. For safety, cats must be secure in a properly fitted harness and not prone to backing out or attempting to escape. If you’d like your cat “walked” or exercised, you can book it under the Dog Walk rate

“Gabby was wonderful taking care of our kitty while we're away! She was consistent with time and sent us pictures of our kitty every day. It was great to hear how our kitty was doing and see her from pictures! And, Gabby became the best friend of our kitty's! I highly recommend her!!!”

“Michelle proved to be very reliable with her assignment of waking our dog Ramen during our absence from home. She is a great communicator. Certainly will use her again.”

About: Communication and Reliability are key! I have a tuxedo cat who is turning 6 this December. I also live with my boyfriend who has two cats, one 9 and the other 2. My daily cat experience is high. Each cat has their own personalities and quirks. Beyond that, since a young age most my friends had cats with varying personalities and required age considering some were pushing 12. I would help with their care when I visited because I loved them as my own and wished to spend lots of time with them. I've learned tricks here and there to administer pills and liquid meds. Playtime, space, and petting time I've learned to adjust based on personality. And I believe I have a good eye for cat discomfort. Let's arrange something!

About: I am a lifelong cat owner and animal lover! I have personal experience administering pet medications including pain medications (pills or syringe) and insulin (pens or syringe). I also have experience with navigating the emergency vet system and have a list of resources if needed. A typical drop-in visit will include feeding, water refresh, litter box tending if needed/requested, medication administration if needed/requested, and lots of playtime & snuggles!
“Grace was wonderful! We felt so confident with our cat in her care. She was a great communicator, always came right on time, and went above and beyond (patiently!) troubleshooting a piece of pet tech that was acting up while we were gone. By the end of the week, our typically feisty cat had warmed up to Grace. Will definitely hire her again!!”

“Omgosh what a great experience! Short notice meet and greet and then next day stay. Such obvious dog lovers and a welcoming home. Jackson’s big big and fills up a room and they let him. This was a situation where we needed help in a pinch but we will definitely be booking again. This was such a great first time Rover experience - thank you!!”

“We booked a trial daycare before our boarding to make sure it was a good fit for everyone and it went great! Please see my full review about how much fun Sal had while staying over for boarding. Thanks again!”

“I really am so happy with the care my dog received here. She was happy and would have probably been happy to stay and play with these wonderful humans! It feels great to know that she is being loved a LOT! Highly recommend.”

“Ricardo was so great with our dog! Took him out for a walk in all kinds of weather, and he came home happy and tired. Great communication and updates - we are hoping to work with him again soon. Thanks Ricardo!”

“Marie understood Chica's anxiety from being away from home for the first time and gave her plenty of attention and exercise. Marie was very attentive towards Chica and gave us positive feedback regarding her stay. We highly recommend Marie!”

“Amazing! Carla’s positive energy and chill personality was a hit with my girl. She was super content and tired after each day. I will definitely be returning!”
“We are new to the area and didn't know anyone who could watch our dogs for the day while we moved from our rental into our new house, so using Rover was an obvious choice. We needed someone to pick up our two dogs early at the rental and drop them off late at the new house and Adriana agreed to both. Even when I contacted her to ask if she could keep them a little longer since the move wasn't complete, she agreed to do so without any additional fees. She didn't even complain when one of the dogs threw up in her car and defecated in her home. (Sorry about that!) I would definitely call on Adriana again if the need arises.”

“Alex was a great host for daycare! He was able to accommodate our schedule, great communication throughout the process, provided daily updates and pictures of Milo's stay. Milo had a wonderful space to play and nap all day, would recommend for anyone needing services.”

“Rachel provided kind, attentive and friendly care to my girl Lucy. She provided photos and updates on Lucy and how her day was going. I feel that my girl is in great hands and that I trust Rachel is giving Lucy all the love and attention she needs!”

“Quinn is fantastic! She was welcoming and loving to my pup. She kept me updated throughout the day with regular photos and comments which I loved receiving. My pup was exhausted from running and playing all day with her doggies in her large, fenced in yard. My pup & I look forward to him returning to her top-notch care!”

About: Hello! Thank you for trusting me with your pet’s care and comfort. 🐾😊 I’m a licensed veterinary technician and professional dog trainer with a lifelong passion for animal care. With both medical and behavioral experience, I’m comfortable handling everything from shy or anxious pups to seniors and those with special needs. Your dog isn’t just being watched, they’re being truly understood and cared for. I conduct meet-and-greets in your home so your pup can feel comfortable in their own environment while we get to know each other. I’ve found this sets everyone up for success because, just like kids, dogs often behave better when their parents are away. Instead of overwhelming them with a new space and new dogs all at once, I take the first few days to carefully introduce them to my home and pack. This thoughtful approach creates a calmer, safer transition and helps prevent stress or conflict. Safety is always my top priority. I take pride in creating a structured, low-stress environment where every dog feels secure and respected. At this time, I primarily accept dogs 40 lbs and under. Larger dogs are welcome to inquire and may be accepted depending on temperament, ease of care, and compatibility with my household. I share my home with well-balanced dogs, one younger Border Collie, Hopper, a rescue chihuahua Skipper, a rescue Collie mix, Jake and my rescue Shiba Inu, Renji. 🐕 I also have some dog-savvy cats who are very accustomed to canine guests. 🐱 My home is designed with comfort in mind, whether your pup loves to play or prefers a quiet place to relax. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, cozy lounging areas, and easy access for senior dogs who may need to avoid stairs. To ensure the highest level of care and attention, I typically host one guest dog at a time. I’m happy to accommodate multiple dogs from the same family. As an added bonus, I can provide basic grooming services during your dog’s stay, including nail trims, ear cleaning, bathing, and anal gland expression if needed for an additional fee. Feel free to inquire. I look forward to your fur baby’s stay! Thank you and have a ✨ Pawsitive ✨ day! Kimberley G, LVT, CDT I work from home so daily pet care is easy and your pets are never left alone for more than a couple hours. When I do have to leave, I have cameras to help keep an eye on them and make sure they are safe as well. 👀 I care for guests the same way I care for my own pets. I appreciate how scary it can be leaving your fur baby in someone else’s hands, so I send pictures and updates as frequently as you’d like. Safety is my number one priority. I will always do my best to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for your pup. My motto? “They’ll be relaxed, so you can relax.” 🐾☺️
About: Murphy and I are a tag team! Please only reach out if your pets are good with other dogs. I’ve always been the girl who is obsessed with dogs. I grew up with dogs and I was the one who took care of them, and that love for caring and training has only grown. I’m the type of person who needs a lot of “outside time” so my soul dog Murphy and I spend a good amount of time playing in the courtyard and going on multiple walks a day; I truly don’t know who’s happier. Currently, I have a very open schedule and it’s just Murphy and I at home all day. Some evenings I babysit for my family out in Spencerport, but kid friendly dogs are welcome to come with me and there is also a large yard (not fenced in, but there is a 30 ft leash set up). I have a fenced in grass courtyard where the dogs can play, and my apartment is very open and there’s lots of room for dogs to play inside. My dog Murphy does not need to be crated when left alone, but I have a small cage in case anyone who visits needs it. Murphy has more toys than I care to admit, so your pups will have lots to play with.
“Ivanna took good care of our pet. She asked ahead of time how the pet should be handles in terms of food, walks etc. She sent pictures of our pet during the sitting. The pet lookedhapoy at pickup. Overall it was a paw-sitive experience for our buddy.”

“Matthew took our high energy high anxiety pup for walks twice a day while I took care of my terminally ill mom. He was reliable, friendly, and wonderful with Evie. Thank you Matthew!!!”

“Perfect! John was so very nice and friendly to both me and Teddy. He knew just how to treat a young dog with very little experience walking along with a strange person and also handle the anxiety Teddy gets when he sees or hears larger animals. Our experience(s) were great and we will book with you again John. Thank You, Donna, Julia, and Teddy”

“Alexandra was absolutely amazing with my Enzo. She was generous with her time and went above and beyond for me. It makes working long hours so much easier when you know your dog is being well cared for.”

“Emma did a great job and performed the services as requested! She is friendly, and good with the dogs.I was able to work through my day knowing that the dogs were being walked! Thanks again”

About: In highschool I was very popular in my neighborhood from doing there dog nails, to dog sitting, over night stays, and even medications. Even back in high school I had a part time and school and still made sure the fur babies were taken care of. To this day I still dog sit for my neighbor. I also worked at a doggy daycare for about 6 months then i moved, I learned so much while I was there in that short period of time from learning to gain respect and how to control a group of 15+ dogs . And was in a animal science program in highschool with a mentorship at a clinic, then tried to go to college for my vet tech degree but too expensive(still paying that off). I also do have a very energetic German shepherd who I train every day she knows pretty much everything(sit, lay down, roll over, paw, other paw, high five, spin, heel, center, look, leave it, back up, and wait). I also dog sat for my boyfriend's coworker who had an older pointer who had a seziure not only did I comfort the dog but I called owner asap then vet, I then called off of work. Just because it's not my animal doesn't mean I will love them any less. But the take away from all that is I have a lot of experience in the animal department. I'm currently working part time and have a lot of free time on my hands and love being around animals . I only work wensday-saturday the other days I'm free. But as you can see with my profile I do have my own fur baby but my boyfriend never works nights or weekends so she won't be alone. For the pets at clients housing not only will I respond to you text asap even if I'm busy, I will also ask for guide lines and try to keep your dog on the schedule you have them on consistency is key, especially when a change like you leaving happens. I also am a big over thinker so before I let the dog out if you have a yard I will always make sure the gates are close and secure and make sure there's nothing laying out that would harm them. When I dog sit I imagine as if it's my own dog.
“Kate is just so wonderful with our Luke and she’s become a trusted partner helping us care for him when we have long days. Luke loves seeing her and she makes sure Luke gets pampered while with her. We appreciate Kate so much and will look forward to continue working with her.”

“We could not have asked for a better sitter for our dog while we were out of town! Thomas took him on many adventures and sent photos every day showing us how he was doing and what they were up to. Highly recommend!!”

“Tyler and Melissa are great. Leo runs into their house when we get there even though it’s been a few months since he last saw them. They take great care of Leo and it feels great to have him so well taken care of.”

“Rebecca was simply wonderful. She was incredible with communication and sent us tons of pictures of our baby while we were away. She’s a very loving caregiver, and we would use her again in a heartbeat.”

“Alex and Bethany treated Sunny just like the princess she believes herself to be, but also challenged her with long walks, new spaces, and some nearby unfamiliar animals (cattle). She could not have had a better experience--as testimony, when we came to pick her up, she hopped up in the car, but then turned back to give a Bethany a little goodbye kiss. I think that says it all--straight from the dog's mouth (or nose). (I should also mention the outstanding photos and videos of her stay!)”

“Hannah was amazing.! I could tell that Ben was cared for properly and treated like apart of her family. Great environment for my dog and I will definitely be using her services more often.”
